Chapter 294 Infiltrating the Cunningham Family with Beauty
After speaking, Wilson picked up a nearby vase and imitated Betty's graceful posture as she lifted it and smashed it on the man's forehead.
Because Wilson idolized Betty so much, she gathered up the courage and took a big risk.
But it was her first time doing such a thing, and Wilson was scared, her face turning pale.
She even cried out of fear.
"Why are you crying when you hit someone?" Nolan saw that Wilson had caused trouble and quickly walked over, scolding her while protecting her and the girl behind him.
"I hit someone for the first time, Boss. I did it for you. He not only molested this girl when he was drunk but also insulted you. I couldn't bear it," Wilson sniffed.
"Pathetic." Nolan looked at Wilson with disdain and secretly planned to have Elena take her for some martial arts training. She was too frail to even hit someone.
"F**k!" The man who was hit gripped in pain for a while before realizing he was about to curse at Wilson.
"What did you say?" Nolan's eyes darkened as he grabbed the man's collar and slammed him against the wall with a thud.
After beating him up, Nolan coldly said to the club manager who had just arrived, "He drank too much and banged himself into the wall. Did you see it?"
The manager's face turned white in fear and quickly nodded. "Yes, he accidentally hurt himself. But Mr. Cunningham, this man is Mr. Patrick's friend, and Mr. Patrick is here tonight. How should we handle this?"
The manager bit his own tongue in fear. He couldn't afford to provoke Nolan, but Henry was his boss.
"If you dare to mess with me, just wait and see!" the man snarled in pain.
As long as Nolan was there, Wilson was not afraid. After all, she had successfully shifted the conflict onto Nolan.
The Cunningham Family was powerful, and Nolan definitely wasn't afraid.
Wilson turned around and looked at the bullied girl, comforting her in a soft voice. "It's okay, don't be afraid."
"Sister, thank you, but this person seems really powerful. Don't cause trouble," the girl worried that Wilson would get into trouble, turned around and bowed to the manager. "I'm sorry, manager, I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I caused trouble for the club."
The manager was somewhat impatient, frowning at the girl. "Luna, I'm not saying this to criticize you, but you need money and I gave you a job. Do you want to make me lose my job? You know how well we pay here, and since you chose to come here, you should accept the fact that you might encounter situations like this."
The manager angrily reprimanded the girl named Luna.
Luna's eyes welled up with tears, afraid to lift her head.
"Why are you talking like this? No amount of money justifies harassment!" Wilson spoke up for Luna.
"I'm sorry," Luna kept apologizing.
She came from a poor family, without connections, and could only apologize.
"She knew this would happen when she took the job and she can't act like she didn't know anything and then bring trouble to me," the manager was very angry.
"Did you clearly tell her? Did you say she would encounter situations like this while working here? Is the salary you give compensation for being bullied?" Wilson questioned.
Luna shook her head.
"This is on you. Quickly apologize to Mr. Carter," the manager wanted to find a way to resolve the situation.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Mr. Carter," Luna quickly bowed and apologized.
Nolan frowned at Luna, then glanced at Wilson.
This Luna seemed to resemble Wilson a bit.
Wilson also felt that Luna was too similar to her past self.
"Don't apologize to him. This is his fault. If the club requires employees to engage in sexual transactions for their salary, I'll report you for illegal profiting! Is this a brothel?" Wilson, without knowing where she found the courage, spoke with anger, her eyes turning red.
She argued with the manager while being filled with anger.
The manager was silenced by being confronted.
Nolan raised an eyebrow, not saying a word, watching Wilson reasoning with the manager.
Usually, she would stutter when she was nervous, but in critical moments, her mouth could be quite sharp.
As long as he stood by her side, she wouldn't be afraid of Wilson getting taken advantage of. It could be considered as building her courage.
As his assistant, she definitely couldn't be meek and submissive.
Wilson had a strong sense of being smoothed out, making people think they could take advantage of her.
