Chapter 732 Bradley is the Real Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
The three Cunningham brothers were still putting on a life-and-death show, fighting fiercely with realistic acting.
The people behind the scenes were now most afraid of the Cunningham family.
Nolan had already been kicked out of the company and was at home reflecting on his actions.
When Cordelia found out Nolan had hidden Amelia at home, she told him to marry her. Nolan refused, saying he wasn't serious about Amelia. Cordelia hit Nolan, saying he would regret it. Amelia offered to leave, and Cordelia agreed, sending her away and warning Nolan not to bother her again. Nolan agreed.
Nolan had his assistant give Amelia a check, which she cashed the same day, as if afraid he'd change his mind. Cordelia also offered her money, but Amelia refused, only taking Nolan's. Amelia then disappeared in San Fransisco.
If Nolan had wanted to find her, he could have, but he didn't.
Sitting on the sofa, Nolan stared at the empty cat villa. He had planned to throw it out since he couldn't keep any cat, but stopped the butler from doing so.
Rubbing his temples, Nolan took a deep breath. After a long silence, he took out his phone, hesitated, then put it back.
How was Amelia doing now?
Nathaniel was still filming, so he probably hadn't found her yet.
Nolan felt irritated. Why did he care? It didn't matter anymore. Amelia could do whatever she wanted.
"Mr. Cunningham, do you have time to meet and chat?" Nolan's phone rang; it was an unknown caller.
Nolan frowned. "Who is this?"
"I heard you're no longer with the Cunningham Group. Are you interested in joining Sunrise Corp?" The caller introduced themselves.
Sunrise Corp, a shell company registered a few years ago, went unnoticed in San Fransisco until recently. It suddenly grew rapidly, with unprecedented resources and connections, advancing at a pace comparable to Ethan's Raymond Group in its prime.
Nolan initially thought Sunrise Corp was Ethan's, but after investigating, he found it wasn't.
However, the company's rise mirrored the Raymond Group's tactics, strikingly similar to Ethan's methods.
"Are you the president of Sunrise Corp?" Nolan squinted his eyes, quite interested in meeting this person.
"I am the person in charge of Sunrise Corp. Our president is not convenient to meet people," the other party said.
Nolan raised an eyebrow.
He knew a mysterious person was behind this company. The reluctance to meet suggested an acquaintance, afraid of being discovered.
"Alright, you set the time." Nolan agreed.
They had been acting for so long, Edward and Edgar had even fought with him. Their elaborate performance was just to lure out the mysterious person behind the scenes.
Now the mysterious person appeared.
After hanging up the phone, Nolan called Ethan. "The mysterious person has appeared."
"Okay," Ethan responded.
"Sunrise Corp has been growing recently. Someone is using their connections to help them. Guess who it is?" Nolan asked Ethan.
Ethan's voice was deep. "It should be related to Vincent."
Vincent took this opportunity to return to San Fransisco and hadn't left. He didn't leave, and Sunrise Corp rose.
Whether or not the person behind Sunrise Corp was Vincent, it had something to do with him.
"Vincent holds the connections of the Hamilton family. You have to be aware that they are not easy to deal with." Nolan frowned.
"I can't see through Vincent; I don't understand his purpose." Ethan's voice was low.
A few days ago, someone made a move against Justin again, and Vincent got injured saving Justin.
If he was an enemy, he didn't seem to have much hostility towards the child and Jasmine.
If he was not an enemy, he was doing these little tricks behind the scenes.
What was his purpose?
Vincent was really hard to read.
"Whether he is an enemy or not, you have to be careful with him." Nolan was very wary of Vincent.
"Got it."
Justin was leaning against Vincent at home, telling him a story.
"Uncle, do you think Cinderella left the glass slipper on purpose?" Justin asked.
"Why do you say that?" Vincent raised an eyebrow.
"When the clock struck, everything was supposed to change back. So why didn't the glass slipper? She was an earl's daughter, but her stepmother turned her into Cinderella. She was worthy of the prince—they had matching backgrounds. Only with him could she stand up to her stepmother."
Vincent looked down at Justin. Was Justin really only five or six years old?
"Every story has countless interpretations. What you see is what it is. Don't be assimilated by others' thoughts." Vincent rubbed Justin's head.
Over there, Joe also brought the completed test papers to Vincent.
"You managed to get all these difficult questions right. I guess you can barely be considered a little genius."
"Why barely?" Joe was not convinced. "Our teacher says I'm a genius."
"Because I could participate in math competitions when I was little." Vincent was quite proud.
Joe snorted. "Uncle Edgar said that I should do things appropriate for my age. If I'm too smart, it will make him look dumb."
Vincent was amused by them. Just as he was about to say something, his phone rang.
His eyes darkened, and Vincent got up, walked to the window, and answered the call.
"Proceed according to plan." The man's voice on the other end was low.
"Okay."
Now the control of the Douglas Group was in Bradley's hands. Mark and Daniel were trying to force Bradley to hand over the management rights.
"The Powell family said that only if I am the person in charge of the company will they continue to cooperate with us." Bradley smiled but refused to hand over the management rights.
Mark's face darkened. "Bradley, what do you mean by this? Are you trying to burn bridges?"
Bradley leaned back in his chair. "I am now the president of the Douglas Group. You seem to be just an assistant. You are now fired."
Mark frowned, looking coldly at Bradley. "You pretended to cooperate with me to deliberately gain control of the Douglas Group."
Mark thought, 'Couldn't tell, Bradley is the final winner?'
Bradley smiled. "Mark, it's not that easy to get the Douglas Group. This is a gift you handed to me yourself. How can I return it?"
Mark's face turned black with anger. "You have already given half of your shares to Daniel. How long do you think you can be arrogant?"
"Sorry, but when you forced me to sign the contract, there were threats involved. I have the right to apply for the invalidation of the equity transfer contract." Bradley waved his phone.
Indicating he had evidence of being threatened.
