Chapter 872 Is She Hunter's Wife?

Every bit of info in there was all about their family.

From their game plan on how to get close to the Langley family, to breaking down every Langley member, and finally deciding to go after Randy first.

Why Randy? 'Cause he was the most gullible, the easiest to trick, and the one they had the best shot with.

From the moment Andrea first approached Randy, to catching his eye, falling in love, and then getting engaged. Andrea spilled everything to her mom in detail.

She even snitched on every move the Langley family made.

When he found out the truth, he was so mad he was shaking.

Right then, another message from her mom popped up.

Andrea's mom: [Meet at the usual spot at noon tomorrow. If you don't show, I'll come to the Langley house to find you.]

Martin stared hard at that message.

Less than a minute later, Andrea replied.

Andrea: [I'll be there on time. Don't come to the Langley house and blow my cover. All our years of planning will go down the drain, and it won't help you at all.]

Andrea's mom: [Behave, and I won't do anything dumb.]

Andrea didn't text back.

Charles waited a bit, saw that Andrea wasn't gonna reply, then logged out and shut the laptop.

The next day, Andrea made up some random excuse and got ready to meet her mom.

Charles slipped a tracker in her bag. After she left, he tailed her from a safe distance.

Andrea and her mom planned to meet on the rooftop of Sky Plaza.

Her mom, Ellen Morrison, was all covered up with a hat and mask, only her eyes showing.

Andrea had her back to him, but he could see Ellen clear as day.

As soon as they met, Ellen pulled out a white pill bottle and handed it to Andrea, "This pill's custom-made. Drop one in Randy's tea every day. If that doesn't work, grind it up and sprinkle it in his room. It's colorless and tasteless; he won't notice."

Andrea looked at the pill bottle in her hand, "What's this?"

Ellen snapped, "Don't worry about it, just do what I say!"

Seeing Andrea hesitate, Ellen frowned and sneered, "What? Having second thoughts? Don't forget why you went after Randy in the first place. Who gave you life! Your dad and I did, and Martin killed him. You need to avenge him."

Andrea got emotional, her voice rising, "I know, you don't have to remind me every time!"

Ellen glared at Andrea with a look that could kill, like a snake ready to strike.

Ellen asked, "Have you fallen for Randy?"

Andrea instinctively denied, "No!"

Ellen sneered, "Better not! Remember, Randy's the enemy's kid. You can't fall for him."

Andrea bit her lip, looked down, and stayed quiet.

Ellen reminded her again, "The whole Langley family deserves to die, one by one. I'll personally take them all out."

Andrea had enough and said, "I get it. Anything else? If not, I'm out."

Ellen spat, "Remember, they all deserve to die. You can't fall for Randy, no way."

Andrea didn't say a word and turned to leave.

But Charles blocked her at the door.

Her face went pale instantly. Feeling guilty, she momentarily mistook Charles for Randy and anxiously grabbed his hand, trying to explain.

"Randy, let me explain," Andrea pleaded.

Charles looked at her coldly, shaking off her hand in disgust, "I'm not Randy."

His voice, though similar to Randy's, was colder and more impatient.

Randy always spoke to her gently and patiently, never like this.

Andrea immediately recognized that the person in front of her was Charles and anxiously said, "Charles, let me explain. I..."

Charles cut her off, "No need to explain! I heard everything."

Andrea felt dizzy, her legs weak, and staggered back a few steps.

Ellen pulled out a fruit knife from her bag and walked towards Charles, eyes filled with murderous intent.

Ellen sneered, "Since you're here, perfect! I don't need to find you later. Today, you won't leave here alive."

Charles looked at her mockingly, like she was a joke.

"Just you?" he scoffed.

Without another word, he waved his hand, and a group of people suddenly emerged from behind the door.

Ellen and Andrea were startled.

"Arrest them all!" Charles ordered coldly.

"Charles, you bastard, you're just like your parents, all scum, all deserve to die," Ellen panicked, cursing and trying to escape.

Charles's lips curled in disdain, ignoring her curses as if he hadn't heard them.

Andrea, both scared and panicked, cried and explained, "Charles, I love Randy. I would never hurt him. I want to be with him. We truly love each other."

Charles looked at her coldly, "True love? How do you prove that? With that bottle of poison in your hand?"

Andrea's face turned deathly pale, her lips trembling.

Charles had no patience for her excuses and ordered his men, "Arrest her and await my orders."

Fortunately, he had a backup plan.

Otherwise, things wouldn't have gone so smoothly.

Andrea didn't resist and was successfully restrained.

At this moment, the fleeing Ellen was also captured.

She continued to curse, "Charles, you deserve to die. Your whole family deserves to die. If I ever catch you, I'll skin you, eat your flesh, and drink your blood."

Only the powerless resorted to cursing.

Charles glanced at her contemptuously, signaling his men to remove Ellen's mask and hat.

Seeing them about to remove her hat and mask, Ellen became agitated, shaking her head and resisting.

Andrea, feeling distressed, said, "Don't hurt my mother. Come at me if you have a problem."

Charles ignored her, stepped forward, and yanked off Ellen's mask.

As her face was exposed to the sunlight, everyone present, except Andrea, gasped.

Ellen's face was uneven, with no intact area except her eyes.

Her wig fell to the ground with her hat, revealing sparse hair.

She was so badly disfigured that Charles couldn't recognize her or figure out who her husband was. She said her husband was killed by Martin.

"Who is your husband?" Charles asked.

In his memory, although Martin was ruthless in business, causing many to go bankrupt, he had never killed anyone.

The only person he had killed was Hunter.

But Hunter wasn't married!
