Chapter 76 Mistress playing mind games again, Patricia handles it with ease.

The Watson family.

Debbie looked over the investigation materials, her face turning green with every line she read.

"It's not Randy, that little bastard. It's another little bastard Patricia gave birth to." Debbie cursed loudly.

Manda took the materials from her hand and looked over the document.

Inside were several photos.

The photos showed Randy being called away by Fannie and Jade and another little boy who looked exactly like him taking off his clothes and hat in the flowerbed, pretending to visit Patricia.

This caused Manda to question what was really going on, were these photos even authentic?

The photo material was taken from surveillance videos. Although the image quality was not as good as a professional camera, it was clear enough to see their faces.

Although Manda knew that Patricia had given birth to a pair of twins, this...

This was the first time she had seen them up close, confirming what she had heard. But still she felt so surprised by it that her eyes widened.

"That little wench Patricia actually gave birth to twins; how lucky can she get? If the Langley family finds out that Martin has another son, things won't go well.” Manda continued.

“Especially the Langley family's old master and mistress, they might rush back from Norway immediately. It will be even harder for you to get in then." Manda said through gritted teeth.

Debbie angrily slapped the files out of Mandy’s hand and onto the ground, her delicate face contorted in fury.

"She thinks she can remarry into the Langley family by using these children. How ridiculous! Since she's playing hard to get and deliberately hiding the child, I'll make sure this child never appears in front of Martin." Debbie threatened.

Manda was shocked and hurriedly asked, "What are you planning to do?"

Debbie narrowed her eyes and said, "What am I planning to do? You ask what I'm planning to do? Of course, I'm going to make him disappear from this world forever."

Manda was frightened by her daughter’s demeanor and tightly grasped her hand with the uninjured one, "Debbie, you've gone mad! That's the Langley family's child. If we get caught, we won't escape unscathed."

Debbie had long lost her sanity and ignored Manda's injured hand, pushing her away forcefully, she screamed at Manda. "It's because you're all cowards that I ended up like this."

Manda stumbled from the push, and even the crutches she balanced on wobbled, almost making Manda fall to the ground.

Despite this, she earnestly pleaded, "Debbie, you really can't do this! We can't afford to provoke the Langley family. If Martin finds out that you killed his son, he'll kill you."

Debbie smirked coldly, "As long as you don't say anything, who will know it's me! I just have to make sure it's clean."

Manda stared at her in shock, unable to believe that such harsh intensions came from her own daughter.

Taking a life could not be spoken of so casually. Manda thought to herself.

Debbie viciously continued, "Not only that bastard child, but also Patricia, I won't let her go either!"

Manda felt a chilly shiver run down her spine, suddenly feeling scared of her own daughter.

She remained silent, and Debbie paid no mind being so consumed in her own thoughts. She continued, "But before I go after them, I need to find an opportunity to return to the hospital!"

Manda asked, "Martin has suspended you, so how do you plan to go back?"

Debbie grinned triumphantly.

"Of course, I've already thought of a good plan! Once I'm back at the hospital, I'll take care of both Patricia and that bastard child!"

Manda opened her mouth to say something, but seeing that Debbie seemed to be consumed by madness, she ultimately stayed silent.

...

Meanwhile, at Ivara City Hospital, a significant figure checked in at the Cardiology Department.

The commotion was so great that it even alarmed the hospital director.

"Madam Thomas, rest assured, we will take good care of your grandson.” The director assured.

"Arrange our best doctors in the hospital.” The director ordered his assistant.

Madam Thomas sat in a wheelchair, with a stern face, exuding authority rather than anger. "No need, I only want Debbie, I don't want anyone else." She declared.

The hospital director appeared hesitant before speaking, "Well, you see, Professor Brown had an incident and is currently suspended, so she may not be available for now."

After speaking, he noticed Patricia passing by the office entrance and immediately pulled her over, trying to please Madam Thomas.

"This is Professor Watson. We just hired her as a senior professor from abroad. She is currently one of our most skilled doctors in the hospital. You can trust her with your grandson." The director assured Madam Thomas.

Patricia started to wonder what exactly was going on, as she had just come back with Hunter after dinner and now the director randomly pulled her into the office.

Madam Thomas scrutinized Patricia from head to toe, her face full of disdain.

"People nowadays, always claiming to be professors returning from abroad. Who knows what they really learned there? Many diplomas can be counterfeit."

Patricia never expected Madam Thomas to openly mock her. The director's smiling expression could hardly be maintained.

"Madam Thomas, Professor Watson's diplomas and qualifications are genuine. You can verify them online. If you don't believe it, I can personally show you the proof." The director argued feeling offended by the comments Madam Thomas made.

As the director was about to search the internet, Madam Thomas stopped him saying,

"No need. I don't believe in your so-called Professor Watson. She's too young and I don't believe she has the ability to see to my grandson. I just want Debbie; you find her for me."

Patricia, feeling inexplicably humiliated, wondered: "What?!"

The director was in a dilemma, as he tried to explain to Madam Thomas.
"She was suspended by our Mr. Langley personally. I don't have the authority to reinstate her."

Madam Thomas remained indifferent as she demanded. "Then tell Martin that I need to personally speak to him regarding a request for Debbie, let's see how he responds."

The director was at a loss, unsure of what to do.

Seeing the director's dilemma, Patricia smiled and said,

"Since Madam Thomas asked you to find Mr. Langley, then go find him and relay the request! Whether or not Professor Brown can be reinstated in the end, it has nothing to do with you.”

Patricia further suggested as she looked at Madam Thomas.

“Alternatively, you can contact Mr. Langley directly and have him come to talk to Madam Thomas in person. They are old friends, so it would be better than being a middleman for the conversation."

The director thought she had a point and immediately took out his phone to call Alan.

They were not qualified to contact Mr. Langley directly. Any issues should be reported to Assistant Alan, and then Assistant Alan would handle them.

"Well, since this has nothing to do with me, I'll leave!" Patricia politely said as she prepared to leave.

The director nodded.

When leaving, Patricia courteously nodded towards Madam Thomas before walking away.

Madam Thomas nodded in return however she still had a disdainful expression, as if she didn't want to spare another glance at Patricia.

But Patricia didn't mind and walked straight out of the office.

Just as she reached the door, she heard Madam Thomas ask. "Is this Martin's ex-wife?"

"Um...yes!" the director answered truthfully.

Madam Thomas dismissed it with contempt.

"Martin has such poor taste. How could he be interested in a woman like this? Who is so arrogant, self-centered, and thinks she's superior just because she came back from abroad."
Patricia halted her steps, her lips twitching involuntarily.

Arrogant? Self-centered? Thinks she's superior. When did that happen? Patricia wondered about Madam Thomas’s choice of words.

How could she not be aware of when she became so arrogant? Or if she had offended Madam Thomas.

The Dean stubbornly defended Patricia.

"Madam Thomas, there may be some misunderstanding here. Although Professor Watson is young, she is truly a modest and talented doctor."

Before he could finish speaking, Madam Thomas impatiently interrupted, "Enough, you don't need to praise her so forcefully! I have eyes, I can judge for myself."

The Dean was left speechless.

Patricia sympathized with the Dean, but she didn't dwell on it, and left not wanting to be involved in the matter further.

On her way back to the ward, she saw Martin coming out of Randy's room, giving her a cold glance before heading towards the office she had just exited.
