Chapter 700 Justin is Home
The police had the suspect and driver under control. The driver, intimidated, said little when the kidnappers called.
"This way." The driver led the police, deliberately giving wrong directions to buy time.
The police found a handkerchief that Justin had deliberately urinated on and dropped on the way to the demolition area.
"This kid is smart," a police officer whispered, kicking the driver, "You better not lie."
The driver had no choice but to lead the way.
In the small cabin, Justin wasn't afraid of the kidnappers; he knew that although they had kidnapped him, they wouldn't dare to kill him.
So Justin actively tried to buy time and distract them. "How long are we going to stay here? My uncle will worry about me; my mom will cry, so I need to go home soon."
The kidnappers exchanged glances and laughed. "You still think about going home? You won't be going home until you're an adult."
Justin panicked for a moment but quickly calmed down. "Why?"
He had to escape; he couldn't let his mom worry.
Mom would cry and be sad.
He didn't want to make his mom upset.
"Why? Because you're valuable." Justin was so likable and cute that even the kidnappers couldn't help but ruffle his hair.
Justin knew how to act obediently and show kindness to the more humane kidnapper. "I miss my mom."
Neil Allen didn't say anything but handed Justin a piece of bread.
"My mom is sick. She has depression. If I'm not around, she might commit suicide," Justin said, his eyes turning red and his voice choking.
Neil still didn't say anything.
"My grandma is also not in good health. I'm worried about them."
Another kidnapper spoke irritably, "Shut up. You're so noisy, worrying about others at a time like this."
Neil frowned. "Why so harsh? You must not have kids. I'd be happy if mine were half as sensible as him."
Justin seized the opportunity. "You have a kid? Is it a boy or a girl?"
"A boy, two years older than you."
Justin happily moved closer, hugging Neil's arm. "I like you a lot. Can I play with him?"
Neil was taken aback, then smiled and ruffled Justin's hair, feeling a bit guilty. "My son is sick, a rare disease."
Justin looked sad. "He will get better."
Another kidnapper snorted and walked out of the small room. "Watch him. If he tries to run, I'll break his legs."
Justin didn't dare to speak, trembling.
Neil comforted him. "Don't be afraid."
Justin looked up at Neil. "I miss home and my mom."
Neil looked troubled.
"Can you take me home? I can give you a lot of money," Justin said again. "My dad and the Raymond family have the best doctors. And they know doctors abroad too, they can help your son."
Neil was stunned, looking at Justin. "You."
But Neil thought Justin was just a kid.
"I can help you, trust me." Justin took off his pendant, a gift from his grandma to him and Joe. "This was a gift from my grandma, it should be worth millions of dollars. I'll give it to you to help your son, okay? Don't tell the other guy."
Actually, Justin knew the bad kidnapper hadn't gone far; he was just outside the door.
Neil was stunned, looking at Justin in shock. "This? For me?"
"I don't want your son to be sick, I want him to get better." Justin nodded sincerely.
Neil's eyes reddened, and he smiled.
Just as Neil was about to refuse, the other kidnapper rushed in and snatched the pendant from Justin. "This thing is worth millions of dollars?"
"My grandma got it at an auction abroad, a pair, one for me and one for my brother. She bought it for millions of dollars," Justin said seriously.
Neil frowned. "Give it back to me."
The kidnapper laughed. "Neil, you want to keep it all for yourself?"
"My son needs money for treatment." Neil stood up to grab it.
But the kidnapper, being selfish, had murderous intentions and wanted to keep it all for himself.
The two started fighting.
"Watch out!" Justin shouted.
Neil, to protect himself, had to fight back, knocking the man to the ground and running out with Justin.
Now, he was also at a dead end.
"Take me home. I can have my uncle protect you. Otherwise, they won't let you go. They are bad people, you don't want to be a bad person. You need to be with your son until he recovers. Otherwise, if you go to jail, he won't have a dad," Justin said, hugging Neil again. "When my mom went to jail, I cried every day."
Neil looked at Justin, gritting his teeth. "Let's go. I'll take you home!"
Just as Neil was leaving with Justin, the kidnapper woke up and called his superiors, who sent people over.
But just as he hung up, the police burst in.
"Where's the kid!"
The police pinned the kidnapper to the ground, not seeing Justin.
The kidnapper laughed. "Dead!"
A police officer punched him.
"Take him back, find the kid!"
At the Cunningham residence, Cordelia woke up, insisting on being discharged to go home and wait for Justin.
"Justin will be fine." Cordelia kept feeling guilty and blaming herself.
"Mom. It's not your fault." Jasmine hugged Cordelia. "Justin is smart, he'll be fine."
"The police have found the kidnappers, but they haven't seen Justin," Arnold said with Richard walking in anxiously, worried.
"Could something have happened to Justin?" Cordelia asked, crying.
Arnold frowned. "Some of the mercenaries are Sophia's people."
Richard nodded. "A mysterious person bribed Sophia's people to kidnap Justin, they call him 'Messiah'"
Jasmine bit her finger, calming down before speaking, "He's the one behind this."
The purpose of kidnapping Justin was to transfer the shares to Ian.
"Ian has already tried to contact 'Messiah', and Henry has held a press conference agreeing to transfer the shares to Ian. As long as 'Messiah' contacts Ian, Ian can negotiate. Justin is temporarily safe. Don't panic." Arnold comforted softly.
Everyone was actively trying to save Justin.
"Mom!"
Suddenly, Jasmine heard a voice calling "Mom."
She stood up abruptly, her eyes red, thinking she was hallucinating. "Mom, did I hear wrong?"
Cordelia was also stunned, quickly standing up. "Is it Justin?"
"Mom!" Justin called out.
Then, they saw a fierce-looking man with injuries carrying Justin into the living room.
Justin ran towards Jasmine and Cordelia. "Mom, I'm back!"
