Chapter 817 Edgar Helps Amelia Deal with Lucas
Edgar pointed the camera at Amelia. "Amelia, who is this person to you?"
Amelia's eyes reddened, and she lowered her head. "He is my brother, Lucas."
Edgar nodded and turned the camera back to himself. Before coming, Edgar had read a lot of gossip online. It was all about Lucas constantly wronging Amelia, while Amelia endured it all without ever saying a bad word about Lucas.
It was clear that Amelia was very patient and kind.
"Let me tell everyone, this guy named Lucas goes to St. Clair Academy. You can check it out. He's a spoiled brat, and his classmates surely know! He smokes, drinks, and fights at school. He lost two million dollars in a car bet with a rich kid. Where did that two million dollars come from?"
Edgar sneered and continued, "Of course, he stole Amelia's only valuable necklace, which was the only keepsake left by her grandmother. Amelia grew up with her grandmother because her parents didn't raise her much since she was a girl."
On the other side, Lucas panicked and tried to grab the phone. "Don't listen to his nonsense."
"Nonsense?" Edgar laughed. "They are siblings, Lucas goes to a prestigious school with tuition fees of tens of thousands of dollars a month, while Amelia goes to a regular high school back home. Not to mention other things."
The live stream audience got excited.
Many of Amelia's classmates spoke up, and the live stream's direction was quickly led by Edgar.
Edgar was already handsome, and now the live stream audience was even more excited.
Lucas's classmates also spoke up, saying Lucas lost two million dollars gambling, losing his tuition and living expenses, and was forced to take a break from school.
Instantly, the focus of the live stream changed.
Everyone started attacking Lucas.
"Amelia, don't go too far. Mom is still in the hospital!" Lucas, spiraling out of control, resorted again to emotional manipulation.
"Your mom is sick, and you gamble with the money?" Edgar pointed the camera at Lucas.
Lucas cried in anger and complained to the police. "Officer, he took my phone."
The police couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up. "Give the phone back to him."
Edgar shrugged and greeted everyone. "Sorry, I have to give the phone back to that jerk."
Then Edgar handed the phone to Lucas.
Lucas hurriedly tried to explain to the audience. "Don't listen to him, he's lying..."
But the more anxious Lucas got, the more people in the live stream cursed him.
While Edgar was indeed very handsome, and the audience's expectations were too high, demanding Lucas to be replaced.
Lucas tried to explain, but before he could finish, the live stream was reported and shut down.
He looked at Amelia angrily. "Mom is in the hospital, you have to go see her!"
"We'll go!" Amelia was about to refuse, but Edgar smiled and agreed. "Of course, we have to go see her! Once Nolan is done, we'll go."
Amelia was confused, not knowing what Edgar was planning.
Edgar smiled and escorted the police out. "Such a small matter, no need for you to come all the way here. I'll handle it."
"Negotiate well." The police nodded.
Edgar skillfully sent the police away with a smile.
Lucas looked at Edgar in disbelief, wanting to call the police, but Edgar covered his mouth and pushed him behind.
He was no match for Edgar, and soon, he was left alone.
His momentum instantly dropped.
"What's going on?" Nolan returned, holding a mop, clearly just finished working.
Nolan's formidable presence intimidated Lucas into seeking refuge behind Amelia.
Amelia frowned and instinctively moved away.
Lucas clung to Amelia. "Amelia, are you going to let that man hit me?"
Nolan walked over with a grim face, grabbed Lucas by the back of his collar, and kicked him.
Lucas screamed sharply. "Help, I'm calling the police."
"We're family, I can't discipline you? Let me tell you, even if I beat you to death, it's still domestic violence." Nolan threatened Lucas.
Lucas was scared and didn't dare to speak.
"Let's go, Nolan. I'll take Amelia and him to the hospital. He said his mom is sick, I'll go check it out. You stay here and rest." Edgar patted Nolan's shoulder.
Amelia looked at Nolan in confusion. "I..."
Nolan frowned. "Go ahead, your mom is sick? If you need money, ask him. He has money, not mine."
Edgar pursed his lips. Nolan was really excellent, now strictly controlled by Amelia.
"You stay home and take care of the house." Amelia wanted to tell him to rest well, as he was sick.
But feeling awkward, she ordered him to watch the house.
Nolan quickly nodded.
Edgar was shocked, Nolan had really changed.
He was like a different person.
"Amelia, don't worry, let's go." Edgar grabbed Lucas by the back of his collar and took him away.
Lucas looked at Amelia resentfully, not knowing what bad idea he was thinking.
"Amelia, I don't want him to go. Mom told you to take care of her, why bring him?" Lucas whispered angrily.
Amelia snorted coldly. "Sorry, but now that Nolan and I are married, he's my husband's brother, a family member. It's only right to visit mom."
Lucas's face darkened with anger, and he gritted his teeth. "Amelia, you've really grown bold. Do you think marrying into a wealthy family means you can abandon us forever? Let me tell you, We will always be a family. You can't abandon us."
Amelia looked at Lucas angrily. "Let me tell you, don't go too far. I'm still dealing with you now, not because you're my brother, but to go to the hospital and make things clear. After that, never come to me again."
Lucas saw Amelia was serious and got scared. "Amelia, what are you doing? You're married to Nolan, so rich..."
"Nolan left with nothing, not taking anything from the family. So now he's just a poor man, relying on Amelia to support him." Edgar warned Lucas.
Lucas was speechless.
Hospital.
Caitlyn lay in bed pretending to be sick.
As soon as Lucas entered, he started crying, saying Nolan beat him.
"Amelia, I regret giving birth to you. I almost died in childbirth for you..." Caitlyn cried, using moral blackmail.
"I'm so miserable, your dad died early, and you're heartless." She cried.
"Get out if you're fine. I said there's no illness, don't waste medical resources." At the door, Edgar brought in a nurse.
The nurse was angry. "That woman has nothing wrong with her, yet she's been lying here all day."
Caitlyn's face changed, looking embarrassed. "You quacks, what do you mean? My chest hurts, and my heart is bad. If I die, will you take responsibility?"
Edgar sneered, walked to the bedside, and looked at Caitlyn. "I'll give you two options. Either you sue, and the court decides how much Amelia should pay you in support, either in a lump sum or monthly. Or you name a price, then leave Sunrise City and never bother Amelia again. If I find out, you'll face the consequences."
