Chapter 840 Ethan Actively Adds Hestia on Facebook

The four employees in the same group were all in low spirits. No one spoke up, it was obvious that they were unhappy.

Hestia felt a bit helpless and explained, "I'm sorry, everyone. I didn't mean to take the credit. That loophole was indeed very hidden, I only noticed it after looking through it several times before telling Marlon. I pointed it out in front of everyone to avoid any misunderstandings and to save time. I'm just an intern, so the credit doesn't belong to me. Please don't misunderstand."

"Hestia is young and ambitious. She wants to stay, which is understandable. She's in a survival phase and has ambitions. Don't hold her back from getting credit," a colleague said sarcastically.

Hestia felt a bit wronged, but she didn't know the right way to handle such situations in the future.

She was afraid the company would suffer losses, so she raised the issue in time, but it would damage her relationships with colleagues. After all, she was an intern with little work experience, and her mentor didn't teach her about these social intricacies.

With red-rimmed eyes, Hestia lowered her head. "I'm sorry, everyone. I really didn't mean it. I'll explain it to Marlon. Everyone has worked hard."

"Forget it, the more you try to cover it up, the more ridiculous it is," Primrose snorted. Seeing everyone starting to ostracize Hestia, she was very satisfied. This was the trap she had set for Hestia.

Once Hestia had offended almost everyone, Primrose would make her move.

After all, the HR department already knew about Hestia's early marriage, and they would definitely take action.

Hestia didn't know what else she could say to mend her relationships with her colleagues. She turned around and stopped talking.

In everyday work, Primrose was the most opportunistic, always eager to take credit. When the team achieved something, she claimed the success as her own. However, no one dared to sarcastically confront her because everyone knew that Primrose's family was wealthy and influential.

So, whether in the workplace or society, bullying the weak and fearing the strong, and being opportunistic, were common.

Indeed, having strong personal abilities or good connections was the key.

Feeling a bit down, Hestia looked at her computer screen. Her good mood from meeting her idol Ethan yesterday was ruined.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

Hestia picked it up and glanced at it, almost standing up in excitement.

Was this a scam? Ethan? Her idol actually added her on Facebook?

Another Facebook friend request came in, this time from Jasmine.

Due to the business card she handed out yesterday, and Ethan actually added her on Facebook. What a stroke of luck!

Hestia was so excited that she forgot her earlier sadness and took a while to calm down before accepting the two Facebook friend requests.

Worried it might be a scam, Hestia first checked Ethan's News Feed. It was a large display of affection, with daily posts about Jasmine and kids, giving her a strong sense of security.

What a good man.

Hestia admired Ethan even more.

Scrolling down for a while, Hestia noticed that Ethan's earlier News Feed had no posts, indicating he wasn't someone who liked to post. But ever since he had Jasmine and kids, his News Feed became his territory to declare his sovereignty.

He seemed to want to label himself as Jasmine's husband on his forehead, always bringing Jasmine wherever he went. When he occasionally traveled for work and couldn't bring Jasmine, he would post updates about his location.

Hestia happily looked at the Ethan's News Feed and then opened Jasmine's News Feed.

Jasmine's News Feed was much cleaner, posting every three or four days, sometimes once or twice a month, about the kids, sunrises, sunsets, the beach, and shadows, but never about Ethan.

Hestia found it amusing and envied their married life.

It was clear that the two were very much in love, and the family dynamics were obvious. Ethan was the one who listened to Jasmine at home.

Out of courtesy, Hestia first sent a message to Jasmine: [Hello, Mrs. Douglas.]

Then she sent a message to Ethan: [Hello, Mr. Douglas.]Jasmine seemed to be by her phone and quickly replied with an excited emoji: [Hello, beautiful girl.]

Hestia blushed a bit. Jasmine was so gentle and easy to get along with.

Ethan's reply was slower and more composed: [Hello, feel free to contact me on Facebook if you need anything.]

He initially typed "Hello, sister-in-law," but fearing Edward's reaction, he changed it to "Hello."

Hestia let out an excited scream, realizing she was still at the company, and carefully lowered her head.

Primrose saw Hestia sitting there excitedly and was very displeased. "What are you yelling about? You betrayed everyone and still want to escape? You need to give an explanation for this."

Hestia took a deep breath and looked back at Primrose. "I explained."

"Does explaining help? Everyone is watching," Primrose was clearly targeting Hestia, and everyone knew it.

But they didn't dare to offend Primrose. Those with a conscience remained silent, while those without one echoed Primrose. "Being too ambitious at a young age is not a good thing. Being eager for quick success can backfire."

Hestia didn't speak, clenching her fingers.

Outside, Edward came to the legal department and happened to hear the employees questioning Hestia.

He felt a bit sorry for Hestia, but this was a necessary part of her workplace experience, so he secretly sent her a message: [Honey, what are you doing?]

Hestia sent a sad emoji and texted: [I just made a mistake. I found a loophole in the project contract and told Marlon in front of everyone. Now everyone is blaming me for taking credit.]

Edward asked: [Did you explain? In an emergency, handling it this way isn't wrong. If there's enough time, you can handle it secretly next time.]

Workplace emotional intelligence was also a subject that everyone must take seriously.

Hestia replied: [I explained, but they didn't listen.]

Edward: [Then just admit it openly. This isn't called taking credit, it's called claiming credit.]

Because it was indeed Hestia's credit.

"Hestia, you're already married and pretending to be single, which is outrageous enough. Now you want to disregard everyone's interests for your own benefit." Primrose still wouldn't let Hestia go.

Hestia sighed. Since explaining didn't work, she decided not to explain anymore. "Fine, even if I'm eager for quick success, the project was completed by everyone working overtime together, and the credit belongs to all of us! I discovered a loophole by chance, and reporting it urgently when time was tight is within the company's regulations. Is there a problem?"

Since they thought she was taking credit, then so be it.

"Admitted?" Primrose sneered, looking at everyone. "See, she admitted it."

"Half a month ago, the Star Ocean procurement project was a collaborative effort. I found a problem and reminded everyone. I considered it everyone's credit. But what about you? Didn't you tell Marlon that you discovered the problem?" Hestia questioned Primrose. "The Cunningham Group isn't your family's. Why can you do this, but we can't?"

Primrose's face turned a bit ugly with anger, glaring at Hestia. "Is the Cunningham Group your family's? You don't have the qualifications to claim credit! Try to stay first!"

A colleague next to Hestia pulled her aside and whispered, "Primrose's dad is a partner of the company, and there's talk of a potential marriage alliance with the Cunningham family. Maybe the Cunningham Group will really become their family's. Just bear with it."
