Chapter 255 Annabelle and Fiona's Conflict

"What if the Cunningham's Family biological daughter is beautiful, with an amazing personality, and happens to be your type?" Wilson asked nervously, lacking confidence.

"I like your type. Unless the Cunningham Family and you look exactly the same, I could never like her," Ethan snorted, saying, "Even if she looked exactly like you, it still wouldn't work. Am I really that shallow?"

Ethan's words made Wilson laugh. "You like me because I'm obedient."

Perhaps, Wilson believed that her greatest strength was being obedient.

Ethan sighed helplessly and said, "Wilson, I like you for being yourself. You don't have to be so obedient."

Wilson hugged Ethan tightly, hummed softly, and bit his shoulder.

Ethan knew he had gone too far just now.

At the Cunningham Residence.

When it was rumored that the Cunningham Family’s biological daughter had returned, some people were happy while others were worried.

"Fiona, you're back," Edgar walked into the yard and happened to see Fiona who had just returned.

Fiona didn't look well, she nodded and whispered, "Edgar."

"Go inside," Nolan told Edgar to go in first.

"Have you seen Annabelle?" Nolan asked proactively.

Fiona shook her head and remained silent. She was afraid that Cordelia would feel sad if she saw her, so she hadn't dared to go in.

"Don't be afraid, no matter what, you are still my sister," Nolan comforted her quietly.

Fiona nodded, smiling somewhat bitterly. "Nolan, am I just unnecessary?"

"What are you talking about?" Nolan frowned. "Do you think the Cunningham Family would be any different with one more person? Joe was also adopted, but they treat him like a treasure."

"It's not the same," Fiona whispered, her voice hoarse.

"Don't be silly, you will always be my sister," Nolan said, rubbing Fiona's head. "My mom said Annabelle is a kind person and wouldn't compete with you for anything."

"But once she comes back, she will compete with me for Ethan, won't she?" Fiona's eyes turned red.

Nolan paused and said, "No, the choice still lies with Ethan, and besides, Annabelle may not even like him.

"Don't think too much, let's go inside," Nolan said, leading Fiona into the living room.

Inside the living room, the family was chatting, and the atmosphere seemed very good.

Annabelle smiled gently, making her very likable. "Mom, have some water."

Cordelia nodded and said, "Sit down, let the servants work. Once everyone arrives, I'll introduce you properly."
Annabelle shyly nodded.

"Mom," Nolan walked over.

Cordelia glanced at Nolan, then looked at Fiona behind him and frowned.

Cordelia didn't like Fiona, not just because someone had replaced her daughter with Fiona.

Cordelia felt that all of this was not a coincidence, but a conspiracy.

"Mom, Fiona happened to have some free time, so she came back with me," Nolan whispered.

"Okay, sit down quickly," Cordelia didn't vent her emotions on Fiona, after all, Fiona was just a child when she came to the Cunningham Family. She had watched Fiona grow up and knew that Fiona wasn't a bad person.

Fiona obediently sat aside, admiring Annabelle.

She thought Annabelle was really lucky to be Cordelia's biological daughter.

"And who is this?" Annabelle recognized Fiona but still asked intentionally.

Fiona was the most famous star in Ethan's film company, so of course Annabelle knew her, but she wanted to embarrass Fiona.

Because Annabelle knew that she was already the Cunningham Family's daughter, her biggest obstacle was Fiona, whom Nolan adored.

"Don't you watch TV dramas?" Edgar took a bite of his apple and said, "She's a celebrity."

Annabelle pretended to be surprised and said, "Ah! No wonder she looks so familiar."

"I feel like I've seen you before, you're the daughter of a wealthy family who bullied a classmate, causing them to commit suicide and leaving another person disabled. Her name is... right, her name is Zelda," Fiona responded innocently.

She was an actress, with great acting skills, but she couldn't face Cordelia because she felt guilty. However, she was not the type of girl to be bullied by anyone. Annabelle claimed she didn't know Fiona, which was clearly intentional.

Annabelle's expression was embarrassed as she instinctively explained, "Mom, the person she's talking about is my sister. I'm sorry, but it's because my parents spoiled her too much that she turned out this way. I actually tried to educate her, but she wouldn't listen." Annabelle was good at deceiving people, deliberately portraying her sister as spoiled. This was because Annabelle's sister was her biological sister and Annabelle herself was well-behaved due to her adoptive parents not spoiling her. She meant to say that she was mistreated in the Harper Family.

Cordelia quickly held Annabelle's hand and said, "I'm sorry for mistreating you." "Mom, that's not true. They treat me well," she said, her eyes turning red. Fiona frowned and clenched her fists. She realized Annabelle was not a simple person.

Annabelle embarrassed Fiona like this as a warning, that everything belonging to the Cunningham Family would be taken away by her. Not just Ethan, she would also take away Cordelia and her three brothers.

Fiona's eyes turned red as she instinctively looked at Nolan. But Nolan and Edgar couldn't perceive the tension between the two women. They thought the two women were just having a normal conversation. "Where's Edward?" Fiona asked in order to ease the awkwardness. "He's out dealing with something, but he'll be back soon," Cordelia replied. "Let's not worry about him. Let's eat first."

"Mom, I also invited two guests," Nolan said, glancing at the time and furrowing his brows. It had been a while and Ethan and Wilson still hadn't arrived. Nolan's gaze was incredibly gloomy as he coldly snorted. If Ethan didn't come today, he could expect Howard to kick him out of Stellar Enterprises.

"You invited outsiders?" Cordelia paused for a moment. "Today is our family banquet."

"They're not outsiders. Ethan has already agreed to marry into the Cunningham Family, so he's not an outsider. And you also like Wilson very much, so I invited them both," Nolan explained with a smile. Cordelia nodded, feeling a sense of regret.

She did indeed prefer Wilson. "Ethan marrying into the Cunningham Family?” Annabelle asked, feigning surprise. “Really? Me and Ethan?” Nolan asked. “I was once with Ethan, we were almost engaged, so”…" Annabelle trailed off, her eyes welling up as if she couldn’t continue.

Fiona frowned, looking displeased with Annabelle's acting skills. "As far as I know, Ethan hasn't had any women by his side in these years," Fiona couldn't help but marvel at Annabelle's performance. "Six years ago," Annabelle nervously glanced at Cordelia and said, "at the hotel, Ethan got drunk, and we..." Cordelia furrowed her brow and asked, "Is that so?" Annabelle nodded. "But I won't use this against Ethan, if he's willing, I'm willing to marry him." Nolan took a deep breath and instinctively glanced at Fiona. Fiona's face turned pale with anger.

"How did I never hear of this six years ago? All I knew was that the Harper Family wanted to marry into the Douglas family, but it seemed like Ethan publicly rejected them, and the Harper Family spread rumors, which Ethan publicly clarified." Nolan cleared his throat twice as a reminder for Fiona to restrain herself. "Mrs. Cunningham, Mr. Douglas says he's here with his wife," the butler announced at the door. Ethan and Wilson had arrived.
