Chapter 233: Dad, someone is bullying Mom

Ethan's dwelling.

Jasmine sat on the couch, holding a glass of water and dazed.

She was actually afraid, afraid that Henry would fight for custody of Justin with her.

Although she said that Ethan would help her, when it came to the courtroom, Jasmine did not want Ethan to get involved.

"Don't be afraid, Henry won't fight you for Justin's custody," Ethan comforted Jasmine softly, holding her in his arms.

Jasmine nodded and tried to get up.

"What do you need? Let me get it for you," Ethan quickly stood up, not allowing Jasmine to lift a finger.

Jasmine looked at Ethan. He had been acting strangely since he came back from Henry's.

Although he treated her well on regular days, recently it felt deliberate.

It made her feel strange.
"Shall I peel an apple for you?" Ethan was being overly attentive, insisting on peeling an apple for her, making it difficult for him.

Unable to hold back her laughter, Jasmine looked at Ethan and said softly, "Did you do something wrong and kept it a secret?"

Jasmine was joking, but Ethan truly looked like a child who had done something wrong and was afraid to tell his parents.

Ethan was taken aback for a moment, then spoke after a moment, "Have you noticed that you don't stutter when you talk to me now?"

Succeeding in diverting her attention, Jasmine blushed. "Really...?"

Ethan smiled, ruffling Jasmine's hair. "Eat an apple, take a shower, and go to bed."

Jasmine lowered her head, afraid to look at Ethan.

He looked like a fairy. male fox fairy.

"I will be going to... report to Nolan Cunningham in two days," Jasmine cautiously spoke up.

Indeed, one jar had to be opened sooner or later.

Ethan's pressure instantly became extremely cold. "No, you can't."

"Ethan..." Jasmine whispered, apologizing with tearful eyes. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to help you. Nolan Cunningham could help you."

"Don't cry..." Ethan's heart tightened. He really couldn't bear to see Jasmine suffer even a bit.

"Will you agree?" Jasmine looked at Ethan with her reddened eyes.

It was hard not to agree.

At this moment, even if Jasmine asked Ethan to pick stars for her, he would do it.

"I have a condition," Ethan snorted. "I'll pick you up and drop you off for work."

Since he had been "evicted" from Stellar Enterprises by Howard, he had more free time.

"Ah?" Jasmine stuttered, her mouth agape.

What should she do if they were seen together?

"Don't agree?" Ethan narrowed his eyes.

"Well, okay then," Jasmine could only agree.

"Where do you want to go tomorrow?" Ethan wanted to take Jasmine out more.

"I, I have something to do tomorrow," Jasmine nervously raised her hand.

Ethan smiled. "What is it? Can you take me?"

chuckled softly.

She felt somewhat uncomfortable, he had been acting strange lately.

When did he start becoming so strange?

Her ears turned red, and Jasmine

Somehow, she didn't dislike it at all. Instead, she was a little bit happy.

"No, I can't take you," Jasmine rejected Ethan.

her heartstrings.

"Jasmine..." he embraced
tightly and tentatively spoke. "If someone who had hurt you in the past, it wasn't intentional and they didn't know they were hurting you, and years later they realized their mistake and apologize to you, would you... be able to forgive them?"

Jasmine's body stiffened, unsure of who Ethan was referring to.

She shook her head and cleared her throat. "Hurt is an established fact, it has become scarred memories. They don't deserve to be easily forgiven by me."

If she could easily forgive those who had hurt her, then all the suffering she had endured would have been justifiable.

"Sorry, that's the most hypocritical thing in this world," Jasmine softly spoke.

Since the harm had already been done, what meaning did an apology serve?held Jasmine's hand, stiff and motionless.

He dared not say anything...
Jasmine was carefully selecting her clothes in the closet.

Since Ethan had filled her closet, Jasmine had never dressed this seriously before.

Not even on her first day at Stellar Enterprises did she dress this seriously.

Sitting on the bed with melancholy, Ethan watched Jasmine meticulously choose her clothes.

She was dressing up like this just to be Nolan Cunningham's assistant?

"Ethan, is this outfit... good-looking?" Jasmine held up a beige dress and nervously asked for Ethan's opinion.

Ethan snorted. "Not good-looking."

Jasmine made a disappointed sound and turned to continue picking out clothes.

But weren't these clothes all bought by Ethan? Why did he suddenly find them not good-looking?

Wasn't he criticizing his own taste?
"So, where are you going and who are you meeting?" Ethan questioned with a serious tone, trapping Jasmine in his embrace from behind and biting her ear.

Jasmine's heart raced and she blushed as she spoke. "I... I'm going to attend a parent-teacher conference for Justin."

"A parent-teacher conference?" Ethan sighed with relief. "Then why didn't you bring me along?"

"No, I can't bring you. Only one parent is allowed to attend," Jasmine lied.

Today was clearly a parent's day, a day for parents to accompany their children.

Only children whose parents were both present could participate in activities and win prizes. Children whose fathers or mothers did not attend, or those with only one parent present, could only sit in the audience and watch.

Justin had been longing for this day for a long time, hoping that both his father and mother would participate.

Jasmine didn't expect Ethan to join, nor did she want to disappoint her son.

"In that case, wear the dress you just tried on. It looks good," Ethan said, with a smirk on his face.

Jasmine gasped.

How could it be bad-looking earlier and suddenly become good-looking?

Preschool.

Justin and Eric sat on small chairs, watching families come and go.

There was Casey, sitting all alone.

"Mom!"
"Mom!"

Justin and Eric both rushed into Jasmine's arms.

Jasmine smiled and rubbed the heads of the two little ones. "Is it about to start?"

"Not yet," Justin shook his head. "Mom, Casey's dad and mom can't come."

Jasmine sat on a little stool and brought Casey in front of her. "Auntie will sit here with you, alright?"

"Stepmom, won't Uncle come?" Casey innocently asked.

Jasmine hesitated and shook her head. "Your Uncle is busy."

Justin sat there feeling disappointed.

He really wanted to participate in Parent's Day.to attend. Parent's Day. Mom, you and my dad make a perfect pair," Eric happily patted his chest.

His father, Edgar, had also come to Silverlight City to attend Eric's Parent's Day.
Jasmine looked at Eric in surprise. "Your dad is coming?"

"Yeah, yeah," Eric grinned. "Dad said he wants to marry Mom."

"No way! Mom is my dad's!" Justin got angry.
Black-faced, he stood in front of Eric. "Don't steal my mom. Mom is Ethan"

"Your dad
doesn't even spend Parent's Day with you. My dad will, though. He said he will take good care of Mom and give her the best," Eric boasted about his dad .is also great. He will protect me and Mom. My dad is Superman!" Justin said angrily.

The two children started to argue.

"Oh, isn't this Jasmine? I heard she's been a mistress lately. She even ruined the marriage alliance between the Brown family and the Douglas family. You're quite something," said Justin's mom, who was also a member of Serena, Zelda, and their group.

Jasmine's former high school classmate.

"What's this? You came alone to accompany your child on Parent's Day? Where's your man? Hasn't that bastard recognized his own son yet? How pitiful," the woman sarcastically looked at Jasmine.

Parents gathered together and started gossiping about Jasmine, some even warned their husbands, "What are you looking at? She's just a fox who became a mistress for a man."

"Are you attracted to that fox? How dare you come to Parent's Day with a child from a wild man," the criticism against Jasmine grew around her.

"You're all talking nonsense. I have a dad. My dad will come. I'm going to call him!" Justin cried and wanted to call Ethan.

He didn't want Mom to be taken away by Eric's dad.

He wanted to tell his dad to come quickly and take Mom away.
