Chapter 572: William Douglas Has a Will for Jasmine.

Lisa dragged her feet as she left, she couldn't help but throw one last look at Joe and Justin.

Daniel wasn't really a kid person. Sure, he was nice to Casey, but that didn't mean he'd be cool with Ethan's two kids.

Lisa took a few steps, then stopped and turned to Daniel. "Mom can call if she needs anything. I'm not planning to see Jordan. We're done, divorce is happening."

"Lisa, you've been acting weird lately," Daniel said, feeling a bit guilty.

"People change," Lisa muttered, looking down. She walked back to Joe and Justin. "You should head back."

She didn't want to go; it felt pointless.

But then, Claire called again.

"Mom, I don't plan to..."

"Lisa, if you wanted to cut ties with me,, don't come back! You know the Douglas family situation. If you can't help and just cause trouble, what's the point? The Taylor family is stable, and Daniel is fighting for shares. If you divorce now, they won't help him. Is that fair to him?"

Claire's voice was full of anger. "As his sister, you need to support your brother. You insisted on marrying Jordan back then. Now that the Taylor family is finally stable and on the rise, you want a divorce? I think you're crazy."

Lisa stood there, listening to Claire's rant.

"Come back right now. Or cut ties with me!" Claire demanded.

Lisa was silent for a long time, gripping her phone tightly. "Mom, ever since you brought me back to this family, I've had to be an accessory, living for Daniel. Why did you make me marry Jordan and even push me to get pregnant with his child? It was all because the Douglas Group and the Taylor family had a project to collaborate on!"

Lisa felt she had been holding back her feelings for too long and was finally about to explode.

But Claire hung up the phone.

Breathing heavily, Lisa was shaking with anger.

She felt she hadn't finished speaking.

"Auntie Lisa, are you going for a fight? Good luck, make sure you win." Joe cheered Lisa on.

Justin, clutching a raccoon plush toy, nodded. "Auntie Lisa, go ahead. We're not little kids anymore; we can take care of ourselves."

Lisa smiled, suddenly realizing she couldn't live a life defined by others anymore.

She didn't want to live her life as the Douglas family's heiress, Silverlight City's top socialite, the daughter-in-law of the Tylers, or Jordan's wife.

She was Lisa, and she needed to live her own life.

"Mom, you're the best," Casey said, looking at Lisa.

In a child's world, he didn't want their parents to divorce or leave him, but he simply wanted his mom to be happy.

Daniel's fingers stiffened as he held Casey, feeling guilty.

Lisa glanced at Daniel. "Daniel, Casey is your nephew. Take good care of him and his two friends."

Lisa deliberately reminded Daniel, making it clear that if anything happened to the two kids, their sibling relationship would be over.

Because Daniel was her brother, she trusted him.

But she hoped Daniel could live up to that trust.

If Daniel even tried to use his nephew, then he was truly beyond help.

Lisa went back and gave the tickets to Daniel.

Daniel held the tickets, holding Casey, and looked down at the two kids.

He didn't know if what he was doing was right or wrong. But he wanted to win.

"Hey Casey, you want some ice cream? There's a spot over there selling it. Grab three and share with your buddies, alright?" Daniel sent Casey off with some cash.

Casey nodded, all smiles, and headed off to get the ice cream.

Meanwhile, Joe and Justin were waiting in line, but they couldn't spot Casey anywhere.

"Where's Casey?" Joe asked, looking around.

"Casey went over there to get some sausages. You guys go find him; I'll hold our spot in line," Daniel said, pointing in the opposite direction where a sausage stand was.

They planned to use Justin and Joe to pressure Ethan.

Justin and Joe held hands and walked in that direction, whispering, "He's lying. Casey didn't go that way."

Justin looked at Joe. "You sure you wanna play along?"

Joe took off his watch and hid it in his pocket. "Be ready to call the cops. If someone tries to kidnap us, it's illegal. My watch can send our real-time location, and the police will find us fast."

Justin nodded, both worried and determined. "Alright, but follow my lead. If you don't, we won't let you join when our uncle plays games with us next time."

Joe pouted but followed Justin towards the sausage stand.

As they reached the bushes, a van pulled up, and several people jumped out, grabbed the kids, and drove off.

Daniel saw them being taken and clenched his fists tightly.

"Mom, they got the kids. They're just kids. Don't let anyone hurt them. Once Ethan agrees, we need to send them back," Daniel nervously reminded Claire.

"Got it," Claire said impatiently, hanging up the phone.

Clearly, she didn't care and wasn't planning to let Ethan's kids off easy.

Back when Jasmine saved William while at the Wilson family, William liked Jasmine a lot and secretly left a will for her. This was why Claire agreed to Daniel and Jasmine's engagement.

Now, Jasmine was married to Ethan and had two kids with him. These two kids were future threats.

Claire had spent a lot of effort trying to find out the contents of that will, but the person William hired was very reliable. No one could see it except Jasmine.

Claire and Howard didn't tell the Wilson family about the will, fearing they would use it as leverage and that Jasmine's status in the family would be too high for Daniel to control.

Now, she couldn't let anyone remember that will, especially at this critical time.

"Mom, what do you want from me?" Lisa stormed into the living room, clearly annoyed. "Mom, after all these years, what do you see me as? An accessory? You only kept me because Daniel and I are twins, right? If I had been born first, you would have ditched me, wouldn't you?"

Lisa looked around and saw only Claire in the living room, no Jordan.

Lisa frowned, eyeing Claire suspiciously. "Mom, didn't you say Jordan was here?"

"If I didn't say Jordan was here, would you have come back?" Claire sneered, thinking she knew her daughter well.

Lisa suddenly realized something and turned to leave, but Claire's bodyguards blocked her way.

Lisa looked back at Claire in shock. "Mom, have you lost it? You're using your daughter and grandson? Are you out of your mind?"
