Chapter 310 Jasmine and Luna Reach an Agreement

In the Ethan's residence.
Luna came out of the bathroom and bumped into Jasmine, who was leaning against the door.
Luna was startled by Jasmine's presence, feeling inexplicably afraid.
Luna was somewhat afraid of Jasmine. Even though everyone believed Jasmine was gentle and easy to bully, Luna could see coldness and darkness in Jasmine's eyes.
She knew that she and Jasmine were similar, both them had clawed their way out of hell.
She knew Jasmine's terrifying nature better than anyone else.
If it weren't for Ethan and her son, Jasmine would be a woman who could give up her life. Such a person was frightening.
Luna had investigated Jasmine and knew what she had been through, a past even more horrifying than her own.
Luna knew that without Ethan, Jasmine was going to take a completely different and murderous path, filled with evil. Just like her.
"Luna, let me guess who called you?" Jasmine looked at Edgar playing with the children on the balcony and spoke in a deep voice. “Was it Sophia? She made you deliberately approach the Cunningham family’s brothers, causing discord between them, so that she could easily assign you all the tasks later, right?"
Luna took a sharp breath and said, "Jasmine, it seems like you have a great deal of distrust and prejudice against me."
"You'd better tell me the truth right now," Jasmine interrupted Luna, "My companion for you is limited."
Jasmine would not allow Luna to harm Edgar.
"Jasmine, isn't there any purpose for you to reach Ethan? I don't believe it," Luna no longer pretended and stepped closer to Jasmine, speaking softly. "I don't believe you have no one back you from behind."
She was gambling that Jasmine was too similar to her.
Jasmine could survive in the terrible environment of prison and get close to Ethan, even marrying him. Did she really believe it was all her efforts? Luna didn't think it.
Jasmine furrowed her brow, raised her hand, and pushed Luna into the bathroom. She followed Luna inside and closed the bathroom door.
Luna felt inexplicably afraid and took a few steps back unconsciously.
Jasmine looked at Luna, with a low voice. "I will not do anything to harm Ethan because I love him. What about you?"
Luna tightened her fists, her eyes turning red. "It sounds so nice when speaking about others. You can be fine because Ethan loves you. Even if the child is not his, even if you have a troubled past, shattered and dirty, he still likes you."
There was a moment of silence, and Luna spoke again. "Sophia has something on me. My grandfather is seriously ill, and she holds his life in her hands. She can give me money, save my grandfather's life, and help me seek revenge. I will listen to her. I am willing to sacrifice my life for it. Every decision I make is my own choice."
Do not advise others before experiencing their suffering.
"The choice is important. Whether you choose a path filled with darkness or you choose the path toward light, it's up to you," Jasmine leaned against the door and sighed.
"Jasmine, do you think everyone is as fortunate as you? There are thousands of unfortunate girls like us in this world, but how many of them can meet someone like Ethan? So, among the unlucky, you are lucky."
Luna shrugged. "I live with clarity. I don't care about this body, this soul, or whether anyone loves me. Men are all devils."
Not to mention, her body was already battered and broken.
"What leverage does Sophia have on you, Luna?" Jasmine asked.
Luna tightened her grip on her hands and remained silent.
"There are millions of unfortunate girls like you and me in the world. You may not have met Ethan, but you have met me," Jasmine stood tall and said firm, "If you trust me, we can work together. If you don't, you'd rather choose to be in league with Satan, and no one will be able to save you."
It all depended on whether Luna was willing to embrace corruption or choose to survive.
Seeing Luna remain silent, Jasmine shook her head and turned to leave.
"My parents died a long time ago in a car accident caused by a hit-and-run driver. We are from a small town with no insurance or compensation. Their deaths were in vain." Luna finally spoke up.
"It was my grandfather who raised me. He was a craftsman, making handicrafts to support my college education. In college, I worked part-time to earn money. I was willing to do any dirty and tiring work. In our class, there was a wealthy guy who took an interest in me and pursued me. But I knew that if I agreed, I would be a plaything to them. They didn't have any genuine feelings," Luna sarcastically laughed. "I refused, but that angered him. He tricked me out of school and drugged me with spiked drinks in a KTV private room. After that, I experienced something even worse than hell."
As Luna spoke about these things, her whole body trembled.
Clenching herself tightly, Luna crouched on the ground, her eyes burning with hatred.
"That night, there were thirteen men." Luna looked up at Jasmine, fuming with anger and her lips bitten until they bled. "They recorded videos of me, threatening me not to report it, not to speak out, and claiming that I had consented. They gave me $15,600."
"Why didn't you report it?" Jasmine averted her gaze, gripping her hands tightly.
"Report it? What can I get?" Luna continued trembling, holding herself tightly. "They are the high and the mighty. Even if the police catch them, will my life become any better? Will their families spare me and my grandfather? I have no choice but to endure. There is no other way for me."
Trembling, Luna continued, holding herself tightly. "Sophia found me because she is my grandfather's niece. She started sponsoring my tuition ten years ago, and I am grateful to her. I thought she was an angel."
Sophia and Luna came from the same hometown, and their blood relation made sense.
"When I had nowhere else to turn, I asked my grandfather for Sophia's contact information. I thought she would help me or at least comfort me. But she took advantage of the situation, as well as my grandfather's illness, to blackmail me into doing things for her. She said that she sponsored me all these years because she expected me to repay her."
Luna sarcastically laughed and explained.
The series of unfortunate events she experienced had left her completely blinded to any glimmer of hope.
She didn't care about anything anymore. She only wanted revenge and to cure her grandfather's illness.
"I even thought that if my grandfather died, I would kill those people," Luna whispered.
"Perhaps people in the darkness can find warmth in unity, rather than hoping for someone to save us." Jasmine said, walking up to Luna, crouched down, and looking into her eyes. “Luna, we have to save ourselves, never put hope in anyone else."
Jasmine knew very well that even though she loved Ethan, she would never become completely dependent on him and rely solely on him for protection.
Everyone in this world is an independent individual and must have their value in order to build lasting relationships.
Luna looked at Jasmine and inquired, "Can you help me? How can you help? Ethan is in trouble right now, and Sophia is targeting you and the Cunningham family."
Jasmine reached out to Luna and said, "I believe in him. He won't be stuck at the bottom forever, just like we won't be trapped in the abyss forever."
Luna looked at Jasmine and remained silent for a long time, then handed over her hands.
"Leave those scumbags who bullied you to me. As long as you listen to me, Sophia won't harm your grandfather. Let's work together to climb out of this swamp." Jasmine looked at Luna, waiting for her answer.
"Can I trust you?" Luna lowered her head and muttered.
"You tell me all this, do you have any other choice?" Jasmine knew that once Luna told her these things, she had no other options.
Luna laughed and said, "You're smart and a little scary."
