Chapter 328 Nolan Is Acting Up Again
In Silverlight City Hospital.
Richard and Betty entered the ward together, looking at Aurora lying on the bed with wet hair from crying.
She weakly raised her eyes to glance at Richard, then looked at Betty. "Richard, do you hate me so much that you bring her here to provoke me?"
Betty rolled her eyes and took the initiative to hug his arm.
Betty really wanted to make her mad. Aurora had quite the nerve, jumping from the second floor.
Richard said nothing and walked to the bedside. "Aurora, we have been separated for many years. Now I have a wife and my own life. I hope you can love yourself. If you don't love yourself, no one will ever love you."
Aurora gazed heatedly at Richard. "What did you say? Wife? Are you going to marry her?" Aurora was getting anxious, propping herself to sit up.
Betty shook the ring on her hand, showing off.
Aurora's eyes reddened. "Richard, it was Betty who drove me away from you back then."
"The result is that you left, isn't it?" Richard asked.
Aurora was choked for a moment, and her emotions started to spiral out of control. "Why are you treating me like this? Why?"
At the door, William knocked and handed Betty a business card. "I'm a senior fellow majoring in psychology, with his counseling clinic specializing in various psychological issues. He works closely with authorities to manage extreme criminal psychology. He's really good. Take Aurora to see him."
Betty raised an eyebrow. It had to be William, hitting the nail on the head.
Aurorawas typical psychological problems.
She used to despise Richard for being poor, saying once she abandoned he, for good. Now, she has turned back to pester him endlessly. Unable to own him, she was resorting to extreme measures. What was this, if not a psychological issue?
"Didn't she have depression? Let's go, take her to see a doctor," Betty signaled her bodyguard to take Aurora in a wheelchair.
Aurora struggled. "No, Richard, I'm not going!"
"If you're sick, you should see a doctor. We won't force you if you don't want to, but from now on, I will absolutely not appear in front of you again. Considering our past friendship, I have already had Madison give you tens of thousands of dollars. I will also cover the medical expenses and any future costs. Take care of yourself and live a good life."
Richard set boundaries with Aurora.
"Richard, did you have to be so harsh on me? To retaliate for me being harsh on you back then? I told you I had my reasons. Why couldn't you believe me?" Aurora asked Richard, tears streaming down her face.
"Did you go see a therapist?" Betty asked.
Aurora's eyes turned red. "Okay, I'll go."
She thought about it and went to see a therapist, always managing to make Richard feel even more guilty toward her.
"Over the years, do you know what kind of days I've been living? I've thought of you countless times, wanting you to come and save me, but you never showed up," Aurora sat in a wheelchair, her voice hoarse.
"Can you still speak? When you went abroad, could he go abroad too? Did he save you? How did he save you? Did he save you in a dream?"
Betty was in a bad mood for no apparent reason.
Aurora didn't want to deal with Betty, feeling that she was very annoying. "Richard, can you ask her to leave? Please, consider it a favor for me."
"She is my wife," Richard said firmly as he held Betty's hand.
Betty's heart fluttered as she glanced at Richard.
His smiled at her and quietly entered the elevator.
Aurora felt that they were shining brightly together, withher fingers almost pinching the palms.
Richard and she werein the same world
Betty, this high and mighty heiress, their marriage couldn't last.
She was determined to win Richard back.
In the Cunningham Group.
Jasmine sat at her desk, organizing the proposal for the Crestwood Development Group.
That was the version Ethan helped her revise, and it could be considered quite perfect.
No one knows what's wrong with Nolan today. He was being overly critical of every little detail. He dismissed them all.
Finally, Jasmine couldn't take it anymore. She stormed into the office with her tablet.
"Nolan, where are the issues in my proposal?" Jasmine asked.
Nolan glanced at Jasmine. "When I say there is a problem, that it is ."
Jasmine took a deep breath. "I think it's you who is the problem."
Nolan thought she had misheard. "What did you say?"
"I see you have concerns. What's wrong with you? We are about to discuss a collaboration with the Crestwood Development Group. You've told me again and again that there's something wrong with the plan. I have to tell you this." Jasmine slammed the tablet on the table. "This is the perfect solution, no doubt about it!"
Nolan smirked. "Who gave you the courage?"
Jasmine was so angry with Nolan that her eyes turned red. "Then I'll call Ms. Coco."
Jasmine felt wronged, but she didn't know how to vent her frustrations.
Although she was now a bit stronger than before, when faced with deliberate provocations from someone like Nolan, she still felt wronged and disheartened.
"I used to work very hard. Every proposal, every collaboration, every negotiation, I did my research and completed them diligently. If there's something you don't like about me, say it directly. Don't use this kind of approach; it makes you seem narrow-minded as a boss," Jasmine said, her eyes turning red. If it weren't for the monthly salary of about four thousand dollars in project commissions, she would have quit a long time ago.
Nolan saw Jasmine's eyes turn red, her voice choked up, and suddenly, she became a bit flustered and at a loss, fumbling around.
Quickly, reason triumphed over Nolan's confusion.
Wasn't she just a foxy lady? She seduced him when he was emotionally vulnerable. No wonder Ethan was head over heels for her. She definitely had some skills up her sleeve.
"Call my mom? Who gave you the confidence and courage to think that my mom would question my decision-making?" Nolan laughed, feeling like Jasmine enjoyed using Coco to threaten him now.
Jasmine raised her hand to wipe away her tears, then dialed Coco's phone number directly.
The Cunningham family dinner ended, and Coco gave Jasmine her phone number, saying she could call her for anything. She also mentioned that she liked Justin, and that Justin and the little guy get along well, suggesting that Justin should spend some time with the Cunninghams.
Jasmine readily agreed and was excited the whole day.
Ethan deeply felt that Jasmine's feeling of sending her son to marry off was profound.
Coco was so quick to respond, nervously calling out “Jasmine.''
"Ms.Coco," Jasmine choked up, but she had already tried hard to hold back her emotions.
Coco heard Jasmine's voice choking and got scared. "Jasmine, what's wrong? Take it easy, no rush."
Jasmine wasn't feeling so aggrieved originally, but Coco's concern and nervousness instantly made she unable to hold back.
She turned around, facing away from Nolan, wiping her tears.
Jasmine also didn't know why, suddenly feeling so upset and hard to control.
Why can Coco feel maternal love?
"I worked very hard on the planning, but Nolan always rejected it, being overly critical. The issues he pointed out were not valuable at all. He was deliberately picking on people," Jasmine complained to Nolan.
Nolan was shocked. Jasmine really went and reported him!
On the other end of the line, even through the screen, Coco's anger was obvious. "Jasmine, don't cry. I'll be there in ten minutes. This, I will definitely take care of it for you!"
