Chapter 112 The Langley Family Wants to Take Charles Away
After leaving the Langley Group, Debbie headed directly to the Langley Mansion.
Martha had gone out shopping, and Samuel had planned to go golfing with some old friends. He was holding his golf club, about to leave, when he bumped into Debbie at the doorstep.
At first, Samuel didn't recognize Debbie and stared at her for quite a while before finally realizing who she was. "Is that you? Debbie? What brings you here?"
If he remembered correctly, his son Martin had already broken off his engagement with her.
Debbie forced herself to smile, despite the pain. "I've come to tell you some good news."
Samuel had heard about her actions and had a feeling that her visit today wasn't for a good reason. He replied, "We're not acquainted, so if you have any news, tell Martin directly. I'm not interested in knowing."
A glint of malice flashed in Debbie's eyes. "This matter concerns the Langley family. I believe you must be very curious to know! If I don't tell you, Martin will keep it from you forever. I can't bear to see you left in the dark."
Having maneuvered in the business world, Samuel could see through her schemes with just one glance. Chuckling, he said, "If Martin doesn't want me to know, there must be a reason. I also don't want to know. You should go back; I'm pressed for time."
Debbie laid her cards on the table. "It's about your grandson. Don't you want to know either?"
"Grandson?" Samuel furrowed his brows. "Randy?"
Debbie shook her head, proudly stating, "You have more than just Randy as your grandson."
"What do you mean? Does Martin have another illegitimate child?" Suddenly, he remembered the little girl who caused the chaos at the press conference and narrowed his sharp gaze. "Is it that girl named Fannie?”
"Is she Martin’s little girl?"
Debbie smiled mysteriously, "Of course not! I'm talking about the grandson, not the granddaughter."
Samuel didn't like her secretive attitude and said discontentedly, "Just spit it out."
Debbie chuckled, "Back then, Patricia gave birth to twins. She left Randy, who was weak and sickly, with Martin, while the healthy one was taken to Moscow."
"What?" Samuel was thunderstruck and took a while to react.
Debbie took out a photo she had given to Sean and handed it to Samuel, saying, "Look, this is your grandson, he goes by the name Charles now."
Samuel couldn't believe his words, but as he looked at the photo of the little boy who looked exactly like his grandson Randy, his body shook with excitement.
"He, he's not Randy?"
Debbie said, "No, he's not Randy, he's called Charles now, and he lives in the Patricia Riverside Apartments. If you don't believe it, you can go and see for yourself."
"Charles, Charles..."
Samuel repeated Charles's name excitedly, again and again.
He couldn't believe it, he actually had another grandson.
And they were twins.
The Langley family had never had twins before.
This was the first time.
It was truly unbelievable.
Debbie slyly rolled her eyes and proposed, "The reason I told you this is because I don't want you to be deceived all the time. He is the Langley family's eldest grandson, how could he be abandoned? I think you should bring him back."
Although Samuel knew she had ulterior motives, he also felt that what she said made sense.
The Langley family's descendants couldn't be abandoned and follow the mother's surname.
That was absolutely not allowed.
Seeing that her objective had been achieved, Debbie no longer lingered, "Samuel, I've said what I needed to. As for what to do next, you decide. Please keep this matter confidential and don't tell Martin that I told you the secret. Otherwise, he will surely kill me."
Grateful for her disclosure of such an important matter, Samuel reluctantly agreed.
"Don't worry, I won't say anything!"
Debbie quickly expressed her thanks, "Thank you! Then I'll leave now! If Charles changes his surname and acknowledges his ancestry, there should be a big celebration to make everyone happy."
After speaking, she turned around with a triumphant air and left.
She wasn't going to reveal the 1.5 billion dollars after all!
Instead, she would make Patricia lose her son.
Having already called off the engagement with Martin, whether Charles returned to the Langley family or not was of no consequence to her.
Given the circumstances, she decided to make Patricia suffer and let her endure the pain.
Samuel experienced the anguish of losing his son. As he gazed at the photo on his phone, excitement coursed through his trembling body, and his eyes became moist.
Nevertheless, he was determined to bring Charles back.

That night, upon Charles' repeated pleas, Jade finally agreed to take him to the hospital to visit Fannie. Just as they opened the door, they ran straight into Martin, who was about to ring the doorbell.
Seeing Charles, Martin's face lit up. "Charles, where are you going?"
Jade instinctively protected Charles and stood in front of him. "It's none of your business. You, heartless and ruthless, are capable of anything."
Martin's deep eyes suddenly narrowed, and for a moment, a storm brewed in the shadows.
Not wanting Jade to conflict with Martin because of him, Charles pushed her inside. "Jade, let me talk to him. You wait inside."
"Alright, if he bullies you, just yell for help." Jade knew that Martin wouldn't harm Charles, but she still wanted to provoke him.
Charles obediently nodded. "Don't worry, I will."
Only then did Jade feel relieved and went inside.
Martin's smile returned, and he reached out to rub Charles's little head, but Charles dodged.
Feeling the anger in Charles due to Fannie being hurt by him, Charles spoke in a somewhat aggressive tone, "What are you here for?"
Martin knew that Charles was upset with him and tried to appease him. "I know you blame me for hurting Fannie. I didn't mean to. I just wanted to separate you two, but I couldn't control my strength. I'm sorry."
Charles kept a serious face and spoke earnestly, "You should apologize to Fannie, not me."
"I already apologized to her in person." The thought that Fannie was Patricia's and another man's child made it impossible for Martin to like her.
"Did she forgive you?" Charles looked at him, though it was a guess, it was filled with certainty.
If Fannie had forgiven him, she would definitely tell him they were related. If they were related, he wouldn't be in his current situation.
Not wanting to speak on Fannie's behalf anymore, Martin changed the topic, "Your Mommy is at the hospital with Fannie today. Why don't you come home with me tonight? Randy also misses you."
Upon hearing this, Charles took a step back, distancing himself from Martin, and cautiously asked, "What are you up to? You promised me that you wouldn't take me away from Mommy."
Martin hurriedly explained, "I'm not trying to take you away from Patricia. I just want to bring you to Ellenstein Villa District for one night and then bring you back tomorrow."
Afraid that Charles wouldn't believe him, Martin reassured him repeatedly, "Don't worry, I promised you, and I won't go back on my word."
Seeing his sincerity, Charles chose to trust him. "I'll go with you to Ellenstein Villa District tonight."
The Ellenstein Villa District is also fine, but I want to go to the hospital to see Fannie first. I'm worried about her."
Martin knew Charles was determined, so despite his reluctance, he didn't say much and readily agreed, "Alright, I'll take you there."
With that, he held Charles' hand.
Father and son had just walked out the door when the elevator door opened, and Samuel walked out with a stern face—
