Chapter 350 Ethan's Silly Cousin

Ethan parked the car downstairs and prepared to go upstairs.

Connor lived in the top luxury residential area in the center of Silverlight City, with a large flat of eight thousand square feet.

The higher the floor, the more expensive the price.

The top floor only had two units, a place only top tycoons could afford.

Connor was one of the residents on the top floor. His financial strength was evident.

"Sir, you can't enter without access recognition," the security guard stopped Ethan.

This was a top luxury residential area, and of course, casual entry was not allowed..

"Sir, you are not the owner here. You need the owner's permission," the security guard refused to let him in.

Ethan glanced at the security guard and spoke in a deep voice, "I am the owner of the top floor."

The security guard gaped, stunned. He knew only Connor owned the top floor, and he'd never laid eyes on Ethan before.

He quickly checked with another security guard, and indeed, Ethan was the owner of the top floor. Everything matched.

"Sorry, sorry, sir, please come this way," the security guard quickly let Ethan in, escorted him to the lobby, and personally went to help him press the elevator.

Ethan frowned and checked at the time, worried that Jasmine might wake up in the middle of the night and not find him, so he needed to act swiftly.

This top-tier luxury riverside mansion, designed by Ethan's mother, reserved a suite on the top floor for Ethan as his future marital home when it was originally constructed.

Before meeting Jasmine, he had left this suite untouched, as no woman had ever made him consider marriage except Jasmine.

Now, it was time to decorate according to her preferences.

He could move in with her, Justin, and the little guy.

But the condition was that Connor, the bastard, had to move out first.

Exiting the elevator, he went to knock on Connor's door.

Connor didn't open the door.

He sneered, entered the password on the fingerprint lock directly, the first time it showed "Incorrect password", and the door opened on the second attempt.

He knew Connor well; Connor had been using the same password since school.

On the living room sofa, Connor glanced at him. "By doing this, I can sue you for trespassing."

Ethan loosened his tie, took off his suit, and threw it aside.

He didn't give Connor a chance to speak; he just went straight for a punch.

Connor wasn't as impulsive and brutal as Ethan; he had been polite since childhood, but he couldn't let Ethan hit him either.

They fought for a while, then sat on the ground, leaning against the sofa. "Ethan, if I call the police now, you'll have to stay in for a few days."

Connor pointed to the camera in the living room.

Ethan frowned; he had indeed been too impulsive, too reckless.

But Connor had calculated with Jasmine, so recklessness was nothing.

"Jasmine is my wife. Do you know you almost killed her in the warehouse?" Ethan growled softly.

Connor wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, unbuttoned his shirt a bit, and casually leaned back on the sofa, smiling lazily. "You two are about to divorce, right?"

Ethan frowned, watching Connor warily. "What are you going to do with all your free time? If you have any dissatisfaction with me, say it directly; don't scheme behind my back!"

He considered Connor a friend, and being calculated by a friend didn't feel good.

But after experiencing so much, he wasn't too shaken, except when it came to Connor using Jasmine and hurting her; that was intolerable.

"Are you dissatisfied?" Connor sat up straight, his long legs casually sprawled. "I have too many dissatisfactions with you. Do you want me to list them one by one? You're arrogant, you think you're above everyone else, you're ignorant, indifferent, you make mistakes and never repent, you're self-righteous!"

Ethan frowned. What had he done? "Be clearer with your words."

"Figure it out yourself." Connor deliberately made Ethan uncomfortable.

Ethan clenched his fists, ready to hit him.

"Connor, I warn you, if you lay a hand on Jasmine again, I won't let you off easily."

Ethan stood up, supporting himself on the sofa, and shook the blood off his hand, which was from the punch he had just landed on the floor.

He had come to warn face to face this time, thinking of the years of brotherhood they had shared.

Next time, he wouldn't come to see Connor; he would directly use his means to threaten the Hawthornes.

"Ethan, is a woman so important to you that you'd give up even a friend for her?" Connor asked as he leaned back on the sofa.

"If you were really my friend, you wouldn't make things difficult for my woman." Ethan tossed his tie, which was wrapped around his hand, into the trash can, picked up his suit jacket, and walked out.

As Ethan left, Connor took a sharp breath and touched his mouth.

The bastard was really being ruthless.

Standing up from the sofa, Connor walked into the bathroom and looked at his swollen cheek and mouth in the mirror.

Connor thought, 'He is quite ruthless.'

'If I hadn't been afraid of he getting injured, I wouldn't have held back.'

Turning on the cold water, Connor washed his face.

He thought, 'Tomorrow, Ethan and Jasmine should be going to Maple Grove.'

'Annabelle seemed to be determined to secure the Maple Grove project, and she would go after Jasmine.'

Suddenly, his phone rang.

It was past three o'clock in the morning, and the caller was Annabelle.

She couldn't sleep due to excitement tonight.

"Hello?" his voice was cold.

"Connor, you're still awake." Her voice was full of allure.

"The night is long, especially after seeing you. I find it even harder to sleep." Connor’s voice was deep and full of magnetism.

Annabelle was a normal woman; her husband refused to be intimate with her, and now she had someone like Connor pursuing her. She must have felt a flutter in her heart.

"So, are you thinking about me?"

"Otherwise?" He walked out of the bathroom and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the river view of Silverlight City.

"You're right. Jasmine is indeed afraid of the dark and enclosed spaces." She chuckled. "Connor, you have helped me so much; how should I repay you ?"

"I believe you still have many ways you need me." He said meaningfully.

"I'll be on a business trip to Maple Grove for a few days; you should wait for me to come back." Annabelle flirted openly.

"Of course," he squinted.

After hanging up, he sat in a chair, feeling a pain in his shoulders. He rubbed his shoulders; it seemed he had been lacking exercise lately and needed to work on his combat skills.

Downstairs.

Tom was worried about Connor and rush over, only to be stopped by the security guard.

"Why are you stopping me?" Tom was angry and wanted to curse.

"Sorry, it's our duty."

Tom scratched his head, about to call the police, then saw Ethan coming out of the elevator.

"Ethan, why didn't you call me when you were fighting?" He rushed over anxiously, looking at Ethan, relieved to see that he was only hurt in his hands.

"Should I lend you a loudspeaker to shout?" Ethan glanced at Tom disdainfully. "What are you doing here? Did Liam send you?"

"He said you were going to kill someone." Tom explained..

Ethan took a sharp breath and turned to look at the several security guards who were about to call the police.

"Shut up."

Tom nodded. "As long as you're okay, right? Your hand isn't hurt, is it?"

"I'm your cousin, and we get along pretty well, right?" Ethan put his hand on Tom’s shoulder, thinking, 'He comes at the right time.'

"Here, the top floor, the west unit, my house, the password is 887655. You've had a lot to drink; don't go back tonight. Go up, sleep there, and don't leave no matter who tries to chase you away."
