Chapter 427 Arnold's Identity Exposed
Mr. Sanders, who had been knocked out and taken away, still hadn't woken up.
Arnold was tied to a pillar and he had a severe headache.
A bucket of ice water was splashed on him, waking him up. Arnold slowly opened his eyes.
It was an abandoned warehouse.
Staring at the man standing in front of him, Arnold spoke in a deep voice. "It's you."
That man, even if he turned to ashes, Arnold would recognize him. His name was Gregory Price, a mercenary from abroad.
Over twenty years ago on a cruise ship, he tried to kill Cordelia.
This man had a high fee for his mercenary services abroad, known for his perfect mission success rate.
The people he aimed to kill almost always ended up dead.
Cordelia must have been an exception.
"I didn't expect you to still be alive," Gregory sneered.
Back then on the cruise ship, both of them were injured and fell off the ship.
Gregory had always thought Guadalupe was dead. He didn't expect that after all these years, he would return to Cordelia's side.
"There are many things you didn't expect," Arnold raised his head, coldly staring at Gregory. "After all these years, you're still Willian and Sophia's lapdog."
Arnold wasn't a fool. He had just appeared in front of Willian and Sophia, and immediately something happened.
These people weren't targeting Cordelia, they were targeting him.
But targeting him, in another sense, was also targeting Cordelia.
Sophia had been too quiet all these years. She was after the shares, but now the shares she had worked so hard to plan for were taken by Jasmine. Of course, she was anxious.
Even if she wouldn't harm Cordelia today, after getting rid of him, Sophia would turn her attacks towards Cordelia.
"You know too much," Gregory smiled. He picked up a knife and walked towards Arnold. "The reason I waited for you to wake up is to let you die knowing why. Don't come back to haunt me after you're dead."
Arnold leaned against the pillar, coldly staring at Gregory. "I want to see Sophia."
Gregory sneered. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Of course, he couldn't reveal who hired him.
Arnold watched as Gregory approached with the knife, "Do you really think you can kill me?"
"You're still being stubborn in the face of death. Now you're under my control," Gregory gripped the knife tightly and stabbed towards Arnold's heart. "Don't worry, I won't let you die too painfully."
Suddenly, Arnold broke free from the ropes and kicked Gregory. Outside the warehouse, dozens of black cars stopped at the entrance, and nearly twenty bodyguards rushed in.
Gregory frowned and retreated cautiously with his men.
Arnold calmly sat on the chair, coldly staring at Gregory. "The old Guadalupe is long dead. Now, my name is Arnold Sanders."
The bodyguards rushed over to protect Arnold.
Derek, who was Arnold's assistant, hurriedly stepped forward and bowed. "Mr. Sanders, sorry, it was our mistake. We didn't realize you were kidnapped in time."
Arnold said nothing. He got up and followed Derek into the car.
Gregory was already shocked.
Was he Arnold?
He and his subordinates quickly got into their car and sped away.
"Mr. Sanders, should we stop them?" Derek asked.
"Stop them. I can't let him try to run me over again next time," Arnold's eyes hurt.
Derek quickly raised his hand.
The bodyguards' cars blocked the entrance, crashing into Gregory's car.
Then the bodyguards swarmed in and surrounded Gregory and his group.
Even though Gregory was a strong mercenary, he couldn't fight against more than twenty people alone.
"Guadalupe, if you have the guts, fight me one-on-one," Gregory was dragged down and pinned to the ground, still shouting at Arnold.
Arnold adjusted his suit. "You and I are not the same. A mercenary like you doesn't deserve it."
Back when Gregory fought him, he had mocked Arnold similarly, saying it was ridiculous for a bodyguard to have feelings for his employer.
It was Gregory's words that distracted Guadalupe during their fight, giving Gregory the chance to hurt him and knock him into the sea.
Now that he was Arnold, he wouldn't fight him one-on-one. He paid these bodyguards for a reason, not just to watch.
"Arnold, you really are Arnold." Gregory struggled hard.
Arnold laughed. "I've been looking for you for so many years, and you came to me on your own."
Evil deeds will eventually lead to one's own destruction. Even the gods couldn't stand Sophia's doing .
Gregory's crime of kidnapping was undeniable. Even if he didn't reveal Sophia, committing a crime in Silverlight City meant he wouldn't be out anytime soon.
Kidnapping was a serious crime.
Arnold felt very pleased about sending Gregory to prison. Gregory was likely to be hired by Sophia, and he must have done many bad things for her over the years.
For years, Arnold had been protecting Cordelia from the shadows, fearing that someone would continue to harm her.
By getting rid of Gregory, Sophia had one less killer, and she should be in inaction for a while.
At the Lakeshore Elegance.
Annabelle lay on the massage bed, her eyes covered with a warm compress, while a therapist massaged her shoulders and neck.
Sophia was also there with her eyes closed, letting the therapist massage her.
"Cordelia hasn't been quiet these years. That bodyguard by her side, named Guadalupe, their relationship isn't simple. If we can find evidence of Cordelia's infidelity during her marriage, it will be useful in the future," Sophia wanted to first gather evidence of Cordelia's infidelity.
This would ensure that when Willian fought for Cordelia's inheritance in the future, her presence wouldn't be a problem.
At least both sides would be at fault.
"Bodyguard?" Annabelle asked. "Which bodyguard are you talking about? Cordelia didn't bring a bodyguard."
"The man sat next to her at the auction," Sophia sneered, feeling only anger when mentioning Guadalupe.
Back then, if it weren't for family reasons, she wouldn't have been with a poor man like Guadalupe.
He couldn't even support himself, let alone her. It was laughable and delusional.
"But it doesn't matter, Guadalupe will never be a threat again," Sophia said calmly.
"At the charity dinner tonight, the man sitting next to Cordelia was Arnold," Annabelle's voice stopped abruptly, and she sat up suddenly, looking at Sophia.
Sophia was also stunned. She got up slowly and signaled the therapists to leave.
Once they were gone, Sophia spoke in a deep voice. "What did you say?"
Annabelle gasped.
"What did you do to that man?"
Sophia sneered, "I had someone to kill him."
At that moment, Annabelle's phone rang.
It was Claire calling.
Claire yelled, "Where did you go? You spent a million dollars on something useless. Are you crazy? Get back here!"
Annabelle sneered, knowing Claire would go mad. "You don't understand, that was Arnold's donation."
"Arnold was kidnapped!" Claire told Annabelle to come back quickly.
The Douglas family needed to make a good impression at this time.
Annabelle hung up the phone in shock and looked at Sophia. "What did you just say?"
"I had someone kidnap him." Sophia replied calmly.
