Chapter 698 the Person Behind Took Justin Away
"Daniel?" Jasmine sneered. "In what capacity is he returning to the Douglas Group?"
Jasmine didn't see Daniel as a threat.
Ben nodded. "Indeed, he's not Howard's son. So he has no inheritance rights, actually."
Jasmine stood up and looked at Ben. "What's Bradley been up to lately?"
"Owen met with Bradley yesterday, but Bradley was very cautious this time and went secretly." Although he was discovered, Bradley had deliberately disguised himself.
Jasmine frowned. "It seems he can't be trusted."
The company couldn't afford hidden dangers; she had to find a way to deal with Bradley first.
In hindsight, she shouldn't have kept Bradley around.
"How are the projects under Bradley progressing?" Jasmine asked, looking at Ben. "He must have left some evidence we can use against him, right?"
Ben took a deep breath. "Bradley is impeccable in his work. And so far, there haven't been any mistakes."
He really couldn't find any issues.
Jasmine rubbed her temples. "He holds Howard's shares. So we can't let our guard down."
Ben nodded. "So far, everything he's done is too perfect; it's hard to find any problems."
"Not finding problems and being perfect is the biggest problem." Jasmine knew Bradley was trying to win people over.
The people in the company were biased towards men, always thinking she, as the CEO, was inferior to a man.
Whether it was Daniel or Bradley, both had high support now.
Fortunately, Daniel wasn't a child of the Douglas family, so he wasn't very competitive. Even if he returned to his position, it would be hard for him to fight for shares.
But Bradley was different.
Bradley already had Howard's shares, so he had to be guarded against.
"Maybe Brandon can help? Brandon has always been in charge of Bradley's side." Ben reminded Jasmine.
Jasmine nodded. "We'll have to turn to Brandon."
For now, Bradley needed to be kept in check.
Owen had just had an accident, and Deborah hadn't yet managed to deal a heavy blow to the Douglas family.
Before Deborah and her associates could join forces against the Douglas family, Jasmine had to deal with internal issues first.
That meant controlling Bradley.
The head of the project department walked in, speaking nervously, "Ian and Deborah have teamed up. They have now covered a large area in the new energy sector, severely impacting the Douglas family."
The Douglas Group currently lacked strong persuasive power.
"There are rumors outside saying Mr. Douglas is dead. And you're just in it for the money, with no real ability. They say the Douglas Group won't last long under your leadership."
Now, this rumor had spread throughout the entire business circle.
Clearly, these people were deliberately using this to discredit Jasmine and the Douglas family.
Ian's choice to cooperate with Deborah from the Hawthorne Group at this time was to strengthen his own power and steal the Douglas family's partners.
Obviously, they were smart, teaming up to attack her.
Many of the Douglas Group's partners were there because of Ethan. If something really happened to Ethan, they would leave, and she couldn't keep them.
Taking a deep breath, Jasmine looked at Ben. "Get me in touch with Henry."
What Henry had been up to lately, and why he had yet to manage to take control from Ian.
In the Hawthorne Group, Ian came to see Deborah to discuss their cooperation.
"Ethan is already dead. Our cooperation will be a devastating blow to the Douglas Group," Deborah said with a smile. "You are very smart and know what to do."
Ian sneered. "Henry has been making significant moves in the company recently. I haven't gained Matthew's favor, and I don't have many shares. Competing with him is still difficult."
"When Matthew died, he left his shares to Justin." Deborah leaned back in her chair. "Ian, you can't even deal with a child?"
Ian's face darkened, and he warned Deborah. "I advise you not to target a child."
"Ian, I'm helping you. I don't want my partner to be powerless. If Henry takes back your power, our plan will fail. Remember who saved you and let you live; the Patrick family didn't. It was Messiah who saved you."
Deborah was warning Ian.
"I have my plan. I don't need you to play the good guy, and I certainly don't need to target a child," Ian said coldly, standing up to leave.
Deborah suddenly laughed. "It's too late. Messiah's plan is foolproof. You absolutely cannot lose. Justin's shares must end up in your hands."
Ian turned sharply, looking at Deborah. "What have you done to Justin?"
Deborah smiled. "Justin is a minor. His guardian has the right to manage his assets. As long as we prevent Justin from giving his shares to Henry, you'll at least be safe. Take the child away, and when he comes of age, the shares will return to you. Messiah is helping you."
Ian was losing control. "This is kidnapping!"
They were even doing such things now!
"He is doing this for your own good." Deborah stood up. "Ian, Henry cares so much about Jasmine and Justin. With Justin in our hands, he'll obediently give you the shares and leave SHC Group. He should agree to that."
"I don't need you making decisions for me." Ian slapped Deborah, leaning on the table and coughing. "I won't live until Justin comes of age, and I won't use a child to threaten Henry. Where is Justin?"
Deborah covered her face, angrily looking at Ian. "You'll never find him."
Ian knew talking more with Deborah was pointless and turned to find Justin.
"Ian! Don't be foolish. Messiah paved the path you have today. Don't ruin his big plans." Deborah warned Ian.
Ian didn't listen and quickly left. "Find out where they took Justin!"
At Capital Hospital, Cordelia was injured and still unconscious.
Several of her bodyguards and the driver were also seriously injured.
Joe had woken up with a bandage on his forehead, sitting on the hospital bed with red eyes. "Justin was taken."
"The bad guys wanted to take Justin."
Those bad guys were targeting Justin. To protect Cordelia and Joe, Justin went with them voluntarily.
"Madam was picking up the two kids from school. On the way back, they were targeted. A large group took the child in broad daylight," the bodyguard said guiltily as Richard arrived.
"Uncle Richard, save Justin. He went with the bad guys." Joe got out of bed and handed his watch to Richard. "Justin's watch has a tracker, but it's not moving. They must have found it."
When Jasmine arrived anxiously, Cordelia was still unconscious.
She had protected the children desperately and was injured by those people.
Arnold also arrived, furious upon hearing Cordelia was hurt.
"Lock down San Fransisco and find them," Arnold said in a low voice.
He didn't believe the other side had the ability to escape San Fransisco under the pursuit of the Sanders family, the Cunningham family, and the Douglas family.
