Chapter 1068 A Good Start
Hannah finished her shower and lay on the soft bed. She didn't know if it was because of the change in environment or because she was no longer spending the night in the hospital, but she was surprisingly suffering from insomnia.
The white moonlight poured in through the glass window.
She lay on her back, staring at the ceiling fan, and Charles's face unconsciously appeared in her mind.
His gentleness, his patience, his pampering, his compliance, everything about him. Thinking of Charles, the warmth that had finally faded from her face returned.
She couldn't help but touch her face. Did just thinking about Charles make her blush? Her heart started pounding again.
She didn't know when or how she fell asleep, only that before she did, her mind was full of Charles, and even in her dreams, he was there.
In her dream, a woman who looked exactly like her entered the house by inputting the door code, as if it were her own home. She changed her shoes and tiptoed to the kitchen.
Charles was wearing an apron, standing by the stove, cooking.
The woman tiptoed to the counter, picked up a fruit knife, and quietly approached Charles from behind. She pressed the knife tip against his lower back and said in a deliberately low voice, "This is a robbery. Hand over all the valuables in the house, or I won't be merciful with this knife."
Charles suppressed a smile and pretended to be scared. "The most valuable thing in my house is my girlfriend. In my heart, she is priceless! You can kill me, but I won't give her to you."
The woman behind him almost burst out laughing but managed to hold it in. "You're trying to fool me! There are so many women in the world. If you lose one girlfriend, you can find a second or third. How is she priceless?"
Charles played along, saying affectionately, "She is my treasure! Without her, I could never love another woman in this lifetime. How is she not priceless?"
The blatant sweet talk made the woman behind him blush, even her ears turned red.
She finally put down the fruit knife, pouting, "Sweet talker, who knows how many women you've said this to?"
With the knife no longer at his back, Charles immediately turned around, placed his hands under her arms, lifted her up, and set her on the clean and tidy counter.
"You won't know if it's sweet until you taste it!" With that, he kissed her without hesitation. While kissing, he reached back to turn off the stove.
The woman wrapped her arms around Charles's neck, passionately responding to his kiss.
They kissed deeply, their breaths mingling.
As Hannah dreamed of this scene, a sweet smile unconsciously appeared on her face, full of contentment.
The scene quickly changed.
The woman who looked exactly like her and Stella walked to a dormitory building. Suddenly, a man appeared in front of the woman with a bouquet of roses, confessing his love.
A crowd gathered around them. At that moment, Charles appeared, declaring to everyone that the woman was his girlfriend.
Charles and the woman held hands tightly, their happiness almost overflowing from their eyes.
Hannah spent the entire night dreaming. All of it was about the woman who looked exactly like her and Charles's moments together.
When she woke up, Hannah lay on the bed in a daze, feeling disoriented for a moment. She couldn't help but press her temples, her heart inexplicably racing.
Why did she dream of so many things she had never experienced? In almost every scene, she was kissing Charles. Was she sick?
Just as Hannah was puzzled, there was a knock on the door, followed by it opening. Stella poked her head in, and seeing that Hannah was awake, she fully opened the door and walked in.
"Hannah, you're awake? Get up quickly! After breakfast, I'll take you to a great place."
"Where to?" Hannah wasn't particularly interested.
After dreaming all night, she just felt a headache, groggy, and very sleepy.
Stella pulled her out of bed and pushed her towards the bathroom. "You'll know when we get there! Hurry up and wash up. I'll put your clothes on the bed. Change after you're done."
Hannah was pushed out of the room, and the sound of the TV came from the living room. It seemed to be broadcasting financial news.
As the thought crossed her mind, she saw Charles, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, walking towards her. "You're awake? Breakfast is almost ready. Go wash up and then come eat."
Hannah looked at him in surprise. "You cooked?"
Charles nodded. "Yes! Hurry up and wash up, it's almost done."
Maybe after eating his food, Hannah would remember more. So he got up early today, went out to buy groceries, and cooked himself.
"Okay!" Hannah nodded blankly. After washing up, she changed into clean clothes and came out to find the food already on the table.
Stella, Charles, and Randy were watching TV. When they saw her, they got up from the couch and walked to the dining table.
As Charles passed by Hannah, he patted her shoulder and asked gently, "Hungry? Come eat."
Hannah nodded obediently.
At the dining table, Stella and Randy naturally sat on one side. Hannah and Charles naturally sat on the other side.
Hannah was surprised to find that the table was full of her favorite dishes.
She habitually bit her utensils and asked Charles, "How did you know I like these things?"
Charles smiled mysteriously and didn't answer, "If you like it, eat more."
No matter how much a person changed, their habits didn't. Even if Hannah didn't remember them, many things about her were still the same, like her taste in food. He had noticed this when she was hospitalized in Country H.
Charles put a piece of meat on Hannah's plate. "Try it and see how it tastes."
Hannah nodded, took a bite, and immediately exclaimed, "It's delicious! The seasoning is just right! The meat is tender, perfectly cooked."
It was exactly to her taste. Seeing her smile, Charles couldn't help but smile too, his eyes full of tenderness.
"If you like it, eat more!" After all, no one knew Hannah's taste better than he did.
Hannah nodded. Although she hadn't been very hungry, she suddenly felt ravenous and started eating voraciously.
Stella leaned over to Randy and whispered excitedly, "Did you notice? Since yesterday, she hasn't mentioned Tina once."
If it were before, in the hospital, Hannah would mention Tina in every sentence. It made them seem like a couple.
Randy nodded, indicating he had noticed. Not just him, Charles must have noticed too!
It seemed that Tina's hypnosis wasn't unbreakable. Maybe one day, Hannah would regain all her memories with Charles.
