Chapter 417 Evelina and Cordelia Came to Beat Up Sophia

Another bodyguard reached out to grab the villain, then covered his own nose and mouth with the towel. In no time, he passed out.

Evelina sneered. "You guys send him to the police station and let the cops investigate thoroughly. That's just too much."

Cordelia walked over, holding Joe's hand, looking quite upset. "Obviously, some people are getting desperate."

Cordelia thought it must be Sophia.

Jasmine's return to the Cunningham family and acquisition of the remaining shares from William was beyond Sophia's expectations.

Sophia, who had been scheming for decades, was left empty-handed. She surely wouldn't be satisfied with this outcome. Her recent silence and uncanny good behavior were unsettling.

Nothing good could come of it.

"Sophia?" Evelina asked coldly.

"Who else could it be?" Cordelia's face darkened.

"Then don't let her be happy either," Evelina gritted her teeth.

Cordelia raised an eyebrow. "Makes sense."

On the way back from the amusement park, Justin sat alert the whole time, watching out the car window.

This kid was very vigilant, worried that their car was being followed.

"Grandma, the car behind us has been following us the whole way. Three traffic lights, three turns, it's been with us. The chances of that being a coincidence are very low," Justin said seriously.

Cordelia was taken aback and looked back.

Evelina also smiled in surprise. "Justin is quite the little detective."

"Justin's uncle is amazing. He's a special forces soldier, and he taught Justin surveillance and counter-surveillance." Casey boasted about Justin wherever he went.

Joe, eating a lollipop, chuckled. "You missed one traffic light. That car has been following us since we left the amusement park."

Justin glanced at Joe. "No, the first traffic light doesn't count because there were sixteen cars waiting at that light."

Joe refused to concede. "Then tell me, how many people are in that car?"

Justin thought for a moment. " Should be a pair in the car."

Looking back, he could see both the passenger and driver seats were occupied.

"How can you be sure there's no one in the back?" Joe asked.

"Because those two people have already been taken to the police station," Justin said seriously.

Joe pouted. "Yeah, there were definitely two folks in the car. When you headed to the restroom, four of them were tailing us. Only a pair went in after you. Once those two got nabbed, the remaining pair outside didn't dare budge. "

Evelina and Cordelia exchanged incredulous looks.

These two kids were impressive and very smart.

Casey was utterly confused. He didn't understand a word and hadn't noticed anyone watching him.

Those people were taken away, and Casey had no idea what had happened.

If those people had targeted Casey, it would have been dangerous.

At Willian's residence.

Sophia was in a good mood, having reached an agreement and secured a chance to meet Arnold.

Humming a tune, she was about to enter when she saw a familiar figure standing outside the door.

Sophia was taken aback and looked around. "How did you find this place?"

The middle-aged woman sneered, looking at Sophia. "Your sister is in trouble. She owes our family a hundred thousand dollars and hasn't paid it back! I had no choice but to come to you."

That person was Richard's aunt, Samantha Roberts, the one who had forced Jasmine into marriage back then.

"If she owes you money, you shouldn't be coming to me," Sophia said, somewhat displeased.

"Sophia, do you think changing your name and identity means we won't recognize you?" Samantha said angrily, "I'm telling you, May owes us money, and you have to pay it back. She's your sister. If you don't pay, I'll spread the word about what you did with Guadalupe..."

Before Samantha could finish, Sophia rushed forward in a panic and covered her mouth, her anger palpable. "You better keep your mouth shut. If you cause me any trouble, I will deal with you."

"I'll drag you down with me if I die," Sophia threatened.

"Hand over the money first." Samantha sneered.

Sophia relented. "Give me your account number, and I'll transfer a hundred thousand dollars to you."

"A hundred thousand dollars? That's too little. She owes us for so many years; the interest alone is a hundred thousand. If you don't give me two hundred thousand, I..."

Sophia interrupted angrily, "Fine! I'll give it to you!"

Sophia gritted her teeth.

She feared that even with the two hundred thousand, Samantha wouldn't get a chance to spend it.

Samantha handed over the account number, sneered, and left.

Sophia's eyes darkened, and she clenched her fists.

Taking out her phone, Sophia made a call. "Keep an eye on the woman who just left my place. Make sure she disappears."

Only a few people knew her secret. With May dead and Samantha gone, no one could threaten her.

She let out a cold laugh, turned around, and entered the living room.

"So impressive." In the living room, Evelina lounged casually on the sofa, smiling as she asked.

Sophia was stunned to see the living room in complete disarray.

Evelina was clearly tired, having trashed Sophia and Willian's place, smashing everything.

"How did you get in here!" Sophia said angrily.

"Do you know what the door lock code is?" Evelina smiled, intending to let Sophia be unhappy. "The door lock code is Cordelia's birthday. Willian must not have told you."

Sophia was taken aback, her fingers clenching one by one, mocking, "Are you feeling self-righteous? It was just a coincidence that we were together on that day."

Evelina nodded. "You seem quite proud."

Being a mistress like Sophia was quite shameless.

"Get out of here right now, or I'll call the police," Sophia said angrily, "This is my home, and you're trespassing."

"Look at this person who doesn't understand the law, faking her education. What a joke! This house is under Willian's name, and all property under his name is marital property," Evelina said.

Evelina kicked the coffee table. "Do you understand what marital property means? You're living in Cordelia's house. We can smash our own house however we want!"

Evelina grabbed a baseball bat and swung it at Sophia. "For an intruder like you, I can hit you whenever I want."

Sophia was terrified, dodging in panic, but the bat had already struck her back, causing her to break out in a cold sweat from the pain.

Cordelia watched from the sofa.

She and Evelina were both very athletic in their youth, having practiced swimming, volleyball, and taekwondo.

Sophia was no match for Evelina.

Moreover, Evelina was a fitness freak, so taking Sophia down was a walk in the park.

Sophia screamed and dodged, trying to call Willian on her phone.

Evelina swung the bat, knocking the phone out of her hand.

"Evelina, resorted to violence is illegal!" Sophia screamed hysterically, curling up in a corner, looking very pathetic.

"When I talked to you about the law, you played dirty. Now that I'm playing dirty, do you want to talk about the law? You don't make the rules of society." Evelina sneered, raising the bat to continue hitting when the door opened.

Willian was taken aback, his face darkening as he looked at Evelina. "What are you doing?"
