Chapter 795 Amelia said the child is Nathaniel's
Amelia's body stiffened, her eyes red.
Regret?
How ridiculous.
"Nolan, let go of me. Your fiancée is next door. If you don't want her to find out, let go," Amelia struggled hard.
But she was naturally gentle and weak, unable to say anything harsh under Nolan's intimidation. Her angry appearance looked like a little kitten baring its teeth, with no deterrent effect at all.
Nolan found Amelia's angry look inexplicably cute.
He felt something was off. He used to think Amelia was childish, but now his eyes were always unconsciously drawn to her. "Are you jealous?"
Nolan's voice was hoarse, and his arms around Amelia tightened.
Feeling her slightly bulging belly, Nolan frowned, a bit unhappy. "I've been taking care of you for so many days without seeing you gain weight. How long have you been away from me, and you've already gained weight?"
She even had a little belly now, which was quite cute.
Amelia was always driven to tears by Nolan, her eyes red and trying hard to push him away. "Nolan, don't go too far."
"We're not engaged yet. Our families just agreed to let us spend some time together to see if we're suitable. We're still friends, so we live in separate rooms," Nolan explained hoarsely, leaning tiredly on Amelia's shoulder. "Amelia, I regret it. Come back with me, I'll take care of you."
"Like how you keep a cat, in a cage, without its own life and work, right?" Amelia questioned.
Her little cat was still in the pet hospital because it escaped from the cage and was bullied by stray cats outside, breaking its leg. It was still receiving treatment.
"You don't have to work or do anything. I can afford to take care of you," Nolan thought Amelia didn't want to work. His way of thinking was always on a different level compared to normal people.
He thought maybe a girl like Amelia just liked to go shop or something like this..
With his ability, he could completely afford to take care of her.
But Amelia didn't think so. She thought Nolan was like keeping a mistress, without any human rights. "In what capacity am I being kept by you? As a lover, a mistress, or something even less than that?"
Nolan was silent. Amelia's question made him consider for the first time what kind of status he should give her.
He had never thought about it before because he always felt there would be no further interaction with Amelia.
But after losing her for a while, he felt that taking care of her for a lifetime wouldn't be too difficult.
But in what capacity?
How about marriage?
Obviously, a marriage with Amelia had no benefits or value.
Nolan was used to considering everything from a benefit perspective, so he never thought about marrying Amelia.
But now, he was surprised at himself for even considering marrying her.
Seeing Nolan not speaking, Amelia sneered and tried to push him away.
But Nolan didn't let go, and she couldn't break free.
"Don't make a fuss. I'm a bit tired and just want to hold you," Nolan still thought Amelia was just throwing a tantrum. He didn't believe she would completely change her dependence on him in such a short time.
Amelia used to cry and beg him not to abandon her.
But he didn't know he had already lost her.
Amelia slapped him. "Let go of me!"
Her eyes were red, and she was trembling with anger. "Mr. Cunningham, if you continue, I'll call the police and accuse you of harassment."
Nolan frowned, seemingly not expecting Amelia to dare hit him.
He reached out, held Amelia's head, and kissed her.
"Nolan, let go of me," Amelia panicked. Nolan was clearly suppressing his desire.
Outside the door, there was a knock. "Nolan, are you asleep? Should we talk about the engagement?"
Outside was Elaine.
Amelia's eyes reddened even more, looking at the door in panic, afraid of being discovered.
Nolan frowned, his face not looking good, clearly unhappy about being interrupted.
"I'm asleep," he said in a deep voice.
Outside, Elaine was a bit embarrassed. "Then rest well. We'll talk tomorrow."
Hearing the footsteps fade away, Amelia breathed a sigh of relief.
She wanted to hit Nolan again, but he pinned her hands against the wall.
"Nolan... I'm pregnant!" Amelia cried, saying she was pregnant.
Nolan's movements stiffened, he thought Amelia was lying. "You still love to lie."
"The doctor said it would be hard for me to get pregnant, but this child is a miracle for me," Amelia took the opportunity to push Nolan away.
"whose child it is?" Nolan's face was very pale, looking down at Amelia.
Amelia was silent for a long time before speaking. "It's Nathaniel's. After I left you, we got together. If you don't believe me, you can have your people check."
Nolan's body stiffened severely. He had indeed found out that when Amelia first came to Sunrise City, Nathaniel had taken some time to come to Sunrise City for a few days just to help Amelia.
Nolan sneered. He had been thinking about her all this time, regretting letting her go.
But she had already gotten together with Nathaniel and had a child.
His eyes darkened, and he irritably tugged at his tie.
Amelia took the opportunity to escape.
This time, Nolan didn't stop her.
Since she was already with Nathaniel and had a child, he indeed had no reason to continue entangling with her.
Amelia wasn't like her father, Lawrence, who had committed heinous crimes. He didn't need to drive her to the end.
But for some reason, he very uncomfortable, thinking about Amelia being pregnant with someone else's child, he was jealous to the point of madness.
But clearly, Amelia had been pregnant with his child before, and he was the one who didn't want it and made her abort it. What right did he have to be jealous now?
Outside the door, Amelia almost ran away, panicking to the point of nearly falling down the stairs.
Why did Nolan still come to bother her?
She had already escaped.
Why did he still appear?
Watching Amelia leave, Elaine, who had been standing at the door without going in, frowned.
Sure enough, the relationship between Amelia and Nolan was not as simple as a creditor and debtor.
Taking out her phone, Elaine called her assistant. "Help me investigate the owner of Moon Bay Inn, named Amelia. Check her relationship with Nolan. Don't alert Nolan."
Hanging up the phone, her expression was complicated.
For a socialite from a prestigious family, finding a man who was satisfactory in all aspects was too difficult. She rarely had the chance to date a man like Nolan, who was excellent in all aspects and satisfied her. She didn't want to let go so easily.