There was no tension in her presence, she would be bullied wherever she went, and bringing her along for business negotiations wouldn't create an impressive image.
Nolan stood to the side, letting Wilson take charge, considering it as a kind of training.
"You better think carefully about what fate awaits you if you offend me!" The man who had insulted Luna gritted his teeth as he grabbed her collar.
Fearful, Luna instinctively dodged and collided directly into Nolan's arms.
Nolan instinctively raised his hand to protect Luna and kicked the man out with one swift motion.
This person really had no remorse.
Nervously, Luna looked at Nolan, and in the process, spilled the alcohol from the cart all over him.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry sir. I'll compensate you for your clothes," Luna said as she wiped the alcohol off Nolan, offering to pay for his clothes.
"It's not necessary," Nolan said nonchalantly, taking a step back to avoid any intimate contact with her.
Unsure if it was her naivety or her eagerness to make amends, Luna approached to take Nolan's removed clothes, and with teary eyes, she said, "I'm sorry, I'll wash them clean for you, please give me your contact information so I can return them once they're clean."
Meanwhile, the drunk man who had been kicked held a grudge and grabbed a nearby bottle of alcohol, preparing to hit Nolan.
Panicked, Luna shielded Nolan and ended up being hit by the bottle herself.
Nolan froze for a moment, then grabbed Luna.
"Luna!" Wilson also stepped forward to protect Nolan and took the hit from the broken shards of the bottle, resulting in a shallow cut on her cheek that started bleeding.
Seeing Wilson bleeding, Nolan's pressure instantly intensified; how dare someone hit a woman in front of him.
Hearing the commotion from outside, Henry and several managers from the party stepped out of the private room.
"What's going on?" Henry initially didn't notice Wilson, only realizing that a conflict had just occurred here.
Wilson stepped back while protecting Luna.
Blood trickled down Luna's forehead, down her chin, and onto Wilson's body, making the situation look frightening.
"Mr. Cunningham, it's quite rare to witness you causing a fight at the club," Henry furrowed his brows and grabbed Nolan's hand, questioning in a deep voice, "I don't know how Mr. Carter has offended you."
Nolan shrugged off Henry's hand and walked in front of Wilson and Luna. "Call an ambulance."
The managers hastily dialed for an ambulance in a panic.
"Mr. Patrick, you need to be my witness," Mr. Carter sat on the ground, his face bruised and swollen, covered in blood from his nose.
Initially, Henry had wanted to protect Mr. Carter, but following Nolan's gaze, Henry's heart skipped a beat. He hurriedly reached out and grabbed Wilson's wrist, anxiously inspecting him. "Where did you get injured, Wilson?"
Seeing Henry, Wilson's eyes turned red. She hadn't settled accounts with Henry regarding Justin's matters yet.
Henry was also feeling guilty as he rushed from Boston to Silverlight City to contact various experts and hospitals for Justin's condition, but he didn't dare to show up in front of Wilson.
"Don't touch me," Wilson shook off Henry's hand and took a step back.
"What's going on?" Henry was already angry and shouted at the manager furiously.
"Mr. Carter was drunk and wanted to make a move on Luna and that girl," the manager said.
As soon as the manager finished speaking, Henry's murderous gaze fell on Mr. Carter, who had a black eye and a swollen face.
At that moment, Mr. Carter felt a chill down his spine.
What is the real identity of this woman?
"Boss, let's take Luna to the hospital first, instead of waiting for an ambulance," Wilson worried about Luna's condition and asked Nolan to drive her to the hospital.
"Let's go." Nolan draped his coat over Luna and furrowed his brows as he led her outside.
She blocked him and shielded him from the bottle, a woman who was unbelievably foolish.
Luna nervously looked at the man in front of her, her eyes turning red as she lowered her head.
In the car, Luna secretly sent a message, [I will gain the trust of the Cunningham Brothers. Please don't harm my grandfather.]
