Chapter 868 Jordan Wants to Remarry Lisa

Lyanna reached out to take the business card from Jasmine and got out of the car.

Standing by the roadside, Lyanna shivered.

She still didn't trust Jasmine, so she couldn't tell the whole truth.

Rhett was notorious in the circle; those who truly knew him were aware of what a pervert he was. He liked to take out his frustrations on women, even Lyanna wasn't spared. He was a beast.

In Edgar's car.

Jasmine leaned back in the rear seat, looking at the messages on her phone. "Ethan had someone investigate Rhett. Guess what kind of person he is."

"A scumbag," Edgar said with a frown.

"Yes," Jasmine frowned, her face darkening. "Three years ago, at that cruise party, a woman died because Rhett forced and beat her to death, but he used money to settle it, and the woman's family didn't pursue it."

He was a pervert. In this circle, he was known for his twisted ways; he took pleasure in abusing women, using various methods while assaulting them.

Jasmine was right; he wasn't just violent, he was an absolute scumbag.

"What about Avery..." Edgar's face instantly darkened. He knew exactly which circle Jasmine was talking about; he had people like that around him too, a bunch of lunatics.

Fortunately, Avery was taken away for investigation after getting the marriage certificate, sparing her from his torment.

"But with Avery's personality, it's hard to say who would be beaten," Jasmine rubbed her temples.

Edgar coughed lightly. "Indeed."

Edgar still remembered vividly when Avery beat up that cheating, abusive man.

Avery was definitely the nemesis of these perverts.

It's hard to say whether Avery was lucky to avoid Rhett's torment by going to jail, or if Rhett was temporarily safe.

"I had a lawyer visit Avery, but she refused to see me," Edgar said softly.

"Give it some time. She must be very upset now, being dragged into this by her own father." Jasmine sighed.

No wonder Betty said Avery's personality wasn't innate.

If she didn't have an aggressive side, she would have been dead long ago.

Survival of the fittest, roses without thorns would go extinct.

Muskow, hospital.

Lisa woke up, but her neck couldn't move, so she could only lie in bed, looking at Raymond with resentment.

Raymond still won't talk to her. He took care of her and fed her, but he just won't speak to her.

Lisa was impatient; she never expected Raymond to be so stubborn. It's been so many days, and he still didn't talked to her.

She had tried everything, but nothing worked.

Raymond was showing Lisa through his actions that he was very angry.

"Raymond, talk to me. I know I was wrong, I really do."

No matter what Lisa said, Raymond remained silent.

But he would still take care of things.

He poured some water, checked the temperature, and placed the straw next to Lisa.

Lisa smiled and acted coy. "Raymond, I really know I was wrong. Please forgive me this once."

But Raymond still ignored her.

Lisa had to use her trump card. "Jordan contacted me today."

Sure enough, Raymond's gaze instantly fell on Lisa's face, his expression even darker. "What did he want?"

"He said he and his mom miss Casey and want to take Casey out, and asked if I had time to join them," Lisa held back her laughter. Finally, he was willing to talk?

"Didn't he remarry? What's he contacting you for?" Raymond was very angry.

Jordan had remarried shortly after divorcing Lisa, marrying a well-off lady from Silverlight City.

Jordan was too obedient to his mother; she told him to marry, and he did. But after marriage, he realized their personalities didn't match.

Now, he was thinking about how good Lisa was again, trying to contact her.

"Who knows," Lisa said softly.

When Jordan remarried, she was heartbroken for a long time. She had spent her entire youth loving Jordan, going so far as to resort to any means, but in the end, she didn't achieve a good outcome.

Now, she was surprisingly at peace, not sad at all.

It seemed like her ending with Jordan had been predetermined.

"What are you thinking about? Have some backbone," Raymond scolded Lisa angrily.

Lisa looked at Raymond. "I'm not the one who's angry; it's clearly you who's been angry all this time. You're the one who's been ignoring me."

Raymond sat beside her. "Are you hungry?"

He couldn't let her go hungry.

"I've gained weight," Lisa muttered softly.

"You're not fat," Raymond snorted and brought her some food.

"Raymond..." Lisa looked at Raymond, about to say something when the phone rang again. It was Jordan.

Raymond's face, which had just softened, darkened again.

Lisa glanced at Raymond and cautiously answered the phone.

"Lisa, Casey says he misses you. We're together now," Jordan said softly, then after a pause, spoke again. "When are you coming back?"

"In a while, my visa is about to expire, so I'm preparing to return," Lisa said softly.

"Okay, we'll wait for you to come back," Jordan thought for a moment, then spoke again. "Briar and I got divorced."

Lisa's fingers stiffened. "Oh, it's none of my business."

"Today, Casey's teacher told me Casey has some personality issues. It's better for him to have a complete family," Jordan wanted to say more, but Lisa couldn't bear to listen.

Because Raymond's face was already very dark.

Lisa coughed and quickly found an excuse. "I can't talk now, I have something to do."

She quickly hung up the phone.

Raymond looked at Lisa with a dark expression. "He wants to remarry you?"

Lisa shook her head. "I don't think so."

"Lisa, if he wants to remarry you, would you agree?" Raymond questioned.

Lisa was stunned.

Remarry?

When she divorced Jordan, she never thought about remarrying him.

"Lisa! You hesitated, you want to remarry him," Raymond answered for her.

After saying that, Raymond angrily slammed the door and left.

Lisa wanted to say something but held back.

Even if she survived and the crisis was over, there was no future with Raymond. The Long family was a prestigious family.

She wasn't just the daughter of a mistress; she was Mark's daughter.

Moreover, she was divorced and had a child. How could the Long family possibly let her marry Raymond?

It was a very realistic issue, one she didn't even dare to think about.
