Chapter 365 Serena Received a Critical Condition Notice

Nolan furrowed his brows, unsure of what Ethan was thinking.
Logically, with Ethan's intelligence, he should definitely avoid such risks, but he actually agreed.
Has he lost his mind?
Or has Ethan been with Jasmine for too long, causing him to become intellectually impaired?
"Nolan?" Seeing Nolan distracted, Annabelle called out, intentionally flipping her hair to show Nolan her swollen cheeks.
In reality, Jasmine's hits weren't that severe, but to make it seem like Annabelle was greatly harmed, she even slapped herself a few times.
"What happened to your face?" Nolan suddenly remembered that Jasmine had mentioned hitting Annabelle on the News Feed yesterday.
As soon as the topic of the face came up, Annabelle instantly lowered her head, her eyes turning red. "It's nothing, Nolan."
"What's going on?" Nolan furrowed his brows.
"Yesterday, Jasmine, she drank too much and then hit me," Annabelle said softly.
"Who?" Nolan was a bit shocked, Jasmine? Hitting someone?
To be honest, the combination of Jasmine and hitting someone seemed completely out of place.
Because Jasmine was the kind of person who wouldn't speak up when bullied.
Initiating a fight?
"Nolan, I don't know how I offended Jasmine. It was Jasmine who was trying to take my things from the beginning," Annabelle acted very innocently.
"I'll ask Jasmine about this tomorrow at work. If Jasmine hit someone for no reason, even Ethan can't protect her; she must apologize," Nolan furrowed his brows. Was Jasmine going crazy last night?
Even when going crazy, there should be limits.
Annabelle nodded.
"Have you been to the hospital to check your face?" Nolan still cared about Annabelle. After being adopted by others for so many years, Nolan still wanted to show more care for Annabelle.
But looking at Annabelle, he felt strangely distant.
He couldn't sympathize with Annabelle being hit.
Sometimes, Nolan would blame himself, feeling that it was unfair to Annabelle, but he really felt that something was off.
"Yes, I've been checked; there's no major issue; it's just hard to accept psychologically. Not only does Jasmine not apologize, but Ethan still defends Jasmine." Annabelle started crying.
Nolan furrowed his brows. "I'll handle this matter for you."
Indulging Jasmine like this, Ethan was bound to get into trouble sooner or later.
Picking up his phone, Nolan called Ethan.
"Nolan, what's up?" Ethan answered.
"About Jasmine hitting Annabelle, how do you explain that?" Nolan remained calm.
"Yes, she did hit her; ask Annabelle what she did to deserve it," Ethan threw the question back at Nolan. "Find out from Annabelle and then call me; I'm busy."
After speaking, Ethan hung up.
Jasmine's residence.
Ethan, who was busy in the kitchen frying small yellow croakers, was very busy.
It was precisely at this time that Nolan called him.
"Who's calling?" Ethan's phone kept ringing, and Jasmine, busy with wrapping bread, asked.
"It's nothing, a real estate sales call," Ethan casually replied.
Beside the dining table, Cordelia and Edward, under the guise of bringing the two children over, secretly came to eat together.
Cordelia suddenly remembered something. "Oh, Nolan said he's giving you a set of rooms. Have you chosen?"
Jasmine looked surprised. "Really giving them to me?"
Cordelia nodded seriously. "Of course, it's a real gift."
"Yes, he's paying for it himself; Nolan is rich and has nowhere else to spend his money," Edward nodded while playing with the two children.
"Well, I won't be polite then," Jasmine laughed foolishly.
She thought Nolan's gift would be worth around three million dollars at most; after all, with the three projects negotiated, the total bonus was only around one and a half million dollars.
Nolan, adding a bit more of his own money, should be able to raise three million dollars.
"Ethan, why are the small yellow croakers you fried black?" Edward went to the kitchen to tease Ethan, laughing.
Ethan quickly threw the blackened fish into the trash. "Shut up."
Edward closed the sliding door and asked in a low voice, "Did Jasmine really hit Annabelle?"
Ethan nodded with a smile. "She had to."
"Why the sudden toughness?" Edward worried that Jasmine had been severely bullied by Annabelle, prompting her to fight back.
"Annabelle is too bad." Ethan raised his eyebrows.

Cunningham Enterprises.
Nolan's face turned dark after the call was hung up.
No one had ever dared to disrespect him like this, especially not the current Ethan.
"Ethan," Annabelle pretended to be worried.
"Ethan now only listens to Jasmine completely; whatever I say is useless; he just doesn't listen."
"You go back and rest first; I will definitely find a way to deal with this matter for you." Nolan planned to confront Ethan.
Storming out of the office in anger, Nolan looked at his assistant. "Find out where Jasmine is staying now."
Ethan had indeed gone too far this time, Jasmine had hit someone and he was planning to cover it up? Did he really think the Cunningham family was easy to bully?
After all, Annabelle was Nolan's sister.
Jasmine's residence.
Cordelia and Jasmine were chatting while cooking.
Cordelia was too gentle, and Jasmine gradually lost her previous aloofness and guard. She felt a strange sense of closeness with Cordelia and wanted to get closer to her.
"Cooking isn't like this," Cordelia smiled and taught Jasmine. "My mother taught me for a long time back then, I resisted a lot, I said I didn't want to learn, why should I learn to cook, why shouldn't others cook for me, why should I cook for others."
Cordelia had always been a very proud girl.
"My mother said, I'm teaching you to cook because you can cook for yourself in the future; no one cooks better than what you cook yourself," Cordelia recalled her mother's words. "You need to be self-reliant and self-sufficient."
Jasmine looked at Cordelia, feeling warm inside. Her kind words made Jasmine inexplicably teary-eyed.
If Cordelia wasn't Jasmine's biological mother, then who could be? Would she love Jasmine?
Would she be sad about losing Jasmine?
Jasmine had seen Karen dote on Serena and witnessed Karen's kindness towards Serena.
At that time, Jasmine thought she deserved not to be liked by anyone.
There was a hurried knock on the door outside.
Justin and Joe glanced at each other. "Who's knocking?"
Joe looked at the video camera. "It's Nolan!"
Then, Joe happily opened the door for Nolan.
Nolan had a dark expression the whole way, and the first thing he did after entering was to look for Ethan. "Where's Ethan? Tell him to come out and see me!"
His momentum seemed like he was about to fight.
In the dining room, Cordelia glanced at the menacing Nolan and wondered why he had come.
Silverlight City, hospital.
Serena was once again taken to the emergency room and received a critical condition notice from the doctor.
Evan leaned against the wall, feeling a bit embarrassed, slowly sliding down to the ground.
"Serena, my Serena." Karen cried hoarsely, genuinely heartbroken for her daughter.
"Do you regret it?" Evan asked hoarsely.
Karen looked at Evan. "Regret what? What should I regret?"
"If we had listened to the doctor earlier, given Serena a kidney, if we hadn't indulged her, letting her become so arrogant! She wouldn't be in this situation today."
Evan was very self-blaming.
Besides self-blame, there was more guilt.
"This is probably retribution for all the wrongs we did to Jasmine!"
As soon as Evan finished speaking, Karen went crazy and slapped Evan several times in a row.
"Shut up!"
