Chapter 812 Where would Mark put the evidence?

The Hughes Group.

Betty flew to Muskow and was holding a family and board meeting.

On the screen, there was a live broadcast of Steven being kidnapped after leaving the airport.

This would be evidence to accuse Kavi in the future.

As long as Kavi dared to show up.

Everyone was on edge, watching the screen.

The micro camera was placed on Steven's ring. Kavi's men needed Steven's signature, so they wouldn't easily harm his hand.

"Have the police not found Mr. Hughes's location yet?" Someone asked anxiously.

"Don't worry, he won't die," Betty said calmly.

Over in Silverlight City, Ethan and the Cunningham family were protecting Indigo very well, and Kavi's people absolutely couldn't get to Indigo.

Since this was a desperate plan by Richard and Steven, they had to wait patiently.

However, Kavi was very cunning, and it would be hard to deceive him.

Hotel.

Back in the room, Lisa looked outside nervously. "These people are too brazen, directly targeting us."

Raymond, sitting on the sofa, chuckled. "What else? Wait until you find evidence to implicate him?"

"Are Richard and Steven okay?" Lisa asked worriedly.

Raymond shook his head. "They won't be in trouble for now. Steven is probably trying to stall Kavi, but the real key to his downfall lies in the evidence Mark left behind."

Steven used the camera to record Kavi kidnapping him. In Muskow, this could only temporarily trap Kavi.

Kavi had connections with many high-ranking people in Muskow, and they would protect him.

So, only by exposing the things Mark had could they make those people abandon Kavi.

"Let me think." Lisa sat on the bed, biting her finger, thinking carefully about where Mark might have hidden the evidence.

They had searched many private banks but hadn't found what they were looking for.

Where could it be?

Kavi's people must have searched many places too.

So far, no one hadn't found any evidence against Kavi.

"We need to find that evidence quickly, or Steven and Richard will always be in danger," Lisa said worriedly. "Do you think it's possible that the Muskow bank Mark mentioned was just an inheritance for me, and the real evidence isn't there?"

Raymond paused, looking at Lisa, not ruling out this possibility.

"But if he didn't put such important things in a bank vault, where would he put them?" Raymond found it hard to imagine.

Lisa bit her lip. "Is it possible that the most dangerous place is the safest? Could he have given it to Daniel?"

Raymond was puzzled. "Probably not. Carrying such things would easily bring disaster. Mark wouldn't harm Daniel like that, would he?"

"Kavi is very suspicious, and Mark knows him well. It's possible," Lisa said softly. "Don't alert anyone. First, find out where Daniel went."

Since Daniel left, they had rarely been in contact.

Daniel occasionally sent Lisa photos, mostly of plants. Lisa didn't ask where Daniel was, just hoping he was safe and free.

Raymond nodded. "I'll check."

Boston.

Daniel ran a small company, doing quite well within his capabilities.

"Mr. Douglas, someone wants to see you." He was busy organizing documents and data in his office when the receptionist said someone was there to see him.

"Who?" Daniel asked.

"She said her name is Jasmine."

The documents in Daniel's hand fell to the ground, and he stood up abruptly. "Let... let her come up."

Feeling nervous and uneasy, Daniel didn't know why Jasmine was suddenly looking for him.

Was Ethan treating her badly? Or had something happened?

He nervously clenched his hands, afraid Jasmine wasn't doing well.

But then he thought, maybe he was overthinking. How could Ethan treat Jasmine badly?

Standing awkwardly in front of his desk, Daniel waited quietly. In just a few minutes, he felt extremely tormented.

After so long, he didn't know what it would be like to see Jasmine again.

The office door opened, and Jasmine walked in.

To avoid attention, Jasmine came alone.

"Jasmine." Daniel was a bit nervous, awkwardly inviting her to sit and then clumsily pouring her water.

"Don't be busy," Jasmine said, her voice no longer cold as before.

It was clear she was very happy now, with light and laughter in her eyes.

Daniel, with his back to Jasmine, smiled weakly.

Someone had told him that loving someone was like tending flowers. If your flowers grew well and bloomed beautifully, it showed that the love made someone happy.

He had once personally ruined Jasmine, like breaking off a blooming flower

Everyone thought Jasmine would rot in the mud and never sprout again.

But Ethan had nurtured the dying Jasmine so well.

She bloomed even more brilliantly than before.

"I came to see you today because of Mark," Jasmine said softly. "This might disrupt your peaceful life."

Jasmine paused for a moment, then spoke again. "You can refuse."

Daniel paused, guessing a bit. "Go ahead."

If Jasmine needed his help, he would definitely help.

Whether out of guilt or something else.

"Mark had all the evidence against Kavi, the mastermind behind everything, and even had fatal evidence against some other people in Silverlight City. This is why Mark could hide so well all these years," Jasmine said, looking at Daniel. "But Mark is dead."

Daniel paused, looking at Jasmine.

Mark was dead?

"We searched all the private banks in Muskow but found nothing," Jasmine said, looking at Daniel. "Did Mark leave anything for you?"

Daniel thought for a moment, then shook his head. "Mark and I parted on bad terms. I didn't want to be manipulated by him anymore, so I left. He didn't give me anything."

Mark indeed hadn't left anything for Daniel.

"Think again?" Jasmine asked Daniel to think carefully.

"I..." Daniel rubbed his temples, thinking carefully. "He really didn't give me anything. I was resistant about the property he gave. If he really gave me something..."

"Mr. Douglas, your delivery is here." Outside, the assistant knocked on the door.

Daniel was puzzled. "Why did it take so long this time?"

He had ordered coffee an hour ago, and it was just now being delivered. The coffee shop was not far downstairs, usually taking only twenty minutes.

Jasmine looked at the coffee and suddenly stood up. "Don't drink it yet. There might be something wrong with the coffee."
