Chapter 823 Amelia's Rival Appears
Sunrise City, Bed and Breakfast.
The people in the car jumped out and looked at Nolan provocatively. "We want to stay here. Show me the best room."
Nolan pointed to his car. "Sorry, you can't park in the yard. The parking spaces are all outside. It's written on the sign at the entrance."
The driver frowned, very displeased. "If I park my car outside and it gets scratched, can you afford to compensate?"
"There are surveillance cameras outside, and our staff will help keep an eye on it. If there's any problem, we can call the police." Nolan handled such situations with ease, as there were always plenty of difficult guests.
"Also, all our rooms are booked. We're full and can't accommodate you. You crushed our flowers, and you'll have to compensate for that." He sensed that they was here to cause trouble.
Since they were here to cause trouble, they should pay for it.
"It's the off-season for tourism, and you're fully booked? Who would believe that?" The man said angrily and was about to barge into the backyard. "Are you looking down on us?"
Nolan raised his hand and grabbed the man's wrist, pressing him against the wall. "I advise you not to act rashly."
Edgar leaned against a pillar, eating a lollipop and watching the scene unfold.
The man wanted to make a move, but a woman got out of the car.
The woman, flamboyantly dressed, possessed an undeniably striking figure, and her cosmetically enhanced features were exquisitely crafted, rendering her a veritable beauty.
"Remy, don't make a move." The woman smiled at Nolan and Amelia. "You should know me, right?"
Amelia looked at the woman and shook her head.
The woman was a bit displeased. "I'm Arabella Pearl, a blogger with five million followers."
Edgar, still eating his lollipop, looked at Arabella and then took out his phone to search. She was indeed somewhat famous online. "You look so different in person compared to your online photos."
"How dare you talk like that!" The man named Remy pointed at Edgar and was about to step forward.
Arabella pulled Remy back and smiled. "I'm really sorry. We just want to stay here. Do you really have no rooms available?"
Nolan spoke in a deep voice. "No rooms available. We're full."
Arabella smiled and looked around. "Your B&B is really nice. Being fully booked during the off-season while the surrounding B&Bs are empty. What's your method?"
"It's all about online fame, getting a lot of attention through negative news. Isn't she the one rumored to be with that celebrity Nathaniel?" Remy sneered.
"Our B&B mostly has repeat customers. Many guests come back to Sunrise City during the off-season to see the sea. The reason why we can always attract guests here is firstly the unique natural environment of Sunrise City, secondly our excellent service, and thirdly the cozy atmosphere of our guesthouse. We put our heart into it, so our guests can feel at ease." Amelia explained politely and handed over a business card.
She continued to explained, "I'm really sorry, but we're fully booked today. Here's my contact information. You can contact me in advance next time."
Arabella took the business card and glanced at it. "I just want to stay here today. Can you make some arrangements?"
"Our neighbor is also a B&B. We arrange for guests to stay there when we're full. How about I..." Amelia was very polite.
"No, I want to stay here." Arabella shook her head. "If any guest is willing to give up their room. I can compensate them three times the room rate."
Nolan frowned, sensing that they were doing this on purpose. "Sorry, we don't do such breaches of contract"
Arabella took off her sunglasses and looked Nolan up and down. "Who's the owner of this B&B?"
"That's me." Amelia smiled and stood in front of Nolan.
A woman's intuition was very accurate. Arabella came with bad intentions, and the look she gave Nolan was even more menacing. It was a blatant seduction, as if she were ready to seduce Nolan at any moment.
Nolan really did attract women's attention wherever he went.
Previously, countless guests had asked for his contact information, which made Amelia so angry that she told him not to wear a straw hat in the sun.
Unexpectedly, getting tanned made him even more attractive, especially to these seductive women.
"And this handsome guy is the manager?" Arabella smiled at Nolan.
Nolan didn't say a word.
Arabella dropped the act. "Oh, I'm really sorry. We originally wanted to experience your B&B, but it seems we have no fate. We've acquired a piece of land across the street to build a well-known B&B. We thought we'd be neighbors in the future and get along well."
"Isn't she a competitor?" Edgar laughed. It was quite interesting.
"Competitor? You think you're worthy?" Remy snorted. "We're going to build the most high-end B&B in Sunrise City."
Amelia smiled and nodded. "Then congratulations in advance on your prosperous business. A B&B is all about sentiment. We get along well with our neighbors."
Edgar sighed. Amelia was too naive. They were clearly here to provoke.
"I value that piece of the sea, but I also want to create something exclusive. So, I'm sorry, can you close your B&B?" Arabella asked with a smile.
Amelia was a bit surprised. "Sorry, we don't plan to close."
There should be an order to everything; they are being too overbearing.
"Handsome, if you're interested, you can contact me. I can give you something this woman can't." Arabella seductively walked up to Nolan and slipped her business card into his collar.
He was wearing a tank top, and he had an amazing physique, while Arabella's actions were too obvious in their seduction.
Amelia was a bit angry, thinking he was almost dead but still not behaving.
She snorted and turned her head away from Nolan.
Arabella got back into the car. "I came today to give you a friendly notice. If you agree to close now, we can discuss compensation or acquisition policies. If you don't agree, then be prepared to pay the price."
Remy also gave Amelia a threatening look. "Arabella is not someone to mess with."
After saying that, they got into the car, reversed sharply, and drove away.
"Are they both crazy?" Edgar was stunned. The car exhaust made his lollipop taste less sweet.
Nolan, however, looked unbothered and looked at Amelia with a pitiful expression.
Amelia snorted. "You're too much of a flirt."
She was about to leave when Nolan grabbed her wrist and looked down at the business card still in his collar. "Honey, it's dirty. Help me take it off."
He was such a clean freak that he didn't want to do it himself.
Amelia, gritting her teeth in anger, reached out, grabbed the business card, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it.
Nolan raised the corners of his mouth, watching Amelia walk away.
Edgar was stunned. he saw Nolan as a big bad wolf and Amelia as a little white rabbit.
Amelia was clearly like an innocent little white rabbit, with no scheming.
"Nolan, they came to provoke you, planning to open a B&B across the street and drive you out. What about the flowers that got crushed?" Edgar pointed to the crushed flowers and ceramic pots on the ground.
"Didn't you notice Amelia is starting to care about me?" Nolan whispered.
Because of the sense of crisis, she started to care about him.
So, those people didn't matter.
He only cared about Amelia now.
Edgar was shocked. He suddenly realized something. When he got back, he would create some sense of crisis to make Avery care about him a bit.
