Chapter 872 With a Stepmother Comes a Stepfather

Betty walked over in her slippers and baggy shorts, looking unkempt.

Ever since she didn't have to go to work, she had completely let herself go. She no longer wore those custom high-end clothes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, she just dressed however she felt comfortable.. She was even wearing Richard's T-shirt.

Now, the only thing she didn't wear of Richard's were flip-flops; she even wore his baggy shorts.

"Why are you crying?" Betty asked.

Casey was afraid of Betty. When he saw Betty coming, he immediately stopped crying, hiccuping in grievance. "I want pizza."

Betty frowned and looked at Beatrice. "What kind of person are you? Stealing a child's pizza? Can't afford food?"

Beatrice was already intimidated when she saw Betty. There were no security guards in the house, so she took a deep breath. "Betty, this is my house. Take these three kids and leave, or I'll call the police."

"You? Call the police? The police can't handle you; you need to call the animal protection agency." Betty walked over, picked up Casey, and disdainfully tossed him to Justin.

Justin quickly patted the dirt off Casey. "Aunt, she threw away Casey's puppy."

Betty frowned and looked at Beatrice. "Where's the dog?"

Beatrice was about to speak when Betty pointed at her. "You better think carefully before you speak. If the dog is gone, I'll make you the dog."

Beatrice was already angry, clenching her fists. "Betty, why are you so arrogant! You..."

Beatrice didn't dare say more. Everyone in the upper circles knew that Betty's current husband, Richard, was the sole heir of the Sanders family.

And Betty was known for her erratic behavior, what's more, it was rumored she had a certificate proving she was mentally ill. Who would dare provoke such a lunatic?

"This is my house. I threw the dog away. If you dare harm me, I'll call the police, you lunatic." Beatrice backed away in fear, distancing herself from Betty.

Casey cried even harder.

Betty took a deep breath. "You couldn't even spare a dog."

Beatrice tried to run, but she couldn't outrun Betty.

Betty threw a slipper, hitting Beatrice on the back of the head, causing her to trip and fall.

Then Betty grabbed her hair. "Where's the dog?"

"You're really a lunatic. I had the dog killed and thrown in the trash!" Beatrice said in fear.

Betty slammed Beatrice's head into the ground. "People like you need someone like me to set you straight."

"Betty, what right do you have to hit me? I'm calling the police." Beatrice continued to wail, but the nanny, seeing this, didn't dare intervene.

"Call the police? Don't you know I have a certificate proving I'm mentally ill? You've provoked me into a relapse. You killed my dog, so I have every right to take your life." Betty picked up a stone from the garden, acting as if she was going to smash Beatrice's head.

Beatrice cried out in fear, scrambling to her feet and running away, falling several times in her panic, and hiding in the living room.

Betty threw the stone away, clapped her hands, and looked at the three shocked children. "Let me tell you, I don't advocate violence, but if someone bullies you first, fight back. But be careful not to overdo it, understand?"

The three children nodded in unison.

After the shock wore off, Casey started crying again.

The nanny, hiding by the door, saw Beatrice hiding in fear and ran over. "Mr. Taylor, I hid the puppy for you. Come with me."

Casey stopped crying and followed the nanny to the backyard, where she had hidden the puppy behind a privacy wall.

Seeing Casey, the puppy wagged its tail excitedly.

Justin was also very happy. "A puppy, there's really a puppy."

Betty smiled at the nanny. "Thank you."

The nanny, also afraid of Betty, quickly waved her hand. "It's my duty. The new Mrs. Taylor doesn't like Mr. Casey Taylor, so..."

Betty sneered and walked ahead. "Casey, that bad woman doesn't like you. Have some self-respect. Your stepmother treats you poorly, and your dad will too. Since you have a stepmother, you can also get a stepfather. I'll find you a good one."

Casey, holding the puppy, followed Betty. "Will a new dad like me?"

"Of course, the man I find for you will be a hundred times better than your useless dad." Betty, hands in her pockets, led the three children out with confidence.

Just as they reached the door, Jordan came back.

Jordan saw Casey and called out, "Casey."

Casey looked at Jordan with hostility.

Jordan was confused. "Casey? What's wrong?"

"You are bad person, a liar. You said you would take good care of the puppy, so I trusted you with Pizza. But Dad didn't keep your word. That bad woman had Pizza killed and thrown away. You're a bad dad. I don't want you anymore. I want Aunt to find me a new dad, one a more better than you." Casey said angrily, remembering Betty's words perfectly.

Betty raised an eyebrow. Casey was standing up for himself.

Jordan looked angrily at Betty. "Betty, what nonsense are you filling Casey's head with? Don't corrupt my son."

"He will be truly corrupted by staying with you. With me, at least he'll be like a real man. With you? Learning to listen to his mom? Mr. Taylor." Betty bumped into Jordan hard as she passed him. "Jordan, you're still like a mama's boy, unable to make any decisions without listening to your mom. If you're not ashamed, I feel ashamed for you."

Jordan clenched his fists in anger but couldn't refute because Betty was right.

Casey, holding the puppy, followed Betty without looking back.

This time, Jordan had truly broken Casey's heart.

Starlight Park.

Betty, being efficient, found the three children troublesome and sent them to Raymond.

Raymond had been in a bad mood lately.

Betty suggested that to win over Lisa, he had to win over Casey first.

So, Raymond started to curry favor with Casey.

"Raymond, are you the new dad my Aunt found for me?" Casey asked innocently.

This question stunned Raymond.

Raymond smiled and gave Betty a thumbs up.

Betty smirked. "Raymond, you owe me a favor. Remember to send my daughter a nice gift for the holidays."

She waved her hand. "I'm leaving. Call Lisa later to pick up the three kids."

Raymond nodded with a smile. "Got it."

After Betty left, Raymond looked at the three children. "Let's go, I'll take you to have some fun."

Raymond, a busy man, actually took the time to play with the kids at the amusement park.

Casey was very happy and really thought Raymond was great.

"Casey, I think your new dad is pretty nice," Justin whispered. "He even secretly bought us popping candy. My dad never lets us have that."

"Yeah, Raymond is much better than your dad," Joe muttered.

Casey thought seriously and then saw Lisa coming to pick them up. "Mom, are you here to pick me and Dad up?"

Lisa was stunned, looking around. Was Jordan here too?

"Where's your dad?" Lisa asked.

Casey pointed at Raymond, who was coming back with fries. "Isn't that man? Aunt said he's my new dad."
