Chapter 409  Ethan Bullied Jasmine

At Ethan's Residence.

When Jasmine and Ethan got home, it was already midnight.

They were exhausted from helping to find Casey and Lily tonight.

"Casey is happy with the Cunningham family. As long as a child has someone to accompany them, they'll be happy," Ethan reassured Jasmine.

"What about Lisa and Jordan?" Jasmine didn't want to comment on those two; they were quite irresponsible.

As parents, they hadn't provided a secure home for their child.

"Jordan? I think we should just consider him dead." Ethan didn't like Jordan, thinking he was cowardly and irresponsible.

Jasmine remained silent.

"When we were in school, Jordan pursued me," Jasmine said softly after a moment.

Ethan got angry and said, "What a bummer."

Jasmine hugged Ethan from behind. "But whenever I needed protection and help, he was never there. He ran faster than anyone else."

"He doesn't deserve to like you," Ethan said tenderly, holding Jasmine and walking towards the bathroom. "Let's take a good bath tonight."

Jasmine laughed. "Do I smell like a dirty water bucket?"

Ethan's face darkened for a moment, then he cupped Jasmine's face and kissed her. "I don't mind."

"Mr. Douglas, your cleanliness standards vary for everyone. You're very lenient with me," Jasmine teased Ethan.

Ethan raised an eyebrow, noticing that Jasmine was getting naughtier.

He took off all of Jasmine's clothes and carried her into the bathtub.

"Ethan." Jasmine was afraid of slipping and clung tightly to Ethan's neck.

Because the bathtub in the rental house was small, they wouldn't slip.

Ethan laughed, his voice hoarse and full of temptation. "Jasmine."

Jasmine blushed and lay on Ethan's shoulder. "Stop calling me."

"Cordelia gave a few names for you to choose from. We'll go change your name tomorrow." Ethan couldn't wait for Jasmine to change her name.

After changing her name, he could get a new marriage certificate with Jasmine.

He couldn't be at ease without a marriage certificate.

He was always afraid Jasmine would leave again.

The phone rang; it was Tom calling.

"Ethan, why are you looking for Tyler?" Tom seemed to be at a bar and found a quiet place. "Everyone knows Tyler is disgusting. He specifically deceives naive college students. He's not a good person."

"Send him and that group to jail." Ethan gave Tom a task.

Tom was excited. "He commits crimes every day. Sending him to jail won't be difficult. Group sex alone is enough to convict him."

And there were many victims he had raped.

"You and Mitchell find evidence and try to keep them in jail," Ethan leaned against the bathtub, glanced at Jasmine sleeping in his arms, and asked softly, "I asked you to watch Connor. Has he done anything unusual?"

"No, he spends all his time at home and the hospital. He has no desires and no private life. He might be impotent," Tom didn't understand. He couldn't stand not going out to have fun for a day, but Connor was very restrained.

"I haven't seen him contact any girls," Tom added.

"My god." Tom suddenly thought. "Ethan, he might be gay."

Ethan rubbed his temples. "There must be something wrong with your brain."

He knew Connor wasn't gay. Connor couldn't possibly like men.

"No way, this is too dangerous. He's very clean. He cleans the house every day, wears a mask and gloves when entering, and sprays alcohol to disinfect. I'm not a virus." Tom was very dissatisfied.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.

Ethan laughed out of frustration. "You should sleep in his bed more often; let him get used to your scent. He'll get used to it eventually."

Ethan was essentially hurting both of them with this suggestion.

Because animals usually left their scent around their territory to mark it.

And Connor's level of cleanliness was even more extreme than Ethan's.

Ethan knew Connor had a cleanliness obsession, and as a psychologist, he had his own psychological issues. He had severe OCD, which Ethan had known about since school.

Connor chose psychology, and Ethan never thought he would become a psychologist.

Maybe he wanted to save himself. But unexpectedly, the more he tried to save himself, the more twisted he became.

Jasmine, who was lying in Ethan's arms, suddenly woke up and almost slipped.

"Jasmine, it's okay. I won't let you slip," Ethan comforted Jasmine.

Tom heard the noise. "Ethan, do you have a woman in your arms?"

Ethan sneered. "Do you have a problem with that?"

"No, I don't." Tom thought he had misheard. "Ethan, this woman must be amazing to make you so gentle."

"That's none of your business. Just do your job." Ethan was about to hang up.

"No way, I'm curious." Tom's curiosity was strong.

"If there's a chance next time, I'll let you meet her," Ethan said with a slight smile.

"Alright," Tom was about to hang up but remembered something. "Ethan, I just saw Daniel. Howard is having surgery in the hospital, and Daniel came to drink and even called out Jasmine's name. Do you remember Jasmine? She was the one who went to the Douglas family to be your assistant."

Ethan looked down at Jasmine. Of course, he remembered.

"I've always hated Daniel. Back then, Jordan, Daniel, and I all liked Jasmine, but I was the only one who was sincere. They were all fake," Tom said proudly, "If I had been the one to rush into the bathroom to save Jasmine, I would have been her boyfriend."

Ethan's tone turned cold. "Do you want to go to the desert?"

"Ethan, Jasmine definitely likes me. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been chasing me recently, asking if I was her son's father!" Tom was certain Jasmine had feelings for him.

"Well, Liam is still in the desert. You can go find him," Ethan said and hung up.

He looked at Jasmine, who was sleeping soundly.

"Jasmine, you said your favorite person is me, only me." Ethan teased Jasmine, kissing her while she was asleep.

Jasmine, half-asleep, hugged Ethan's neck and responded to his kiss. "I like Ethan the most."

Ethan felt a rush of warmth to his head. Hearing Jasmine say that, he couldn't hold back.

"No, I'm tired," Jasmine woke up scared by Ethan and whispered coquettishly.

"You don't have to move, I'll do it."

"Ethan!"

At the Cunningham family.

Alex couldn't reach Evelina, so he had to call Cordelia.

Cordelia lied that Evelina had gone to sleep, then went downstairs, walked out of the yard, and saw Alex waiting anxiously outside.

"You should be with your old flame, Karen," Cordelia said coldly.

"Where is Evelina? I want to see her," Alex anxiously explained.

"She has already had the divorce papers drawn up. You know Evelina; once she decides something, she won't change her mind," Cordelia said sternly.
