Chapter 244 Betty Insults Serena's Family
Betty grabbed Richard's arm firmly, her tone resolute. "I said I disagree!"
Richard looked at Betty for a while, then reached out and embraced her, saying, "I'm sorry, I may not be able to keep my promise."
"You liar!" Betty's eyes turned red, filled with anger. "All men are liars!"
Richard didn't say anything and followed Evan to do the matching.
"Even if everyone in your family dies, I still won't be able to calm down!" Karen continued to curse.
"Shut up! There's a reason God let you end up like this," Betty angrily scolded. "You raised Jasmine for twenty-one years, yet you claim to have no emotional connection with her? That shows that your whole family is hypocritical. Your so-called blood relationship and affection are just laughable excuses. You don't truly love Serena either. If tomorrow you find out Serena is not your biological daughter, I would love to see how you react."
Karen was speechless, unable to refute Betty's insults.
"You bitch, how dare you insult me?" Karen angrily tried to rush toward Betty and start a fight.
"I'm Betty, a member of the Willer family. My uncle is the CEO of the Willer Group, and the Zacine Group, which has been cooperating with the Wilson Family, is my company. I don't think we need to continue this cooperation in the future, slut," Betty pointed at Karen and warned Evan, "Without my consent today, I want to see who dares to touch Richard."
"Betty!" Evan looked at Betty angrily. "Serena urgently needs someone to donate a kidney for her."
"I don't care. Who is she? Why should I accommodate her? Do I owe her anything?" Betty wanted to attack Evan, but Richard held her back.
"This is what Richard owes Serena!" Evan felt Betty was being unreasonable. "You really have no reasoning."
"Do we need to reason with people like you? Then tell me, how did Richard owe Serena?" Betty wanted to take action. If Richard hadn't held her back, she would have definitely kicked Evan.
She thought they were shameless.
"That's enough. How can the daughter of the Willer family be so rude and uncultured? Aren't you afraid of embarrassing your parents?" Benjamin walked out of the hospital room and said sternly.
"My parents live by their own intelligence, not by what others think of them," Betty sarcastically laughed.
"Betty, you also come from a prestigious family. You used to marry into a wealthy family in Silverlight City. But you just had to fall for a disgusting person. Do you know what he has done to Serena?" Evan angrily said, "You haven't seen his true colors yet."
"Evan, that's enough." Richard frowned and protected Betty behind him, reminding Evan not to speak nonsense.
"Are you afraid? Are you afraid that if Betty knows your true self, she won't want you anymore? Relying on women to support you, you really have no shame." Evan looked down on Richard.
Evan also looked down on Richard being with Betty.
Richard clenched his fists, lowered his head and remained silent.
Since the day he started dating Betty, he had guessed that there would surely be many people gossiping about him.
That's also the reason why he didn't accept Betty's money. He wanted to maintain his dignity.
"Shut up. People full of malice always think others are acting with malice. I'm just having a normal relationship. It doesn't concern you that he supports me with his bodyguard salary." Betty pushed Richard aside and wanted to argue with Evan.
Richard was pushed back against the wall by Betty, helplessly looking at her. He realized that she was quite strong.
"You don't understand him!" Evan was angry.
"I don't understand him? I even know the location of the moles on his body. Don't I understand him better than you? Since you understand him so well, are you attracted to men?" Betty rolled her eyes. "Richard doesn't like someone like you."
Evan was hurt by Betty's words.
Richard also laughed in anger, holding Betty with one hand and covering his forehead with the other.
Betty's words could definitely make someone angry.
"You are all shameless, aren't you?" Betty wasn't done scolding. "I think your whole family is so shameless that it's difficult to describe in words."
"Do you know what Richard has done to Serena? They grew up in the same household, and it's because Richard bullied and molested Serena since childhood that she has serious psychological problems and suffers from severe depression." Evan felt that Betty didn't understand, that she had been deceived by Richard.
"Who?" Betty suddenly fell silent and stood up straight.
She had heard about this before.
Betty could tolerate other rumors, but she couldn't accept others defaming Richard with this matter.
This would ruin Richard.
"Serena has suffered a lot at their house, and Richard knows best what he has done to her!" Evan angrily glared at Richard.
Betty turned around and looked at Richard.
Richard's expression was complicated.
It seemed difficult to explain Serena's accusations against Richard.
"Do you understand?" Betty asked.
Richard remained silent and did not speak.
"Speak up. What have you done to her?" Betty frowned, forcing Richard to speak.
"If I said I didn't do those things, would you believe me?" Richard looked at Betty.
"I believe you." Betty looked at Richard firmly and answered quickly.
Richard was stunned for a moment.
Betty turned to Evan. "Did you hear that? My man said he didn't do anything."
"How could he admit it? Do you believe him?" Evan was very angry.
"Should I not trust my man's words and believe your sister instead? She's a woman who loves to lie," Betty laughed and said, "You only believe Serena and not Richard, so why should I believe Serena?"
Evan's face turned pale with anger. He felt that he couldn't communicate with Betty. "Richard, if you are a real man, go get tested. You know best whether you did those things or not."
"I'm telling you, Evan, don't believe everything Serena says. Is whatever she says always true?" Betty had a straightforward personality, and she wanted to make things clear with Evan and Serena today.
She turned around and walked toward Serena's hospital room.
"What are you doing?" Evan was scared. "Serena just finished being resuscitated and is still under observation."
"If she doesn't clarify today, I won't let Richard get tested." Betty angrily walked toward the hospital room.
"Dad, stop her."
Richard also nervously tried to go forward and grab Betty.
But he was too late. Betty had already kicked open the hospital room door.
Serena leaned against the hospital bed, obviously frightened by Betty's actions.
"You two go in and talk it out." Betty looked at Richard and said, "You were going to donate a kidney to her, right? Then you two need to clarify the past and have a private conversation."
Richard stood at the entrance of the hospital room and looked at the pale-faced Serena, furrowing his brows slightly.
He couldn't not hate her, after all, they had lived together for over twenty years.
"Jasmine backed out?" Serena spoke first.
"I will donate for her instead," Richard said in a low voice.
"Richard, let's talk." Serena took the initiative to talk to Richard.
Taking advantage of the Wilson Family's lack of attention, Betty secretly activated the recording function on her phone and stuffed it into Richard's pocket, pushing him inside. "You guys talk slowly."
After speaking, Betty closed the door to the ward and stood guard at the entrance, watching Evan and the others. "You all wait. I can't let Richard donate his kidney casually."
