Chapter 83 Henry Arrived in Silverlight City

Lisa doted on Casey; after all, he was the child she had gone to great lengths to have with Jordan.
Jordan didn't love Lisa, but she was very attentive to the child in order to keep Jordan tied to her.
Anxiously rushing to Casey's side, Lisa glanced around and saw that her son’s cheeks were swollen.
She glared angrily at the academic director. "Is this how you take care of the children?!"
The director quickly stood up to apologize, trying to be very courteous. "Miss Douglas, the two children were just playing around..."
"Playing around?" Lisa's cold gaze shifted towards Jasmine, her expression darkening. "Jasmine?"
Jasmine held Justin tightly and lowered her head, trying to leave.
"Huh... I should have known it was you again; you let your son hit mine?!" Lisa shouted sharply, making the bodyguard block them at the door. "Stop them!"
The bodyguard stood at the door, preventing Jasmine from leaving. She stepped back, protecting Justin. "What do you want?"
Lisa looked at Jasmine in shock, then chuckled sarcastically for a moment. "Did you raise your son to be garbage? Is he even worthy of being in this school? Is Presidio Knolls School now a place where all kinds of rubbish can enter?"
Lisa frowned at the academic director. "You better explain to me properly. Why have you allowed this garbage to attend school here?"
"We, Stellar Enterprises, donate so much money to your school every year, just for you to accommodate garbage?" Lisa became increasingly angry.
The director wiped his sweat and hurriedly explained, "Miss Douglas, let me explain. It's not like that. Miss Jasmine... It was Mr. Douglas's order."
Lisa was even more shocked. "Jasmine, you're really shameless! Are you seducing my brother?"
Ethan had never been close to women or had any scandals, yet he arranged for Jasmine's son to attend school here?
Jasmine clenched her hands, protecting Justin as she stepped back.
"Hah... impressive. You let your son hit mine at school?! Who do you think you are?!" Lisa mocked her and raised her hand as if to hit Jasmine.
Jasmine grabbed Lisa's wrist, her gaze deep and dark. "Lisa... it was your son who provoked mine first. We are both mothers; children are our bottom line. Don't cross my bottom line."
Lisa looked at Jasmine in shock, then laughed. "You're crazy, truly crazy! Get your dirty hands off me!"
Lisa disdainfully shook off Jasmine's hand and looked at her with disgust. "Do you think you have backing now? Maybe my brother was momentarily interested in you. He probably let your son come here as an act of kindness. Doesn't everyone in Silverlight City know how dirty you are? Who do you think you are?!"
Jasmine lowered her gaze and took a deep breath.
"Don't you dare talk about my mom!" Justin glared angrily at Lisa, his demeanor resembling that of a small beast ready to pounce at any moment.
Lisa rubbed Casey's head and asked, " Casey, where did he hit you?"
"He hit my face." Casey pointed to his face.
"Jasmine, for what happened today, make your son kneel down and apologize to my son, or you kneel down and apologize to my son. Otherwise, your son will never step foot here again!"
Lisa looked interestedly at Jasmine, waiting for her to kneel and beg for mercy.
Jasmine held Justin and, after a long pause, spoke firmly, "Justin did nothing wrong. If anyone needs to apologize, it's you guys."
"Jasmine, it seems you still don't understand the situation." Lisa laughed. "Do you think my brother will care about you? Or do you think that when my brother finds out, he will protect your child instead of his own nephew?"
Jasmine bowed her head; she had no intention of letting Ethan know.
She couldn't trouble Ethan with every little thing.
"Apologize to me, kneel!" Casey, clearly spoiled, carried the inherent arrogance of a pampered child, demanding that Justin kneel to him.
Justin clenched his hands tightly and stared at Casey.
The teachers and the director remained silent. They were caught in a dilemma between the heiress of the Douglas family and someone Mr. Douglas had instructed them to respect. However, it appeared that Lisa held more significance.
After all, Lisa was Mr. Douglas's biological sister, whereas Jasmine was merely a passing romantic interest to him.
"You won't apologize, is that it?" Seeing Jasmine showing no signs of moving, Lisa looked at the director. "Expel this illegitimate child and tell all the schools in Silverlight City about how violent he is. Let's see who dares to accept him now!"
"But..." The director nervously wiped his sweat.
"If there are any issues, I'll take responsibility." Lisa coldly snorted. "If my brother asks, just say this illegitimate child injured his nephew."
The director quickly nodded.
He knew very well which was more important.
Jasmine's eyes welled up. She once again was being bullied by someone with power; she felt helpless and unable to resist.
However, she did not believe her son had done anything wrong.
"Justin, let's go. You've done nothing wrong, so there's no need to apologize. Mom would never make you apologize to the wrongdoer," Jasmine said as she picked up Justin, struggling to walk out.
This preschool was excellent. It was a school that many people couldn't get into despite trying their best, and it was also where the most geniuses were nurtured. But Jasmine felt she didn't belong here.
She wanted to instill the right values in her son, not vanity and deference to authority. She truly didn't believe her son would receive a good education in this kind of preschool.
"Jasmine, you'll come begging me one day," Lisa sneered.
Jasmine remained silent. If this preschool wouldn't take them, they would find another.
"Mom... Did I get you into trouble?" Justin hugged Jasmine's neck, his voice small and choked up.
Jasmine shook her head. "No, Justin, you're the best. It's not wrong to stand up for yourself when provoked, but you can't just hit people in the future."
Justin's eyes grew redder. "Mom, he hit me first. He tore up my sketchbook with drawings for Dad and broke my toys and started hitting me with them."
Jasmine's steps faltered as she held Justin, placing him on the roadside and carefully examining his head.
Indeed, beneath his hair, his scalp was swollen and bruised.
Jasmine's eyes welled up; her voice became hoarse and out of control. "Why didn't you tell me in the office?"
Justin cupped Jasmine's cheeks, speaking softly. "I was afraid you would be bullied."
Jasmine lowered her head, tears uncontrollably falling from her eyes.
He was only five years old; he was so young, yet so understanding. It was heart-wrenching.
Why should she be afraid of bullies if her son wasn’t?
She could live a humble life, bowing and scraping in the dust forever, but her son couldn't.
Since she gave birth to Justin, she had to take responsibility for him. She couldn't let her son continue living a dirty, humble life. She had to think for her son, even if not for herself.
Therefore, even by any means necessary, she had to break free from the current situation. She had to use all available people and resources to climb out of the abyss step by step.
"Jasmine!"
By the roadside, a black sedan came to a stop, the voice inside urgent.
Jasmine's body tensed, and she clutched Justin in panic. It was Henry. He had come to Silverlight City.
"Jasmine..."
After a five-and-a-half-hour drive, Henry finally arrived in Silverlight City. He guessed that Jasmine would be waiting for Justin at the school.
While Justin was in the hospital, their people had found out Justin's current school address.
"Henry..." Jasmine lowered her head, her grip on Justin's hand tightening.
Justin looked up at Henry, his large eyes filled with confusion.
"Are you Justin?" Henry took a deep breath, composed himself, and spoke softly. "I'm your dad."
