Chapter 83 Edward's Little Wife Meets Jasmine

Jessa, who had been feeling a bit unwell, suddenly felt a sense of superiority and greeted Hestia proudly. "Hestia, what a coincidence."

The other girls were still mesmerized by Edward's looks and hadn't snapped out of it yet. "Wow, he's so handsome."

Hestia was taken aback, not expecting to run into Jessa here. She forced a smile. "Hello."

"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Jessa raised her chin and leaned against her Mercedes, thinking she looked very charming, and smiled at Edward.

Men always liked women who make an impression, and Jessa believed her feminine charm was more stronger than Hestia's.

Edward remained expressionless and said nothing.

Hestia took the initiative to hold Edward's hand and explained calmly, "This is my husband, and this is my classmate."

Edward politely greeted them.

The girls looked disappointed, realizing Edward was Hestia's husband.

But then they thought, since he was Hestia's husband, they all seemed to feel hopeful again, as if they believed they were more attractive than Hestia.

"Let's go," Edward, sensing the unfriendly gazes from the women, held Hestia's hand and started to leave.

Jessa felt ignored and got angry. Did these men have no taste? Saul only had eyes for Hestia, and now Edward only had eyes for Hestia too. What was so special about Hestia?

"We're all classmates, and it's our first time meeting with your husband. How about your husband treats us to a meal? He wouldn't be that stingy, right?" Jessa said with a smile, deliberately getting closer to Edward. "Your husband is quite good-looking."

Edward, already tired from catching a flight back, just wanted to spend some alone time with Hestia. The sudden appearance of this group really annoyed him.

But he still maintained his gentlemanly demeanor in front of Hestia. "Since you're Hestia's classmates, feel free to spend as you like tonight. I'll cover the bill."

Hestia tugged at Edward, her eyes questioning if he was being foolish.

Such poor financial management.

Edward, scolded by Hestia, didn't dare to speak.

"Since we're all classmates, you didn't treat me to a meal when you found boyfriends. Why should my husband treat you? Don't use moral coercion," Hestia said matter-of-factly, directly refusing.

Jessa scoffed. "So stingy. The expenses here aren't low. You can't afford it, can you?"

"Exactly, this place is membership-only. Without a VIP guest, you can only eat downstairs. Jessa's ex-boyfriend is a VIP here. If Jessa uses his name, we can go to the second floor. The minimum spend for a private room is $1,300. Your husband can't afford it, can he?" One of the girls with Jessa rolled her eyes. "Driving a car worth tens of thousands of dollars and you are still brassy."

"We can afford it, but we don't want to spend it on you," Hestia said, pulling Edward to leave.

"Stop pretending. If you can't afford it, don't come to such a high-end place. Sitting at a table downstairs and eating casually is really embarrassing," Jessa's friend continued to mock.

"In your opinion, what is not embarrassing? Spending your ex-boyfriend's money, relying on men for support, engaging in ambiguous relationships, lacking effort and ambition, just preening instead of striving for improvement, and you find that not embarrassing? Your shared values are surprisingly aligned, truly birds of a feather flock together," Hestia retorted seriously.

Edward had never seen Hestia so angry before. She used to endure everything silently. When did she start to fight back?

Hestia herself felt irritable lately, probably because being married gave her confidence?

With Edward, Hestia felt she had a bit of support, no longer alone.

No matter how much grievance she suffered outside, coming home to see him cooking in the kitchen felt really warm.

"Hestia, stop pretending," Jessa sneered as she entered the restaurant and took out her ex-boyfriend's card. "We're all classmates. I'll give you a chance to go to the second floor. Let's see if your boyfriend is willing to take you there. Without me, you probably wouldn't even see what the second floor looks like."

The receptionist took Jessa's card and led her to the second floor with a smile.

Jessa, like a proud peacock, looked at Hestia and Edward with a show-off expression.

Edward found it amusing.

"Mr. Cunningham, your reserved room is ready. Please follow me," the restaurant manager came out to personally serve Edward and Hestia, leading them through the VIP passage.

Edward stopped and looked at Jessa, asking the manager, "What's the spending requirement for the observation deck on the top floor?"

The manager was stunned for a moment and quickly replied, "The minimum spend is over $100,000, plus drinks."

The top floor required ordering drinks, and the cheapest ones cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Jessa was taken aback.

"These ladies are my wife's friends. I heard they're quite wealthy and capable of spending. I can give them my reservation for the top floor observation deck for free. After all, they should be able to afford it," Edward said with a smile, looking at Jessa. "No need to thank Hestia too much. After all, not everyone gets to see the top floor view. Just tens of thousands of dollars, you should be able to afford it, right?"

Jessa instinctively looked at her friends, who were also panicking. They were all college students. How would they get tens of thousands of dollars to spend?

Now, they were the ones embarrassed.

Hestia was first shocked, then carefully tugged at Edward's fingers.

Edward still smiled. "Can't afford it?"

Jessa opened her mouth, angrily clenching her fists.

"In that case, forget it. It seems that even you, who rely on ex-boyfriends and inappropriate relationships haven't earned much money, as they are unwilling to spend tens of thousands of dollars on you." Edward shrugged and led Hestia into the top floor's exclusive elevator.

The observation elevator here was a feature, and the top floor had the most beautiful night view of Silverlight City.

Edward had prepared a strategy in advance; couples from wealthy families often lined up to take photos here. He didn't want to intimidate Hestia at first, but when he ran into Jessa and her group, he certainly had to save face for Hestia.

Hestia carefully tugged at Edward's fingers. "This place really has a minimum spend of tens of thousands of dollars? Let's leave quickly."

Gold wasn't even that expensive.

"Don't worry, the food isn't expensive, just like other places. We just need to order drinks, which cost tens of thousands of dollars. Our boss has drinks here, we can use his," Edward said, holding Hestia's hand with a smile.

Hestia breathed a sigh of relief, then almost shouted. "Boss? The president of the Cunningham Group?"

How could they use the boss's drinks?

"He's very nice. We can drink as we like." Edward took the opportunity to praise himself.

Hestia's impression of the Cunningham Group president improved. "A few days ago at the class reunion, the manager of the Bellagio Hotel was also arranged by you using Mr. Cunningham's connections, right? Don't do that next time, although it was really satisfying."

Hestia felt a bit happy.

Just as they stepped out of the elevator, Edward and Hestia bumped into Jasmine and Ethan.

Jasmine looked at Edward, then at the obedient girl holding his hand, and opened her mouth.

"Mr. Douglas!" Hestia excitedly looked at Ethan, tugging at Edward's hand, almost jumping with joy.

She had worked as a legal advisor for the Douglas Group with her mentor three years ago and had met Ethan. He was practically an idol!
