Chapter 10 Mistress's Scheme Is Exposed

Someone gave her a thumbs up, admiration on their face. "Professor. Watson, you really have a way with things."

A child as difficult as Randy was now taken care of. They could only say these words silently to themselves, not daring to say them out loud.

Patricia caressed his head, with a face filled with affection. "He's so well-behaved and obedient, quite likable, isn't he?"

The atmosphere immediately froze. Everyone's expressions remained fixed, as only Professor. Watson said that he was well-behaved and obedient. Those words didn’t match with Randy at all, did they? He was a complete little devil.

Seeing that no one was speaking, Patricia approached her desk, had Randy sit obediently on her lap, and began prescribing medication on the computer. Randy sat quietly; his eyes curiously fixated on the computer screen.

Suddenly, a pair of hands blocked his line of sight, followed by Patricia's gentle voice by his ear. "Children shouldn't stare at computer screens; it's not good for their eyes."

As soon as her words fell, everyone at the scene gasped in shock, secretly breaking out in cold sweat for her. Noone spoke to Randy like this, Professor. Watson was undoubtedly the first person.

They all believed that there would be a brutal scene to follow. Even Debbie, was prepared for Randy's outburst. After all, Randy was known for his explosive temper, smashing and throwing things at the slightest dissatisfaction. Even Martin couldn't handle him.

However, what everyone didn't expect was that Randy not only didn't get angry, but he even obediently buried his head in Patricia's embrace, softly responding, "Oh!"

Just a simple word, and it even carried a hint of pleasure. His mood was clearly different from his norm, it seemed to actually be quite good.

Everyone was dumbfounded, shocked as if they had witnessed something unimaginable. They could hardly believe that this was the same terrifying Randy who everyone used to avoid.

Suddenly, someone teased, "Professor. Brown, look at you. As the aunt, you can't even compare to a newcomer."

This unintentional jest immediately made Debbie blush. Not to be shown up by Patricia, she walked over to Patricia and reached out to hold Randy.

"Randy, Professor. Watson needs to prescribe medicine. It's not convenient for you to sit on her, so come to your aunt for now. You can go over to Professor. Watson when she is done."

To her surprise, as soon as her hand touched Randy, he shook her off excitedly, without any mercy, and shouted, "Don't touch me! I want her, only her! Get out of here..."

His resistance was extremely embarrassing for Debbie, it made her want to bury her head in the sand like an ostrich.

Afraid that his emotions, which had just stabilized, would spiral out of control again, Patricia quickly held him closer, saying, "No need, he can sit on my lap."

Debbie pulled her hand back in frustration. She could feel a more intriguing gaze from everyone present. Almost all the doctors, in the hospital, were there. She felt completely humiliated, and her hatred for Patricia and Randy deepened.

After finishing the prescription, disregarding the inquisitive looks of others, Patricia carried Randy back to the ward. Since mother and son, had been introduced to each other, Martin had become completely invisible.

Randy stayed with Patricia the whole day. He would be held by her when receiving injections, fed by her during meals, and even when using the restroom, he needed her company.

Martin's heart was full of jealousy. The little boy, who had never taken a nap before, fell asleep on Patricia for the first time, gripping her clothes tightly, afraid that she would leave.

Patricia struggled forcefully but failed to release her clothes from his grasp. Deciding not to fight it, she let him hold on. Martin finally found an opportunity and, taking a deep breath, expressed his jealousy.

"I've raised him for so many years, but I'm not even half as important to him as you are."

Patricia glared at him and said speechlessly, "How childish!"

Martin stared at Randy's hand firmly gripping Patricia's clothes, finding it more and more irritating to look at.

Noticing his gaze, Patricia smiled wryly and said, "Randy was carried in my womb for ten months, he's a piece of flesh that fell from my body. When I was pregnant, I talked to him and told him stories every day. And you, you only contributed sperm."

Martin was rendered speechless by the retort, and he kept quiet. But inside, he felt even more suffocated. Seeing his unpleasant expression, Patricia's mood improved slightly.

She glanced at the sky outside, then checked the time on her phone. "It's four o'clock, time for me to leave!"

Charles and Fannie finished school at five o'clock. It would take her half an hour to get from the hospital to the kindergarten, and another half an hour to buy groceries, just in time.

Upon hearing that she was leaving, Martin's face instantly turned grim. The scene of the little devil waking up unable to see her flashed in his mind, making him shudder. Martin shivered. He was truly worn out by this little trouble-maker.

Sensing his concerns, Patricia said, "If he wakes up and looks for me, have him video call me! I'll talk to him."

After speaking, she took out her phone and asked, "Does Randy have a phone or a watch with a phone function?"

Martin, with a grim expression, rummaged through a drawer and found a watch phone, only to discover that it had been smashed by the little rascal. With no other choice, the two of them added each other on WhatsApp.

When it seemed that the little trouble-maker had entered a deep sleep. When Patricia went to release her clothes, he let go with a gentle pull and she covered him with the quilt. After giving him one last glance, she reluctantly left.

Once she changed into casual attire, Patricia arrived at the parking lot. Just as she opened the car door, a hand suddenly swatted it shut. Patricia followed the arm with her gaze to see Debbie's grim and contorted face.

An alarm went off in Patricia's mind. She calmly glanced at the surveillance camera nearby and smiled, pursing her lips. "My dear 'sister,' may I ask what important matter has led you to obstruct me?"

The emphasis on the word 'sister' was biting, openly revealing disdain and mockery. Reminding Debbie of her own background, making her face even uglier.

"You left, why have you come back? Isn't it better to stay abroad? Why did you return and try to take Martin and Randy from me?"

Patricia sneered, "I'm not interested in Martin. If you want him, go ahead, I won't compete with you. But Randy is my son. Why do you think he belongs to you?"

Debbie suddenly became agitated, gripping Patricia's arm tightly and shaking her forcefully. "It was me who took care of him when you were gone, even giving up my dreams to study medicine. I've put in so much more effort than you. Why do you come back and dismiss all my efforts?"

Patricia couldn't help but laugh at her words. "Are you doing it for him or to please Martin? You know it well yourself, don't pretend to be so noble, okay?"

Her thoughts exposed, Debbie's eyes flitted with a hint of embarrassment, and all the words in her mind lost their conviction. Just then, Martin appeared from behind Patricia. An evil scheme surfaced in his mind.

With a wicked grin on his lips, she grabbed Patricia's hand and exclaimed, "Patricia, let go of me! Where are you taking me? I don't want to go..."

As soon as she finished speaking, she released her hand, causing her body to fall backwards. Her palms hit the ground first, making her gasp in pain. From Martin's perspective, it appeared as if Patricia had pushed Debbie down.
