Chapter 1194 Tina Betrays Austin

Tina thought this woman was absolutely terrifying.

She had them completely under her control.

But why? Why was she working with Austin? Why was she helping him? What did she want from Austin?

As soon as the questions popped into her mind, Tina voiced them. "Why are you helping us? What's your goal? What do you want us to do for you? Or what do you want from us?"

Her questions reminded Austin.

All this time, he only knew that this person had been helping them from the shadows, sending them information, but he had never seen her.

He had never asked her about her motives. "Tina's right. What's your goal? Why do you keep helping us?"

Previously, this woman had always been in contact with Charlotte.

They had barely spoken a few times.

He had never really thought about why she was helping them.

At the time, all he cared about was being with Hannah. Nothing else mattered.

The woman's eyes flashed with admiration for Tina. "You're very clever! You think things through thoroughly."

She paused, took a deep breath, and continued, "But my motives are none of your concern. They have nothing to do with you!"

Tina stepped forward, positioning herself between Austin and the woman, and said warily, "If you don't tell us your motives, how do we know if we should keep working with you? We've suffered heavy losses in our recent collaborations, while you've come out unscathed! What if you're pretending to help us just to harm us?"

The woman couldn't help but applaud Tina's vivid imagination. "Whether you trust me or not doesn't matter! What matters is that right now, I'm the only one you can trust, the only one you can rely on! I'm the only one who can get Charlotte out of Charles's grasp! And I'm the only one who can get Violet out.

Think it over. Do you want to keep working with me, or do you want to part ways?"

Tina wanted to stop her.

But before she could speak, Austin had already eagerly agreed. "You can really get Charlotte and Violet out?"

The woman raised an eyebrow and said confidently, "If I say I can, then I can!"

Tina was immediately anxious. "Austin, we need to think this through! We don't even know her motives, and you're agreeing so hastily! What if it's a trap?

We barely escaped; we can't fall back in."

The woman didn't push them. "Think it over. If you want my help, call me anytime."

With that, she turned to leave. "I've been out too long. I need to go back! I'm giving you plenty of time to think."

Seeing her about to leave, Tina gritted her teeth and suddenly rushed forward, yanking off the woman's hat and sunglasses without a word.

The woman's long hair cascaded down.

Revealing a pair of shrewd, calculating eyes.

Realizing her disguise had been torn off, the woman's face changed dramatically. She turned sharply to Tina. "What are you doing?"

Tina didn't answer, reaching to pull off her mask. "Why should you know everything about us while we don't even know what you look like? If we're going to work together, we should be honest with each other! Let me see your face."

The woman was terrified her mask would be pulled off too.

If that happened, she would be completely exposed. She cried out and ran towards the stairs.

Tina wasn't about to let her go, chasing after her and grabbing her arm from behind to stop her from leaving.

Austin was stunned by Tina's sudden action. By the time he reacted, the two women were already grappling with each other.

Austin quickly stepped forward to pull Tina away. "What are you doing?"

At the same time, orderly footsteps echoed from the stairwell.

Tina let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "It's over!"

Austin was taken aback, clearly not understanding what she meant. "Over? What's over?"

As soon as he spoke, the woman who had just run off returned, her face full of shock and disbelief as she looked at Austin and Tina. "You two teamed up with Charles to set me up?"

Austin instinctively denied it. "Nonsense, I would never team up with Charles!"

She pointed at the black-clad bodyguards flooding in from the stairwell, furious. "Then where did these people come from?"

At that moment, Austin finally realized something was wrong.

Even then, he never suspected Tina. Instead, he blamed the woman. "It wasn't me! I just escaped from Charles. How could I work with him? Was it you? Did you expose our location, leading Charles to us?"

The woman shrieked in denial. "Impossible! I was so careful. How could I be discovered?"

"Then how were we discovered?"

The two of them argued back and forth.

But Charles didn't give them much time to argue.

Once the bodyguards surrounded Austin, the woman, and Tina, he stepped out from behind them.

With him were Martin and Carter.

Upon seeing Carter, the woman immediately turned around, trying to hide, afraid of being recognized.

Austin didn't know what came over him. The moment he saw Charles, he pulled Tina behind him to protect her. "Charles, your grudge is with me. Tina is innocent. Everything she did was under my orders! Let her go, and I'll go back with you."

Tina's heart warmed. Looking at Austin's back, her nose tingled, and her eyes welled up.

So, she did mean something to him after all.

He still cared about her.

At least in times of danger, he would protect her.

That was enough.

Unfortunately, she ultimately let him down.

Tina stepped out from behind Austin and walked up to Charles, speaking calmly. "You promised me that if I helped you lure them out, you would let Austin go! I've done what you asked! Can Austin and I leave now?"

Austin was stunned, looking at Tina in disbelief, "Tina, you betrayed me?"

He never thought Tina would betray him.

She was the person he trusted the most!

Tina removed her hat, mask, and sunglasses, looking at Austin with guilt and self-reproach. "Austin, I'm sorry! I did this to save you, to stop you from making more mistakes!"

No matter what she said, Austin's mind was filled with one thought that Tina betrayed him.

"No wonder, no wonder you insisted on meeting her outside! No wonder you urged me to return to Sunset Bay! No wonder you chose this meeting place! No wonder, no wonder."

He really was the biggest fool in the world.

Even just now, he still trusted her, never suspecting that Charles's appearance here was because of her betrayal.

His heart ached inexplicably.

It felt like someone was stabbing it with a needle, over and over.

The pain spread through his body, carried by his blood.

The woman finally realized she had been tricked. She forgot about hiding and turned around, furious, ready to attack Tina. "You bitch, I helped you out of kindness, and you betrayed me!"

At that moment, her face was exposed to everyone.

Seeing her face, Carter gasped.

It was really her!

Even with the mask, he recognized her immediately.
