Chapter 295 Nolan is not a fool
Silverlight City Hospital.
Luna had three stitches at the hairline, luckily it was at the hairline, so even if there was a scar, it wouldn't be too noticeable. It would have been a pity if it were on her face.
Wilson, who came along, looked at Luna worriedly. "Does it still hurt?"
Luna glanced at Wilson with reddened eyes and could tell that both Wilson and Nolan were kind-hearted.
But she had a purpose in getting close to Nolan.
And she took advantage of Wilson's kindness.
"I'm fine."
"Do you need money? Don't work in that kind of place anymore. I used to work at Starlink Club when I was in need of money too. I know that these things can happen in places like that. If you want to avoid such situations, you have to quit." Wilson felt sorry for Luna, but also for herself.
She remembered the difficult situation she was in when she was working at Starlink Club, if it wasn't for Emily and Henry, it would have been even tougher for her.
"My grandfather is sick, and it takes a lot of money to treat him." Luna lowered her head and stopped talking.
And Sophia transferred her grandfather to another hospital. If she didn't listen and comply, Sophia would cut off her grandfather's treatment expenses and kick him out of the hospital.
At that time, her grandfather would die.
Wilson remained silent for a while and asked, "Are you still a college student? What is your major?"
"I studied finance management at Alpha University," Luna whispered.
Wilson glanced at Nolan. "Mr. Cunningham, if her major matches, can we let her into the Cunningham Family?"
Nolan frowned. "Is the Cunningham Family involved in charity work?"
Wilson felt that Nolan's words were too harsh. "She took a bottle for you."
"For whom did I almost get injured?" Nolan furrowed his brows at Wilson and thought to himself, I am your boss, not just anyone.
Wilson felt guilty. This matter was ultimately her meddling.
"I'm sorry, sis, thank you, but I know I don't have the qualifications to enter the Cunningham Family, such an impressive enterprise. But I will work hard to pass the interview and assessment," Luna smiled at Wilson.
Wilson nodded. Indeed, her own life was a mess, and she couldn't control much.
But she also knew that if Luna didn't plan to quit, helping Luna this time would only bring her more trouble.
"I'll take you home," Nolan glanced at Luna.
"No need, I'll walk back. My home is very close to here. Thank you," Luna quickly bowed to Nolan, holding onto his clothes. "I will return your clothes after washing them. Goodbye."
After saying that, Luna ran off, not giving Nolan a chance to refuse.
"Mr. Cunningham, did you give her your contact information?" Wilson asked.
"No," Nolan replied coldly.
"In that case, it looks like she will go to the company to return it to you," Wilson had already guessed that Luna wasn't foolish.
She did indeed want to get close to Nolan.
Wilson could understand Luna's feelings. It was like when she wanted to get close to Ethan back then, just for self-preservation and survival.
To be honest, Wilson thought Luna was really similar to herself.
Wilson wanted to help her, but she was powerless.
"You're not too stupid," Nolan said coldly. "Just be more careful in the future. There are plenty of women like her who try to get my attention."
Nolan's words surprised Wilson. He didn't think Nolan was dumb enough to see through it all. But at the same time, Wilson felt guilty. In the eyes of men like Nolan and Ethan, women like them were transparent when it came to their intentions.
Did Ethan know that she was intentionally trying to get his attention when he first noticed her? The thought of Ethan made Wilson cover her face in despair. Ethan definitely knew.
"Mr. Cunningham, how did you figure it out?" Wilson nervously asked.
"She has such a small degree of courage that she's not afraid to pour me a drink and try to get my attention," Nolan replied indifferently. "Earlier, when you mentioned the Cunningham Family, she didn't show any shock or surprise. It means she probably already knew that I am a part of the Cunningham Family and may even know my identity." Nolan's voice was low.
"You're really smart," Wilson hadn't noticed this at all. She only thought Luna wanted to get close to Nolan because he protected her tonight. If what Nolan said was true, Luna probably knew about his identity a long time ago, and that was truly frightening.
"Be smarter from now on. If any woman wants to get close to your boss, you have to stop her, understand?" Nolan warned Wilson in a low voice.
Wilson quickly nodded. "Got it, boss."
Outside the hospital, Ethan heard the news and ran over quickly, scrutinizing Wilson up and down. "Where did you get hurt? Who dares to lay a hand on you?"
Ethan was extremely worried, glaring at Nolan. "My wife follows you for work, and you take her out to accompany clients? Nolan, you better behave yourself, or you'll regret it later!"
Nolan's face darkened. "As the CEO's assistant, it's within her job to accompany me to socialize."
"Don't go too far!" Ethan stepped forward, ready to fight Nolan.
Wilson quickly hugged Ethan. "I just scraped my face a little. If you had come a bit later, it would have healed."
Wilson quickly spoke again. "Moreover, it was me who meddled first. Mr. Cunningham came to help me, which resulted in what happened afterward."
Ethan snorted. "Don't speak up for him. He's not a good person. From the beginning, he had ulterior motives when he took you out to socialize!"
Ethan protected Wilson and warned Nolan, saying, "Nolan, I'm telling you, there will come a time when you'll regret and apologize while crying."
After saying that, he grabbed Wilson and walked away.
Wilson felt a bit embarrassed and glanced back at Nolan, saying, "Sorry, Mr. Cunningham, I'm getting off work."
After speaking, she was dragged away by Ethan.
Nolan stood still, seething with anger at Ethan's sudden outburst.
Why was Ethan acting so crazy? Did he lose his mind after being kicked out of Stellar Enterprises by Howard?
Nolan thought Ethan was behaving abnormally.
And Ethan saw him the same way.
At the rental house,
Seeing that Ethan was still angry, Wilson quickly tried to appease him, saying, "Ethan, don't be mad. It was just a normal social gathering. Mr. Cunningham even deliberately asked me to go to the restroom. He's not a bad person."
Having been in contact with Nolan for a long time, Wilson actually understood that Nolan was not a completely bad person.
Ethan looked at Wilson and said, "Don't speak up for him. Have you forgotten how he used to bully you?"
Wilson lowered her gaze in disappointment and replied, "I don't care."
She had heard hurtful words and had been misunderstood by many people.
She had gotten used to it.
"But I care!" Ethan held Wilson in his arms. "I won't allow anyone to mistreat you, especially Nolan."
If Wilson really turned out to be Nolan's sister, then Nolan should be prepared to acknowledge her again!
He must make Nolan feel the pain he caused!
