Chapter 460 Jasmine Wants Samuel to Join the Company
On the other end of the phone, Liam cautiously spoke, "Should I tell Mr. Douglas about this?"
Jasmine thought for a moment. "He's no longer your boss."
"Understood, Ms. Cunningham." Liam immediately showed his employee awareness.
Jasmine was amused by him. "Liam, Arnold is quite formidable. We should avoid making an enemy of him as much as possible."
"Okay," On the other end of the phone, Liam spoke even more cautiously.
He was well aware of his previous attitude and thoughts towards Jasmine.
Moreover, Ethan had done it on purpose, making him work for Jasmine as an assitant after being kicked out of the Douglas Group.
And Ethan's new startup shares were all Jasmine's, and even Ethan himself was actually working for Jasmine.
After hanging up the phone, Jasmine went to the cafeteria.
The girl named Desiree had taken a leave of absence after that day, and her fellows were also said to have taken sick leave.
Jasmine didn't pay much attention to those people. She trusted Nolan because he was measured.
Her identity as the daughter of the Cunningham family had not been revealed, and most of her classmates still just nodded in acquaintance, which was quite relaxing.
Sitting at the long table, Jasmine took a sip of the soup; it tasted pretty good.
She wondered why Amelia found it unpalatable.
After that day, Amelia hadn't come to school either. She asked the teacher. She said Amelia had caught a cold and taken sick leave.
Jasmine wanted to ask Nolan but figured the two couldn't be together, so she let it go.
"What’s your deal?" Suddenly, a deep voice came over.
Jasmine felt a shadow fall over her.
She looked up and saw it was Samuel.
She took another sip of soup and put down her spoon. "Hello, is there something you need?"
"What are you getting at?" Samuel frowned, sitting across from Jasmine. "You added me on Facebook and said nothing."
From his perspective, she had tried so many ways to add him on Facebook, yet hadn't said a word for so long.
"What should I say?" Jasmine didn't know how to respond momentarily.
"Don't tell me you went to all that trouble to add me on Facebook without a purpose." Samuel clearly didn't believe her.
"There's a purpose." Jasmine nodded.
Samuel raised an eyebrow. "I knew it."
He let out a cold laugh as he leaned back in his chair, looking at Jasmine. "Go on, then."
"Where have you decided to intern?" Jasmine looked at Samuel.
Samuel frowned. "What did you say?"
"I mean, where are you going to work during your internship?" Jasmine asked again.
Samuel looked at Jasmine, thinking she had some tactics. Knowing a direct confession would be rejected, she invited him to intern together. "That's none of your business. Wherever I'm going, you definitely can't get in."
"The teacher hoped we won't work for others for the rest of oue life, right? So, instead of choosing a big company, why not start our own business?" Jasmine tried to entice him. "What if we start our own business?"
"You've got guts, trying to rope me into starting a business." Samuel was shocked tha he found Jasmine was quite unique.
"Yes, when you're young, you should have the courage to take risks, especially men." Jasmine accurately grasped Samuel's mind.
He had a rather assertive personality and was a bit self-centered, which Jasmine could tell.
Samuel chuckled, finding Jasmine's approach to pursuing him rather unique and refined.
"Are you afraid? You don't need to invest." Jasmine probed.
Jasmine's cautious tone evidently had an effect. He asked, "Are you saying I'm afraid?"
"Yes, I asked a few guys in our class, and they all refused, afraid of losing. But I still think you're better than them. You have good grades. If we start a business together, we definitely won't lose. Besides, I already have a framework, and the company is running normally. If you're willing to join, we'll be the original shareholders." Jasmine pushed the introduction and details of Ethan's startup company to Samuel.
Samuel was taken aback. He had come to find Jasmine by chance today, but she was prepared. "Do you carry the company introduction with you all the time?"
Jasmine smiled. "I've approached several people, but I think they're not as good as you."
Samuel snorted arrogantly and glanced at the introduction. "This company..."
Jasmine looked at Samuel. "Is there any problem?"
"A company that's already running normally shouldn't lack partners. Why are you pulling me in?" Samuel's previous playful demeanor was replaced by an unprecedented seriousness.
"Our company is facing some difficulties right now. I need capable and visionary people to help me get through it. I don't just ask anyone; I want to work with you because of your excellent grades." Jasmine was equally serious. In business cooperation, although she was faced with difficulties, she must not lower her stance.
She knew Samuel was very talented. If they could collaborate, the chances of the company overcoming its difficulties would increase.
She didn't want to miss any opportunity that could help Ethan get through the tough times.
Samuel's family background could be helpful, and Jasmine also valued his abilities.
The school had awarded a century honor to only a dozen people, including Ethan and Samuel.
Jasmine had planned to compete for this honor before her junior year internship, but the incident of the real and fake daughters had come up unexpectedly.
Samuel raised an eyebrow. He waved the company introduction at Jasmine. "I'll take this. Let me think about it, but don't get your hopes up."
Samuel wasn't a fool. He might be a bit narcissistic, but he was cautious about entrepreneurial matters.
He had actually seen the company introduction before, recommended by his brother, but he hadn't been very interested at the time.
He hadn't expected it to be Jasmine's company.
Due to his family background, Samuel was unwilling to rely on his family, so he resisted whatever his family told him.
As he walked out of the cafeteria, his sidekick Ivan Wright rushed over. "Samuel, I've found the information you asked me to look up. This Jasmine Cunningham is actually the daughter of the Cunningham family. The news is tightly guarded, but yesterday those idiots like Desiree caused her trouble. It was Nolan who handled it, so I'm pretty sure."
Samuel frowned, looking at him. "I didn't expect you to have some value."
Ivan smiled, scratching his head. "But this Jasmine doesn't seem to want to rely on her family."
Otherwise, with the Cunningham family's background, she would be very arrogant at school.
Samuel remained silence for a long time, his face dark.
He threw the company introduction to Ivan and said in a deep voice, "Have you heard of this company? Check it out for me, immediately."
Ivan glanced at it, looking shocked. "I know this company. My dad originally had a partnership with them. But a few days ago, the partnership was snatched by the Douglas Group."
Ivan took a closer look. "You don't know, do you? The Douglas Group is now aggressively targeting this company for some unknown reason."
Samuel frowned. "If you don't know, go find out."
"Got it!" Ivan turned and went to the side.
