Chapter 368 I'm Kind but Not Easy to Bully

"Who are you?" Jasmine's fingers tightened slightly as she asked calmly,

On the other end of the line, Karen paused noticeably. "Jasmine, I know, I know your identity; I'm sorry for treating you badly. It's hard for me to accept it for a while. I've been good to you for twenty-one years. Even if these past few years have been bad, it can't completely offset the past."

Karen cried over the phone.

"You raised me for twenty-one years, threatened me for six years, wanted my life, wanted my kidney, took away my phone, used my Facebook and text messages to set up conspiracies, accused me of extortion, and caused me to be imprisoned for five years. It completely offsets everything." Jasmine's voice was hoarse, holding back tears.

"Karen, we have no relationship anymore. Whether Serena lives or dies, it has nothing to do with me. I didn't say those harsh words out of respect for the past. But Serena's current situation is her own doing." Jasmine's eyes were red from holding back tears. These six years of hell were all thanks to Serena and Karen.

Jasmine harbored no resentment, no thoughts of revenge. Yet Serena's retribution still came, indicating that evildoers would eventually face the consequences, and God was watching our actions.

Evildoers will face retribution sooner or later.

"Jasmine, do you hate Serena and me that much? You've done so many things that hurt Serena. You've occupied Serena's life for twenty-one years. If it weren't for you, Serena wouldn't be in this situation." Karen couldn't hold back.

"Mrs. Wilson, you're twisting the facts. The perpetrator is May, I'm the victim." Jasmine could now argue based on reason.

Jasmine also admired herself for taking that step bravely.

Outside the door, Ethan was worried and wanted to go in, but Cordelia held him back.

With tears in her eyes, Cordelia shook her head at Ethan.

Let Jasmine handle it herself. There were no shortcuts to growth; she must be strong and brave on her own.

Even though listening to Jasmine and Karen's conversation tore Cordelia apart.

This was Cordelia's biological daughter, tortured for six years by the Wilson family, and Karen.

Tortured to the point of being battered.

Tortured to severe depression, personality disorders, emotional disorders, severe somatization, and serious suicidal tendencies.

Her body trembled, and Cordelia pinched her thigh hard, forcing herself to calm down.

This was her biological daughter, her precious one.

She knew that Edward didn't dare tell her the truth about Jasmine's many tragic experiences in recent years, fearing she couldn't handle the shock.

But how could she not understand her own daughter?

Sadness filled Jasmine's eyes, her soul scarred beyond measure.

Jasmine struggled desperately, pleading and shouting!

A mother should be in tune with her daughter.

Cordelia blamed herself for not finding Jasmine sooner.

Why did Jasmine have to endure so much?

"Jasmine, May is your biological mother. She made mistakes, and you enjoyed life. Shouldn't you take responsibility?" Karen questioned.

"Sometimes, I think you're quite pitiful. You probably don't know, I'm not May's biological daughter either. I was taken from somewhere by May, so I have no obligation to bear her mistakes, believe it or not." Jasmine's hoarse voice spoke, intending to hang up.

"Jasmine, do you think I'll believe you just by saying that?" Karen screamed, "Jasmine, with my relationship with Alex, I can make Alex give up investing in Ethan's company. With the current power of the Wilson family, even if I have to give it my all, I can ensure Ethan never succeeds!" Karen started to lose control as Jasmine wouldn't listen.

"What do you want?" Jasmine asked,

"Serena is dying. Isn't that what you want to see? I want you to go to the hospital to confess and apologize to Serena, kneel down!" Karen raved.

"You're truly insane," Jasmine rubbed her temples, thinking of Karen's crazy behavior, and sarcastically remarked, "Remember that time you were bitten by a dog a few years ago? Did you forget to get a rabies shot? The incubation period is quite long."

"What did you say?" Karen was clearly shocked.

The usually timid Jasmine dared to mock her now? Did she mishear?

"Jasmine, I've raised you for over twenty years, and this is how you treat me now!" Karen couldn't bear it anymore.

"Mrs. Wilson, I warn you again. I'm not fighting with the Wilson family, but that doesn't mean you can bully me. I'm kind, but that's not a reason for you to repeatedly bully me. When I reason with you, you go crazy, and when I go crazy, you try to reason with me." Jasmine sighed.

Jasmine really didn't know how to face Karen and the Wilson family anymore.

Because of the trauma in the courtroom six years ago, Jasmine almost lost her ability to speak.

From slowly regaining her speech to now learning to go crazy.

Indeed, as long as one remained true to oneself, life could be much easier.

Instead of denying oneself and struggling, it was better to drive others crazy.

"Over the years, I've made concessions time and time again, endured time and time again, but all I've gotten is your continuous encroachment." Jasmine's legs felt weak as she sat on the edge of the bed. "The things the Wilson family did to me, the indifference, the bystander effect, I won't forget. Even if electroshock therapy erases my memory, I'll still remember everything you've done to me."

"You're truly a person who repays kindness with ingratitude, coming back to retaliate against the Wilson family." Karen laughed, a crazy laugh.

Karen said Jasmine came back for revenge.

"If that's what you want to believe, then yes, I am here to seek revenge. I will strive to break free from the shadows of the past, live better, and show you all at the Wilson family that even without your halo, I, Jasmine, can still live well. Even if you drag me into the mud, I can still bloom and find my light!"

Jasmine trembled all over; this was the most resolute thing she had ever said in her life.

"Mrs. Wilson, thank you for raising me for twenty-one years, but that's not a reason for you to want me to die. I've repaid what I owed you and Serena. Please don't contact me anymore. If you insist on forcing me to come over, I can go see Serena as a joke. If you're not afraid of me making Serena drop dead on the spot."

After saying that, Jasmine hung up, breathing heavily, threw the phone aside, and sat trembling on the floor for a long time.

Jasmine didn't shed a single tear.

Even though she held back, Jasmine took another step forward successfully.

Jasmine didn't cry; she could be stronger and braver..

No one should dictate her life; no one should make Jasmine die.

Outside, Cordelia turned away, unable to hold back her tears, ran into the bathroom, closed the door, turned on the tap, and cried in despair.

Jasmine, what a good child.

If she had grown up by Cordelia's side since childhood, how brilliant and dazzling she would have been.

Jasmine would have been Cordelia's redemption, and Cordelia would have been Jasmine's sheltering tree, her support, her confidence, her light.
