Everyone assumed the disruptive woman was Jasmine's mother.
"The chairman is waiting in his office..." Howard's assistant added, accompanying Ethan to the elevator.
Ethan made his way directly to the conference room where Howard awaited, anticipating Ethan's arrival.
"You're firing my personal assistant?" Ethan cut straight to the point upon entering.
"What, can't I fire a mere assistant?" Howard's response was curt, emphasizing the chaos within the company and questioning Ethan's actions.
Ethan maintained his composure, demanding an explanation for targeting his assistant.

No matter what his mother had done, just for what Daniel did to Jasmine, he deserved to die a million times over.

"Leave us," Howard also spoke, indicating for Daniel to go first.

"Don't justify your actions. I want to speak to Jasmine. I'm her mother, and I demand she quit her job. My health is failing, and she needs to come home and take care of me!" May shouted, persisting in her demands for Jasmine to return home.
Standing by his mother's side, Richard attempted to reason with her. "Mom, I'm giving you one last chance."
May dismissed Richard's warning with a snort, continuing her tantrum.

"I forgot to introduce myself," Erin declared. "I'm Richard's employer. He earns eighty thousand dollars monthly from me. His duty is to ensure my safety. My face is insured as part of his contract. If any harm befalls me in his presence, not only will the contract be voided, but he'll also owe me three million dollars in damages."
Erin raised three fingers, silencing May instantly, who looked at her and Richard in disbelief. "She's the generous employer you mentioned?"
Richard's demeanor turned grim. "Yes."
"This is all a misunderstanding, miss. I didn't intend to strike you. Do you want to retaliate?" May scrambled, recognizing the signs of wealth from her years as a nanny in affluent households.
