Chapter 276 Ethan really has thick skin.
"What are you two doing crouched here?" Betty came, seeing Wilson anxiously crouching on the ground, looking at Ethan, and smiling as she spoke. "Are you sharing some secret?"
Wilson, with red eyes, looked at Betty. "He has low blood sugar."
Betty rolled her eyes and kicked the door. "Richard, why did you close the door?"
Hearing Betty's arrival, Richard finally opened the door.
"Ethan has low blood sugar, can you get him something to eat? Why are you so stingy?" Betty said helplessly, casually entering the living room.
Only then did Richard realize something was wrong and hurried to bring Ethan inside and made him a Grilled Chicken Salad.
"Mr. Ethan. We only have Grilled Chicken Salad at home, please bear with it." Richard thoughtfully added some Fried Shrimp.
Ethan looked at the bowl of Grilled Chicken Salad and took a deep breath. Although he didn't really like it, for the sake of his health, he had to compromise and give in.
Trying Grilled Chicken Salad for the first time, Ethan was surprised to find that it tasted quite good.
Wilson hid in a corner, probably because she didn't trust Ethan, so she secretly watched him.
Watching him finish eating, she turned around and wanted to run back to her room.
Under Richard's urging gaze, Betty reached out a hand and stopped Wilson. "Little rabbit, you can't stay at home tonight. There's a big bad wolf at home, and it will eat you."
Wilson nervously looked at Betty.
Richard grabbed Betty in despair. "You need to be serious. It's a very serious matter."
Betty nodded. "Ethan has never lied from childhood to adulthood, and he doesn't bother to lie. I guarantee you that."
Ethan secretly threw a grateful look at Betty.
Betty spoke again. "But, about what happened six years ago, we can't easily forgive him! Wilson gave birth to a child all by herself, almost losing her life, and Ethan wasn't by her side. Although they were both victims, he wasn't there to protect her over the years."
Betty shielded Wilson, frowned, and glanced at Ethan. "Ethan, if you must ask who I would support, I would definitely side with Wilson. You did those terrible things, and you can't use 'I didn't know' to evade responsibility. You must make amends, compensate, and see how Wilson can forgive you."
Ethan stood up and walked to Wilson's side. "Will you come home with me? I'm sorry. I can spend the rest of my life making it up to you."
"No need." Wilson lowered her head, refusing to forgive Ethan.
"Will you come home with me first?" Ethan wanted to deceive her back and slowly make amends.
Wilson shook her head. "I won't go back with you."
"Do you really not want me anymore?" Ethan began to feign pity.
Wilson kept her head down, not looking up.
"Wilson, we're husband and wife. I'll agree to do anything you ask." Ethan held Wilson's hand, trying to coax her.
Wilson glanced at Ethan. "I'll go back and pack my things. I'll stay at a hotel."
Ethan nodded quickly. "Okay, if you don't want to see me, I'll arrange a hotel for you. When you forgive me, I'll come pick you up, alright?"
Wilson thought for a moment and nodded.
Ethan breathed a sigh of relief. Why was she being so obedient?
Before taking Wilson away, he gratefully looked at Richard.
Bellagio Hotel.
Ethan brought Wilson some necessities and came to the hotel.
Wilson entered the room, wanting Ethan to leave. "You can go now."
"Do you want me to leave?" Ethan hugged Wilson.
"Yes, I want to stay in a hotel alone," Wilson said angrily.
"You said you were going to go home and pack your things, am I not one of your valuables?" Ethan had no intention of leaving, shamelessly insisting on staying in the hotel with Wilson.
Wilson burst into tears. "You, you're a liar."
Ethan hugged Wilson tightly. "Wilson, you can think of me as a liar, but I can't sleep without you by my side. I haven't slept for a day and night, and I'm really tired."
Wilson had been struggling but slowly lowered his hands. "Ethan, can’t you just leave me alone?"
Ethan's body stiffened, and he took a deep breath. "Wilson."
"I'm not blaming you for what happened six years ago. You were also a victim, but I can't let go of everything I've experienced in the past six years, I'm sorry. Just leave me alone?" Wilson pleaded.
Ethan's eyes turned red, and he stood up straight. "Alright."
Ethan left the hotel, leaving Wilson alone to calm down.
"Mr. Ethan, Howard held a press conference and announced Daniel and Annabelle's engagement," Liam called Ethan.
In the car.
Ethan rubbed his temples with a headache, his voice low and filled with anger. "Daniel, why didn't you kill him that day?"
Liam felt the pressure from Mr. Ethan. "Mr. Ethan, have you heard about Serena being hit downstairs at our company?"
Ethan didn't say anything; he didn't care about Serena's well-being.
"I heard from the board of directors that Serena caused a scene in the conference room, saying she knew Howard and Claire killed your mother and that she had evidence to tell you. She was hit when she went downstairs. It must have been Howard's doing," Liam said through gritted teeth.
He was also very angry.
These annoying jerks.
Ethan frowned and sat up straight. "Is she dead?"
"Huh?" Liam reacted for a moment. "Oh, Serena was already in poor health. I heard that after being hit, it may not end well for her."
Ethan's voice was low. "Find the best medical team, don't let her die so easily."
"Alright, Mr. Ethan."
"Mr. Ethan, as soon as Daniel and Annabelle got engaged, they went to get their marriage license. They're really eager," Liam complained.
Ethan snorted. "They're not good people, they will definitely get what they deserve."
He was looking forward to seeing the fate of these people.
The people who had hurt Wilson over the past six years, he would make them pay for it one by one.
He won't let anyone off.
"Howard held a press conference today and kicked you out of the leadership position at Stellar Enterprises. You are no longer the CEO of Stellar Enterprises," Ethan was informed.
It seemed that Howard took action.
Ethan smirked.
He was quick to make a move.
"Mr. Ethan, what worries me is that he may go after your personal assets."
"I have already transferred all my assets to Justin and Wilson's names," Ethan had already prepared for this.
He was just waiting for Howard to make a move.
"Mr. Ethan… You… Did you gave everything to Wilson and Justin? How can you trust her so much? What if she and Justin run away? What will you do?" Liam was almost in tears, wondering what was wrong with Ethan.
How could he trust Wilson like this?
