Chapter 256 Joe Boldly Refutes Annabelle

As soon as Fiona heard Ethan had arrived, she quickly stood up and ran out. Then she saw Ethan holding Wilson's hand, walking towards them. "Mom, wait for me," Joe, wearing overalls, ran towards them. Richard brought Joe with him since they were returning to the Cunningham Residence. "Mom, wait for me," Joe's small body was full of energy as he was instructed by Ethan to carry something.

So, everyone saw Ethan leading Wilson, with Wilson wearing high heels and a long dress, walking towards them as if they were models on a runway. Joe held two gifts that were almost as tall as himself, running and shouting, "Mom, wait for me."

"Would you like us to help you carry them?" the butler offered to take the gifts. "No, thank you. This is a gift from my mom to grandma, I want to bring it myself," Joe said seriously.

Wilson wanted to turn and wait for Joe, but he was stopped by Ethan. "Kids need exercise to grow tall," Ethan said.

Wilson wanted to laugh because it was Ethan who wanted Joe to call him dad, but Joe disagreed, so Ethan was unhappy.

"Ethan," Fiona stood at the door, looking at Ethan and Wilson, feeling a bit panicked.
Once upon a time, Fiona thought that no woman was worthy of standing next to a man like Ethan, not even herself.

But when he walked hand in hand with Wilson, Fiona actually felt that they were a perfect match.

Choking back tears, Fiona weakly smiled and said, "Are you here for the family banquet too?"

"Yes," Ethan was extremely cold towards any woman except Wilson.

But the way he looked at Wilson made others envious.

Fiona was a performing arts major and she knew that Ethan's gaze was not an act.

"You are so considerate," Nolan whispered to Wilson as Ethan and Wilson entered the living room.

Wilson ignored Nolan and nervously held Ethan's hand.

"Come, Wilson." Cordelia really liked Wilson and stood up, waving her hand with a smile. "Come sit next to me."

Wilson nodded and walked over awkwardly. Halfway there, he saw Annabelle sitting across from him and instantly felt nervous.

She was curious why Annabelle was here.

"Wilson, what a coincidence." Annabelle stood up, smiling as she walked over and shook Wilson's hand, seemingly very close. "Mom, we are good friends."

Wilson turned pale and instinctively wanted to withdraw his hand from Annabelle's.

Did Annabelle just say that Cordelia is her mom?

Could Annabelle be Cordelia's biological daughter?

Wilson had never heard of it before.

But many years ago, Wilson seemed to have heard that Annabelle might be adopted.

But she never imagined it would be this coincidental.

Wilson's fingers tingled, and in a place where others couldn't see, Annabelle deliberately squeezed Wilson's hand, as if warning him that if she offended her now, it would not end well.

Nervously, Wilson turned her head and looked at Ethan.

Ethan clearly noticed Annabelle's presence but didn't say anything.

"Are Annabelle and Wilson good friends?" Cordelia asked in surprise, clearly very happy.

"Not necessarily," Fiona couldn't stand Annabelle's hypocritical appearance. Annabelle was obviously putting on an act and even thought her acting skills were good.

"Let go, can't you see that she doesn't want to be close to you?" Fiona sat in her position on the couch and happened to see Annabelle pinching Wilson's palm. Originally, Fiona didn't want to meddle in other people's business, but she still stood up and walked over, directly pushing aside Annabelle and Wilson.

"Ah." Annabelle purposely didn't steady herself and fell onto the table, looking at Fiona with teary eyes. "Fiona, I know you're displeased with me, but Wilson and I are really good friends. If you don't believe it, you can ask her."

Fiona couldn't help but marvel at Annabelle's acting skills.

Did Annabelle want to smear Fiona's reputation?

"You guys are good friends?" Fiona looked at Wilson.

Annabelle hummed, believing that Wilson wouldn't dare to provoke her now.

Especially since Annabelle was now part of the Cunningham Family.

"I'm not familiar with her," Wilson shook her head.

"You see, she said she's not familiar with you!" Fiona proudly said.

"Fiona!" Nolan furrowed his brows and ran over to hold Fiona's hand. "Don't make a scene, Mom is still watching."

Nolan knew that Fiona was unhappy with Annabelle being found, but she couldn't show it so blatantly.

Nolan was the only one in the family who doted on Fiona, Cordelia may not show it, but she didn't really like Fiona.

Nolan was afraid that Fiona's behavior would make Cordelia even more displeased.

"Nolan." Fiona was stunned for a moment, not expecting Nolan to protect Annabelle.

In that instant, she felt unhappy, as if everything that was originally hers had suddenly belonged to someone else.

"She's helping me," Wilson glanced at Fiona as if sensing her helplessness and heartbreak.

Once upon a time, she was also cherished by Evan, but everything changed when Serena came back.

Evan was no longer her brother.

"Annabelle, stop pinching my hand." Wilson opened her palm proactively, with three nail marks left by Annabelle.

Ethan grabbed Wilson's hand and gently rubbed it, saying, "Annabelle, you better explain yourself."

Annabelle was dazed, looking a bit flustered as she looked at Ethan. She said, "Ethan, I didn't mean to, I just saw you all and I got too excited."

"No, you forcefully pinched my mom's hand, I saw it," Joe said angrily as he held a gift box in his hand.

Annabelle paused and lowered her head to look at Joe.

That's when she noticed a little boy standing beside them.
"Joe, this is none of your business," Nolan sighed and ruffled Joe's hair.

"Mom," Annabelle sensed the tension and walked over to Cordelia. "Who is this little kid?"

"He's my son!" Edgar, who was eating, raised his hand and said.

Annabelle felt a bit embarrassed. She knew Joe was Edgar's son, so she couldn't offend him.

"Grandma, this is a gift my mom prepared for you," Joe happily ran over and placed the gift next to Cordelia. "My mom spent a long time picking it out with care."

Joe was good at talking.

He made Cordelia very happy. "Joe."

Cordelia smiled and reached out to Wilson, saying, "Wilson, come."

Wilson walked over and sat next to Cordelia.

"Mom, did I not tell you earlier that the Douglas family agreed to the union with our family?" Nolan also walked over and sat opposite Cordelia.

Cordelia was stunned for a moment, looked up at Nolan, and said, "Ethan and Wilson-"

"Ethan said he would choose between Annabelle and Fiona," Nolan interrupted Cordelia.

After speaking, Nolan looked at Ethan and said, "Let me introduce to you, she is Annabelle, my sister, the real Ms. Cunningham."

Ethan looked at Annabelle and smiled, "Annabelle looks just like someone from the Harper Family. When did she become an adopted daughter of the Harper Family?"

Annabelle became nervous, and her palms became sweaty.
