Chapter 803 Reunion

Patricia and Martin hung out in Country D for a few days before heading back.

D University asked Charles to give the graduation speech for the seniors.

His success was legendary at any school, and he’d been invited before but always said no.

This time, though, the school got Stella to convince him.

Everyone knew Charles and Stella were cousins.

Out of respect for Stella, Charles agreed and set aside half a day for the graduation.

In the resting room, the principal handed Charles a document, "Mr. Watson, here's the speech draft. If you have time, please review it."

Charles skimmed through the draft.

The school really valued him.

They detailed all of Charles's impressive achievements.

The principal said, "Our journalism students will interview you. We've briefed them, and the interview will be based on the speech."

Charles replied, "Got it. Thanks!"

The principal asked, "Want to rehearse now?"

Charles waved him off, "No need! You can go. I need some quiet time."

He'd been up until 2 a.m., slept less than five hours, and then rushed to D University.

"Alright! Rest well. The speech is in about half an hour. I'll come get you then."

The principal, not wanting to upset Charles, quickly left.

Charles skimmed the speech draft again, then rested his head on one hand and closed his eyes.

Suddenly, he heard whispers outside the door.

"Stella, sneaking in isn't right! What if we get caught?"

"What are you scared of? He's my cousin. He spoils me. It'll be fine."

"But we can't just sneak in! The principal said your cousin is resting and no one should disturb him!"

"That was for you, not me!"

The conversation stopped.

Then, Charles heard the door lock turn.

"Stella, don't go in, Stella."

At the same time, Charles opened his eyes and saw Stella waving from the door, "Come in, don't be scared. My cousin is nice, just a bit cold, sarcastic, and moody. Other than that, he's perfect."

Charles was puzzled.

The person outside seemed startled and didn't speak for a moment before saying, "No, I'm leaving."

"Hannah, Hannah."

Stella tried to call Hannah back but couldn't.

So, this girl was Hannah.

Through the door crack, Charles only saw Hannah's back.

She was about 5.6 feet tall, slightly shorter than Stella, with a slender figure, thick hair in a high ponytail, and wearing a white short-sleeved knee-length dress.

Hannah left.

Stella was about to leave too but noticed Charles was awake and looking at her.

Stella playfully stuck out her tongue and gave Charles a sweet smile.

Stella had the best traits of Maximilian and Carol, with a slender, graceful figure and a very pretty, cute face. When she smiled, dimples appeared, making her look sweet as honey.

"Charles, you're awake? Did I wake you?" Stella asked.

Charles raised an eyebrow, "What do you want?"

Stella sat beside him, linking her arm with his, and smiled, "I missed you, so I wanted to see you early. Nervous about your first speech?"

Charles didn't answer.

Under Charles's sharp gaze, Stella held out for a few seconds before giving in, laughing awkwardly, "Alright! I admit, I wanted to introduce Hannah to you!"

"Charles, let me tell you, she looks just like Violet! Even though you've lost Sister Violet, we can find someone similar! Trust me, you'll like her once you see her!"

Even though Hannah said she had a fiancé, Stella believed in Charles's charm and was sure he could win Hannah over. Having her best friend as her cousin-in-law would be awesome!

Charles gave a dry smile, "If you try this again, I'll cancel Hannah's internship at our company."

Stella immediately backed down, "No, please don't! Interning at your company is Hannah's dream. If it's canceled because of me, she'll hate me."

Charles raised his left wrist and tapped his watch with his right index finger.

Stella got the hint, raised her hands, and backed off, grumbling, "OK, OK! I'm leaving. You're just like Martin, so serious, like an old man."

She stepped out and even closed the door behind her.

Charles shook his head with a smile.

He hadn't seen Stella much during their childhood.

Later, when he studied abroad in Country D, Maximilian made him stay with the Reed family. Stella, being lively, always clung to him, and they grew close over time.

Over the years, he treated Stella like a younger sister, doting on her.

Thanks to Stella's little interruption, Charles's rest time flew by. The principal and his assistant, Wyatt Mitchell, came to get him ten minutes early.

Surrounded by school leaders, Charles arrived at the largest auditorium.

The place could hold three thousand people.

The first floor had 1,322 seats, the second floor 1,011, and the third floor 500, with 177 seats on the podium.

Knowing Charles was giving a speech, the graduating seniors and many underclassmen packed the place.

Besides the school leaders, the podium had journalism students who would interview Charles after his speech.

Standing at the podium, Charles introduced himself and began his speech.

He didn't follow the principal's draft but spoke freely about his efforts, achievements, and how D University contributed to his growth.

The speech was captivating.

Everyone watched him intently.

Hannah and Stella were both from the journalism department.

Hannah was mesmerized, looking at him with admiration, and whispered to Stella, "Your cousin is amazing. Even though I knew about his achievements, hearing him speak in person is incredible. He's so capable, winning so many awards at such a young age and starting his own company. At just twenty-five, he's already in the top ten richest people globally and has the most successful mobile game company."

Stella puffed out her chest proudly, "Of course! All five kids in my cousin's family are amazing! Especially Charles, his achievements are the greatest! I told you before to let me introduce him to you so you could be my cousin-in-law, but you disagreed!"

Hannah blushed and glared at her, "I told you, I have a fiancé! We have a great relationship!"

Stella pouted, "You'll regret it someday!"

Hannah didn't respond.

She didn't know what to say.

Their conversation was quiet, but with Charles's keen hearing, he caught their voices and instinctively looked in their direction.

His gaze first landed on Stella, then moved to Hannah.

Initially, it was just a quick glance.

But the next second, his gaze returned, and upon seeing Hannah's face clearly, his pupils widened in shock, filled with disbelief.
