Chapter 845 Richard's Identity Revealed, Shocking Everyone
Ethan held the fuming Jasmine in his arms, raising an eyebrow. "Don't worry, just wait and see."
Jasmine also realized what was happening. "Mr. Sanders wants to bring Richard back into the Sanders family. Has he discussed it with Richard?"
Jasmine was worried that Richard might not agree.
"If he didn't agree, Arnold wouldn't have set this up." Ethan reassured Jasmine.
Jasmine breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the Willer family couple who were still muttering to themselves, waiting for them to embarrass themselves.
"Mr. Sanders, where is your son? Let us meet him." Someone who had a good relationship with Arnold looked around. Wasn't today supposed to be Arnold's son's welcome party? Why wasn't his son at the event?
"Mr. Sanders' son must be quite impressive." Priya said with a smile. "I wonder if he's married?"
Arnold looked at Priya and spoke meaningfully. "He is, and he has a daughter, who is very cute. I like her a lot."
Others were a bit disappointed. They had hoped to arrange a marriage with Arnold's son, but it turned out he was already married.
Priya was also a bit disappointed. "That's too bad. My niece is single, and she's quite good in all aspects. I was hoping for a possible marriage arrangement."
Abigai was also unhappy. How could Arnold's son be married already?
But even if he was married, she didn't care. She didn't believe there was anyone she couldn't seduce.
When Betty married Steven, the entire Willer family boasted about it. Abigai was both envious and jealous. Now that there was finally someone with a similar background to Steven, she certainly wouldn't let it go.
She had inquired beforehand that Arnold's son was only recently found and certainly wasn't raised in a wealthy family. He probably lacks discernment and insight. With her skills, she is confident she can seduce him.
Proudly lifting her chin, Abigai decided to go after Arnold's son.
"It's not really a pity." Arnold spoke meaningfully, gesturing to Richard. "Come, let everyone meet you."
All eyes turned in the direction Arnold gestured.
Today, Richard was wearing a suit personally chosen by Betty, and the tie was selected by her. He dressed very formally today to give his wife a sense of security.
As Richard slowly walked towards Arnold, everyone was shocked, especially Priya and Tara.
They exchanged glances, both having a bad feeling.
Sure enough, Richard walked up to Arnold.
"My son has always been very steady and low-key, so I never publicly revealed his identity. This is my only son, Caspian Sanders." Arnold introduced Richard grandly. "I hope everyone will take care of him in the future."
"Mr. Sanders' son is indeed impressive, truly outstanding." Someone already started praising him, adding a layer of glow to Richard with the filter of being Arnold's son.
This was reality.
Children of wealthy people seemed to be especially valued, even if they did nothing. Just standing there, they seem to be exemplary.
Feeling a bit ironic, Richard lowered his head and said nothing.
Over there, Priya couldn't hold back any longer and turned to Betty. "What's going on? Are you and Mr. Sanders putting on a show? This is too much. Richard is just a poor man, uneducated..."
"Dad, if you want to offend the Sanders family, the Cunningham family, and the Douglas family, you can continue to belittle Richard." Betty interrupted. "Richard is Arnold's son. You seem to forget that Arnold also came from a rural background. You only see his achievements now. When you belittle rural people and uneducated, rural-born Richard in front of him, did you ever consider his past?"
Priya's face turned ugly. This was truly self-inflicted.
Tara also panicked, feeling ashamed.
Who knew Richard was Arnold's son?
If they had known earlier, they would never have insulted Richard, especially in front of Arnold.
Now, they wished they could slap themselves.
The Willer Group was already struggling without Betty, and now they had offended so many people. They were bound to suffer.
"Betty, we didn't mean it that way." Tara tried to salvage the situation. "Please explain to Richard, we just want you to be happy."
Betty sneered. "Really? Want me to be happy? You were ruthless before."
Priya and Tara looked at each other nervously. What should they do?
They had no face to stay here any longer.
Over there, after Arnold introduced Richard, a large group of people surrounded him.
Now, in the eyes of these business people, Richard was someone worth currying favor with, given his connection to Arnold.
But he wasn't happy.
Betty knew he was very unhappy, but he did it for her.
With a helpless smile, Betty took a sip of champagne. Fool.
Priya and Tara gritted their teeth, wanting to say something, but seeing Betty ignoring them, they left to avoid embarrassment.
Over there, Abigai hadn't reacted yet. When she did, Priya and Tara were already gone.
She looked at Betty in shock.
"How can Richard be Arnold's son? You must be doing this on purpose." Abigai said through gritted teeth.
"Why are you still here? Get out." Betty looked at Abigai with disdain and had the bodyguards escort her out.
Abigai clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. "Betty, you get all the good things. If Richard really is Arnold's son, fine. If not, you'll be the one embarrassed."
With that, Abigai turned and left, not forgetting to look back at Richard and Arnold.
Indeed, the two looked very similar standing together.
Richard was Arnold's son? If she had known earlier, she would have treated him better and tried to win him over. Maybe he would have liked her.
Thinking this, Abigai gritted her teeth and left unwillingly.
She wouldn't give up so easily. Why should Betty get all the good things? Steven liked Betty, and Betty couldn't marry two men.
Over there, Steven narrowed his eyes and raised an eyebrow.
Richard turned out to be Arnold's son. It seemed the information his people gathered was inaccurate.
Return to inherit the family fortune was to inherit Arnold's fortune? No wonder he didn't want to be his bodyguard.
Indeed, Arnold's son had no need to risk his life following him.
Back then, during the three-month agreement, Richard could have used Arnold's name to refuse.
But he didn't.
Was he foolish or persistent?
He seemed to embody that stubbornness.
He loved Betty and was willing to do anything for her.
