Chapter 809 Nolan is just a womanizer
Lucas looked around with disdain. "Amelia, stop pretending. We've already found out that you bought this guesthouse and are making money from it. You have an obligation to support us."
Amelia clenched her fists. "I have no obligation to support you. Get out!"
Caitlyn was also a bit angry. "Amelia, I raised you, and now you don't want to support me? You're not even married yet, so your guesthouse should be mine. What's wrong with me and Lucas staying here for a while? If you don't spend your money on us, who will you spend it on?"
Amelia looked at Caitlyn with despair in her eyes.
Since Caitlyn arrived, she hadn't had a moment to check on her own health. She was pregnant, and Caitlyn didn't care, only criticized and demanded.
"Mom, look at Amelia's belly, could it be like what people are saying online, that she's pregnant? Whose child is it? Amelia, you have no shame. Even if you're pregnant, you should get married first. Mom raised you, and we haven't got the money the groom's family should give at the wedding. You're too much." Lucas began to accuse Amelia.
It was only then that Caitlyn noticed Amelia was pregnant. She was stunned for a moment and then got angry. "Amelia! Whose child is it? I raised you, and now you're pregnant out of wedlock?"
Amelia took a deep breath and looked back at the guesthouse staff. "Glenn! Get them out of here. I don't know them!"
She clenched her fists tightly. For a moment, she really wanted to get married quickly. Maybe if she got married, she wouldn't have to be controlled by Caitlyn anymore.
Glenn Cole got angry when he heard this and came over with a hoe. "You fans, still coming here to cause trouble, get out of here."
Glenn thought Lucas and Caitlyn were still those extreme fans and scared them away.
Lucas hid behind Caitlyn in fear.
Caitlyn angrily said, "I'm telling you, Amelia, I'm your mother. What you're doing is illegal!"
Amelia walked back to her room, trembling all over, her face pale and sweating.
Probably due to them, Amelia's stomach hurt badly.
She lay on the bed, curling up her legs, tears uncontrollably streaming down.
Indeed, she was still not strong enough.
When hurt, she could only hide and cry.
She wanted someone to protect her.
She knew she needed to stand up for herself, that being strong was the only way to be invincible, but her personality seemed to be set.
For a moment, she even thought, if only Nolan hadn't left with Elaine.
If Nolan were here, would he protect her?
Amelia thouht she must be crazy to have such thoughts.
Restaurant.
Elaine looked at Nolan. "Tell me, why would you give up everything at the Cunningham Group for a woman?"
"I gave up control of the Cunningham Group, so to your dad, I'm no longer the best son-in-law candidate, right?" Nolan guessed correctly. After he stepped down, Elaine's father had already started considering Edward as a son-in-law.
Elaine didn't deny it. The three Cunningham brothers were all good candidates.
She could marry any of them, but Nolan's actions made her lose face.
"Is that girl really special?" Elaine was curious. "She's special enough to make you give up everything?"
"Yes, she's very special to me." Nolan nodded. "When we first met, she didn't know who I was and thought I was just a male escort."
Nolan rarely laughed out loud. "She said she would pay me three million dollars a month to keep me."
Elaine frowned at this boastful remark.
Damn the stench of love.
She never thought that at Nolan's age, he could still have such feelings. "That girl is much younger than you, and you don't feel ashamed?"
Nolan was taken aback. "I've made many mistakes and didn't cherish her properly before."
"Is that child yours?" Elaine asked curiously, gossiping.
"No." Nolan lowered his eyes. "She was once pregnant with my child, but I made her have an abortion. At that time, I thought I would never fall for her or have any ties with her, almost causing her to be infertile forever."
Elaine frowned. "Then you really are a bad man."
Nolan gave a self-deprecating smile. "I know what I did is hard to forgive, so I want to make it up to her, even if it means mutual torment."
Elaine propped her head on her hand. "If you had told me earlier that you were such an irresponsible scumbag, I wouldn't have wasted my time on you."
Nolan smiled apologetically. "Sorry for wasting your time."
Elaine looked away, feeling uncomfortable, her eyes red. She was, after all, from a good family, and she had been dumped. "Nolan, the rumors online about Amelia and Nathaniel weren't spread by me. Don't misunderstand."
"I know it wasn't you." Nolan nodded.
He wouldn't stand by and do nothing after Amelia was harmed.
He knew it wasn't Elaine.
"It was Nathaniel's previous agency. I've already had Ethan deal with it." Nolan said calmly.
Elaine was surprised. "Impressive, Ethan actually helped you handle it."
Nolan was also curious why Ethan suddenly became so obedient, but he still coughed. "Ethan listens to Jasmine a lot, and she calls the shots at home."
Elaine raised an eyebrow. "I have to say, Nolan, the conditions of your Cunningham family are very tempting. Since you don't plan to marry me, I might as well ask your brother Edward."
Nolan nodded. "Sure."
"If Edward also doesn't agree to the marriage, don't consider Edgar. His personality doesn't suit you." Nolan didn't have the heart to say Edgar was a fool.
Elaine was a bit angry. "Am I that bad?"
Nolan shook his head. "No, you're great, just the timing is wrong."
Elaine was somewhat appeased. She was excellent, just appeared at the wrong time.
This made her a bit proud. "Alright, since you're so good with words, I won't hold it against you."
"Miss Long." Nolan stood up, looking at Elaine's necklace. "Can I buy your necklace? Name your price."
Elaine looked at the necklace and raised an eyebrow. "This necklace?"
"I don't know what special meaning it has for Amelia, but she seems to want it very much." Nolan realized for the first time that whatever Amelia wanted, he wanted to help her get it.
Elaine squinted her eyes and smiled. "Alright."
Since she couldn't marry Nolan, she could ask for a favor. A favor from the Cunningham family was very valuable. "I'll give you the necklace, but you need to agree to three conditions. I haven't thought of them yet, but I'll tell you later."
Nolan frowned. This was not in line with a businessman's style.
"Don't worry, I won't ask for your life, and I won't violate public order and good morals. At most, it will be business-related." Elaine laughed.
Nolan nodded. "Okay."
