Chapter 333 Ethan and Connor's Relationship

It was not that Nolan was short of money, but mainly because Nolan felt embarrassed.

Jasmine's proposal was rejected many times, deliberately making things difficult. Now that she had excelled, it would make Nolan hesitate about whether to apologize.

"Nolan, Jasmine was truly the lucky star of the Cunningham Group! She brought us a substantial fortune," the secretary exclaimed excitedly, almost jumping up. With the project finalized, everyone received their bonuses.

Nolan hummed. "This project is losing money."

"That's impossible. Crestwood Development Group was a great partner, much better than the Douglas Group now. Ever since Ethan left the Douglas Group, their reputation has plummeted, while the Crestwood Development Group has been excelling." The secretary believed that this project was not unprofitable but rather very profitable.

Nolan leaned back in his chair and asked, "Is the profit from this project worth a mansion in the center of Silverlight City?"

The secretary scratched her head. "If we buy that expensive mansion, there won't be much profit left."

Nolan smiled and said, "Alright, attend to your affairs."

The Cunningham Group downstairs.

Jasmine heard that the project of Crestwood Development Group was approved, and she was so excited that she almost had low blood sugar.

She quickly ran out of the elevator and pounced on Ethan.

"Darling! My project proposal has passed the evaluation of Crestwood Development Group! It's approved, the bid is approved!" Jasmine was so excited that she was almost incoherent.

Ethan held Jasmine with one hand and smiled as he spoke, "So, are you saying that Nolan's house is a must-have?"

Ethan was determined to set up Nolan.

"I still think a bonus is more practical. Don't cheat him; he's quite pitiful," Jasmine chuckled.

"I am doing this for his benefit," Ethan raised an eyebrow.

He was trying to help Nolan find a way out for the future.

When Nolan found out the truth, at least he had still given gifts to Jasmine.

In the end, Jasmine wouldn't be too disappointed in him.

"Coco has been really nice to me, but never mind, I'll do it for Coco's sake," Jasmine said happily.

"Let's go. We'll go to the grocery store to buy ingredients. How about having dinner at home tonight? I am treating!"

Ethan nodded indulgently. "Okay."

As long as Jasmine was happy, he was pleased.

Everything he did was aimed at making Jasmine happy and dispelling her unhappiness.

"By the way, did the landlord come to fix the toilet today?" Jasmine asked.

Ethan nodded quickly. "Here it is! He just got us a new one."

Jasmine looked surprised. "Is this landlord doing charity work?"

Ethan smiled and said, "I heard he is not short of money. He is the boss of a big company, and he spoils his wife a lot."

"A man who spoils his wife must be a good person," Jasmine happily cupped Ethan's face. "I've realized that ever since I met you, I've been so lucky every single day."

In the past, she was like a star of misfortune, as if being trampled in the mud, losing all her momentum, until she met Ethan, that beam of light truly shone upon her.

"Yes, a man who spoils his wife must be a good person," Ethan nodded in agreement. "The landlord is definitely a good person."

Jasmine fastened her seatbelt and raised her hand happily. "Let's go!"

The shopping mall.

Jasmine and Ethan pushed a stroller around the grocery section, wandering.

Justin is now staying with the Cunninghams, living with the little guy and following Coco.

Coco liked Justin and spoiled the child rotten , which happened to give Ethan and Jasmine some alone time together.

"The beef slices seem to be good." Ethan picked up some ingredients from the imported food section and took a portion, which Jasmine secretly swapped for another portion.

That box of beef... three hundred dollars.

What expensive beef!

Ethan just smirked, but Jasmine brought him something to eat.

The meal Jasmine made, he had to finish it even if he got diarrhea.

Jasmine pointed to the high hotdog and pizza, asking Ethan to help her get a portion.
Jasmine didn't see Ethan grabbing food from the shelf across.

The person next to her casually helped Jasmine take it down.

Jasmine realized it wasn't Ethan only after she took it.

"Long time no see," Connor said. He was dressed in a suit wearing glasses, and even when he smiled, he still looked a bit aloof.

Jasmine's pizza fell on the ground, and she panicked, bending down to pick it up.

Ethan walked over to help Jasmine pick up the items, casting a wary glance at Connor. "Connor?"

Connor's face showed no emotion. "Ethan, what a coincidence."

"This is my wife, Jasmine," Ethan introduced to Connor.

Jasmine nervously hid behind Ethan for a moment.

"Sorry, my wife is a bit shy," Ethan explained with a smile.

"It's okay. We've met before, even earlier than you." Connor's words carried a hint of provocation.

Ethan furrowed his brow, looking warily at Connor.

"I was Jasmine's therapist," Connor volunteered.

Ethan glanced back at Jasmine and instinctively pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. "That was quite a coincidence."

"Have you been doing well recently?" Connor asked Jasmine.

Jasmine nodded nervously. "I'm fine..."

"I'm sorry, my wife and I need to hurry home. Our child is waiting for us there," Ethan said.

Worried that Jasmine might get upset again, he pulled her away.

But in conversations, he also never forgot to assert his sovereignty at any time.

Jasmine was his wife, and they had children!

Ethan wanted to tell all the men in the world.

I always felt like these people were eyeing his wife hungrily.

"Ethan, if you have time, let's hang out together," Connor asked.

"I don't have time, a bit busy," Ethan waved his hand.

Connor smiled. "Haven't you still forgiven me for what happened with Olivia?"

Jasmine's steps froze for a moment as she inexplicably felt a rush of anxiety while looking at Ethan.

"Who is Olivia?"

Ethan explained, "Olivia is the daughter of Connor's brother, and she is his illegitimate daughter."

"Why didn't you tell her that Olivia likes you?" Connor chuckled as he spoke again.

"There are quite a few people who like me. After all, I am so outstanding," Ethan warned Connor through gritted teeth as he crossed the line.

Tightening his grip on Jasmine's hand, Ethan spoke again,"But I only love my wife."

Connor just smiled and didn't say anything.

Jasmine held Ethan's hand tightly, still feeling a bit shaken. She tried to speak several times, but each time, she swallowed her words.

"Are you feeling jealous?" Ethan thought Jasmine was jealous of Olivia.

"Have you heard of Everglow Innovations? It's a company in Hawthorne," Ethan whispered to Jasmine.

Jasmine nodded.

"The chairman of Everglow Innovations, who is Olivia's father, recognized Olivia as Hawthorne's illegitimate daughter," Ethan held Jasmine's hand. "Back in high school, Olivia was acknowledged by Hawthorne and transferred to the school where Mitchell and I were studying. Olivia was shy at that time, and She liked to follow behind Connor, who, being just a year older, was quite caring towards his niece. ."

Connor, the late-in-life son of Mr. Hawthorne, was considered to be a beloved and cherished son by his father.

"Mitchell, Connor, and I got along pretty well, naturally spending a lot of time together. I was unaware that Olivia liked me," Ethan swore.
'If Olivia weren't Connor's niece, I wouldn't even spare her a second glance.' Ethan thought.
