Chapter 349 Ethan Went to Beat up Connor in the Middle of the Night
The Cunningham Group.
When Nolan left the company, it was already half past two in the morning.
He couldn't go home, so he had to go to a hotel first.
Not wanting the driver to accompany him home so late, Nolan let the driver go back early to rest, and he drove to the hotel alone.
Just as he parked the car, someone was lying next to his car.
He frowned. There were really a lot of drunkards at this late hour.
"Why did you take so long to come?" The drunkard, with eyes barely open, mumbled, "You are so unprofessional."
He gave a cold glance at this 'drunkard,' who turned out to be a petite woman in high heels, not very tall, probably just over five feet, very slim, wearing a camisole dress with a very slender waist.
She had waist-length hair, quite delicate and cute, but she was drunk and didn't recognize people.
He glanced at the time and didn't want to get involved with the drunkard. "Where are your friends? Let them come pick you up."
"I'll give you 10 thousand dollars for the night. What else do you want? He actually betrayed me, so I'll find a male model too, betray him." She said in a daze. She hugged Nolan and started to touch him.
He was shocked, unable to push her away.
Late at night, was he being molested by a drunk woman?
The woman was very bold, even tiptoed to kiss him.
Before he could react, trying to push her away.
She vomited, vomited all over him.
He was furious.
He had never thought of killing someone before in his life, but this woman! She was dead!
Silverlight City Hospital.
Forced to share a small hospital bed with Jasmine, Ethan grumbled, "Can we sneak home? We can't really stretch out here."
"What do you want to do?" Jasmine and he faced each other, not sleeping even past two in the morning, just staring at each other.
He smiled helplessly. "I can't stretch my legs."
She rubbed his cheek. "Isn't it comforting to sleep together on a small bed?"
He nodded. "Yes."
She smiled again. "Ethan, why are you so clever?"
"Why are you saying that about me?" He was suddenly praised and felt a bit floaty.
"So quickly found me." She spoke softly.
He raised an eyebrow. "How do you want to reward me?"
She thought for a moment. "Then I'll reward you by divorcing you as soon as you return from Maple Grove."
He grumpily pressed her head against his chest. "You're getting worse. You're bullying me."
She chuckled, nestled in his arms, found a comfortable position, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
He couldn't sleep.
He was really scared today, very afraid.
Looking down at her in his arms, making sure she was sleeping soundly, he sighed in relief and carefully got up.
"Ethan, Annabelle did contact Connor, but I didn't find any conflicts between you and Connor." Outside the ward, Liam came, muttering softly, "There's a power struggle within Stellar Enterprises now. Daniel is incompetent, and the directors all have other ideas."
Ethan sarcastically said, "You keep playing the undercover there."
Liam looked at him resentfully. "Ethan, Daniel, and Annabelle and Carmen are both wary of me, deliberately bullying me. Look at how they sent me to the desert. How many degrees have I blackened."
"Get to the point." He didn't care if Liam had blackened or not. He just wanted to know how that bastard Connor wished to die.
"I really didn't find any conflicts between you and Connor. You two have been good friends since childhood, right? I asked Mitchell, and he said it's impossible unless she likes you, loves you, but can't have you." Liam teased.
Ethan looked at Liam strangely. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Liam felt a bit embarrassed. "Ethan, the Hawthorne Group and the Douglas family didn't have any conflicts either, except that when you were young, out of jealousy, you used to report to the teacher every day because Connor's grades were higher than yours, and you secretly tore up his homework. There's no conflict except that, and you even fought a few times for him. He doesn't appreciate it. Why would he harm you?"
Liam couldn't understand.
When it came to Connor, Liam’s first reaction was Ethan’s good friend.
Since childhood, Ethan had been aloof and did not easily get along with others. To Liam, it was purely accidental that someone with Mitchell's personality could get along well with Ethan.
But Connor was different. In Liam’s eyes, he was truly someone from the same world as Ethan.
It appeared that the robust were fated to form associations with the formidable.
The oppressive aura and aloofness that Connor exuded to her was the kind of person who could get along with Ethan.
"When you were in college, you were so close that you even slept together. How did things go wrong?" Liam scratched his head. "Could it be that he loves his niece, Olivia, and Olivia loves you? He's jealous to the point of madness, harboring dark emotions, wanting to retaliate against you. Is your relationship that chaotic?"
Ethan was almost speechless and angry at his words. "I asked you to find the truth, and you're telling me internet novels?"
Liam sighed. "I really didn't find anything."
"Then there's only one truth." Ethan narrowed his eyes. "I heard that their family all believe in Catholicism, and Catholics believe suicide is a sin, that it leads to hell. So he wants to die but can't commit suicide, so he wants me to help him find release."
He spoke almost through gritted teeth, very seriously.
Liam almost believed him.
"You stay here. If Jasmine wakes up, call me." Ethan couldn't sleep tonight, and he couldn't let Connor sleep either.
He thought, 'If you dare to scheme against Jasmine, I have to make you pay tonight. It couldn't just pass so easily.'
"Ethan!" Liam was frightened, grabbing his leg. "You're not really going to kill someone, are you?"
Ethan adjusted his tie, his smile cold.
Liam was scared stiff. "Calm down, calm down!"
"Get lost." He pulled Liam away.
Trembling, Liam quickly called Mitchell, but unfortunately, Mitchell didn't answer at this hour.
Liam looked at the ward door, then looked at him leaving with murderous intent, unable to go, so he had to call that troublemaker Tom.
At this time, Tom definitely wouldn't be asleep.
"Hello?" Sure enough, he was still partying on the other end of theline .
"Stop partying, sober up, and go find your cousin quickly; something's going to happen!" Tiam urged.
In Connor’s residence.
Connor, too, remained awake, seated by the French windows, gazing out at the nocturnal panorama.
"Connor, Jasmine is fine. I just checked on her, and she's already asleep," a hospital staff informed Connor over the phone.
Connor swirled his drink. "Good."
"But Mr. Douglas left in quite a rage," the doctor whispered.
Connor chuckled, knowing Ethan well enough to anticipate his imminent arrival.
