Chapter 347 Annabelle Was Near Death

"Jasmine, give me some face. There are so many people outside." Ethan chuckled.

The doctor and the police officer also laughed.

They thought, 'The former president of Stellar Enterprises, a once prominent figure, actually sang off-key and not well? '

'People used to say that Ethan, such a talented person, was good at everything he did - fitness, sports, equestrianism, marksmanship - but why did God close that window for him?'

'Now it seems the answer has been found.'

'It's because he sings off-key.'

"He is here. He is here!"

The warehouse supervisor, trying to run away in the middle of the night, was caught.

Shaking, he took out the keys and opened the iron gate.

As the warehouse door swung open, Ethan dashed into the darkness from the light and embraced Jasmine tightly, who was seated behind it.
She sat on the ground, breathing heavily.

Feeling Ethan's heartbeat, she smiled.

Her eyes could see the light outside the door.

Even in the darkness, she seemed to feel the light.

Her redemption, Ethan, rushing into the darkness to embrace her at all costs.

"Jasmine," he choked, his voice trembling. "It's okay, I'm here."

She patted his back. "I'm fine. I just got locked up for a bit."

She comforted him, indicating she was fine.

But he knew how dangerous her situation was.

"Doctor!"

He kissed her on the forehead. "Just lie down and close your eyes."

She understood and gestured an OK sign to him.

This time, being locked in the warehouse was definitely not accidental.

She didn't need to guess who was behind it - it was Annabelle.

They were supposed to go to Maple Grove tomorrow, but Annabelle was now using every means possible to prevent her from going.

There were probably many of Annabelle's informants outside.

She had to act very seriously to catch Annabelle off guard.

"Jasmine!" Edward, Edgar, and Coco all arrived. Coco, looking pale, ran over to Jasmine.

"Coco, I'm fine."

Coco made a hushing gesture to Jasmine.

"Quick, something's wrong with her, doctor. Take her to the hospital for a check-up," Coco shouted for the doctor to take her away.

She obediently let Ethan carry her out, and the doctor took her away.

Once it was confirmed she was fine, Coco sighed in relief, covering her forehead with her hand, almost losing her balance.

She had been too anxious just now.

"Mom." Edward quickly supported Coco.

Coco's expression darkened as she looked at Nolan, who had arrived later. "Our company is in chaos right now! Is this how you manage things?"

Nolan, also in a hurry, looked at Edward with a heavy breath. "How's Jasmine?"

"She's unconscious, the doctor has taken her away, whether she'll wake up is still uncertain," Edward said solemnly.

Edgar opened his mouth but held back from revealing the true situation that she was fine.

Nolan immediately approached the warehouse supervisor with a strong sense of anger. "You better give me a reasonable explanation for this."

Outside, company supervisors, executives, and managers who had heard the news rushed over.

"Nolan, what's going on?"

"Investigate thoroughly!"

Nolan's voice was low.

"Check the surveillance from before closing. Someone deliberately hid her phone under a book in the upper right corner of Jasmine's desk, tricking her into coming down to the warehouse." Jasmine was taken to the hospital, and Ethan returned and spoke in a low voice.

"Whoever is intentionally harming Jasmine, I advise you to come forward now before I find out." Nolan's anger was heavy, creating a palpable pressure.

The project manager nervously clenched her hands, her breath trembling. She wanted to escape.

"No one willing to confess?" Nolan scanned the crowd.

"Check the surveillance and cooperate with the police investigation. This isn't a simple prank. This is attempted murder!" Ethan's cold gaze swept over everyone. "I advise you all to confess. Otherwise, I will pursue this until the end."

Coco glared at Nolan. "Don't go home tonight until this matter is cleared up; you're not coming home."

He rubbed his forehead, understanding the seriousness of the situation and not daring to delay. "Mom, I understand."

"When you left work, didn't you keep an eye on Jasmine?" She stomped her foot in anger. "You didn't even notice if Jasmine left or not?"

"Mom, she's not my girlfriend. I can't watch her every moment, can I?" He felt aggrieved.

"Jasmine is under severe stress. Staying alone in such an environment could cost her life. If she doesn't make it through, you'll never have peace of mind." Edward added insult to injury.

Edgar scratched his head. "Yeah, no peace of mind."

Amid a mix of guilt and anger, Nolan cooperated with the police investigation.

He thought, 'This incident is indeed excessive!'

'But I am also innocent.'

'Jasmine's accident is not something I want to see. Why is everyone blaming me as if I were the mastermind behind the accident?'

'I am truly wronged.'

Hospital.

Jasmine leaned on the hospital bed, swinging her feet.

Remaining composed and alert in the dark, Jasmine reached for the light switch in the ward, no longer as fearful of confined spaces.
Subconsciously, she believed Ethan was right outside. He was by her side.

The door to the ward opened, and Ethan walked in, alarmed, turning on the lights. "Jasmine."

She opened her arms to him, looking like she was about to cry.

He hurried over and embraced her. "It's alright, I'm here."

"It should be the project manager," she said softly.

"Yes, we've found her. She confessed it was just a prank. Someone deliberately wanted her to bully you a bit, never expecting it to cause such a serious accident." He patted her back. “Are you still afraid?"

"Not at all," she shook her head. "We'll go to Maple Grove as planned tomorrow, secretly."

Annabelle wanted them to fail in this cooperation.

Jasmine absolutely couldn't let her have her way.

"Rest for a day. The cooperation isn't that important." He shook his head, holding her face, his gaze intense. "Jasmine, let me tell you, in my eyes, no one and nothing is more important than you."

She sniffed, shaking her head. "If we give up on this project just like that, I'll truly be upset and lose sleep every day."

He sighed. "Are you really okay?"

"I'm perfectly fine." To show how healthy she was, she deliberately showed off the faint muscle lines on her slender arms.

He was amused by her, pulling her back into his embrace.

He thought, 'Where else could I find such a good wife?'

'Unfortunately, there are always some disgusting people who want to harm her.'

'I couldn't forgive that.'

'Annabelle, she's on her last legs...'
