Chapter 41 Plan to Make Patricia Disappear Completely
Martin looked thoughtfully at the closed door. Cookies? Tiramisu? Patricia's cooking skills were so good, her desserts must be amazing too.
Hmm! He really wanted to taste them.
"Martin... Martin... Are you listening to me, Martin..." Debbie asked.
Martin was lost in his thoughts until Debbie forcefully tugged at his clothes, snapping him back to reality.
"What... "What?" Martin asked.
Debbie pouted, feeling wronged. "I've said so much to you, didn't you hear any of it?"
Only then did Martin realize that his thoughts had unknowingly been influenced by Patricia.
"What did you just say?" Martin asked.
"...?" Debbie was frustrated and had no outlet for her anger. She had to suppress it and repeated,
"Martin, please don't blame me, okay? It's because I care about you too much that I did something foolish. We've been together for so many years, and if... if you don't want me anymore, I really don't know what to do."
Martin wearily pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I'm not blaming you! Let's not dwell on this matter anymore." Martin dismissed.
Debbie's red lips quivered, hesitating for a while, then she couldn't help but ask, "So, did you sleep with Patricia last night?"
Martin explained, expressionless, "That's Randy's wish. He hopes to always be sleeping between Patricia and me."
Upon hearing this, Debbie felt a pang in her heart and her eyes turned red from feeling wronged. "So, what Randy said is true, and you both will sleep together every night now?"
Martin involuntarily frowned, his dark gaze briefly flashing a chill. "In your eyes, am I such a despicable person?"
Realizing her slip of the tongue, Debbie hurriedly explained, "No, I didn't mean that."
Martin's face looked unpleasant. "The relationship between Patricia and me is only as Randy's father and mother. There is nothing more, you can rest assured."
His disguised explanation made Debbie smile happily.
"Martin, I believe you! I believe you don't like Patricia. If you did, you wouldn't have divorced her and become engaged to me five years ago."
"Alright! It's getting late, you should go back now! I need to head to the office soon." Martin's handsome face turned cold and gloomy, his deep pupils flickering with an unfathomable coldness.
Debbie coquettishly said, "Martin, when can I go back to work? It's so boring to stay at home all day, I want to go to work."
Martin furrowed his brows and his thin lips instinctively pursed slightly. A trace of annoyance flashed through his eyes. "The incident from last time has had a significant impact on your reputation. Rest at home for now, we'll talk about it after the heat dies down."
"But..." Debbie was not satisfied with this answer.
She always felt that this was Martin's way of avoiding the topic.
She couldn't be at peace until she returned to work.
Martin's patience ran out, and his tone slightly revealed impatience. "It's late, you should go back now."
Seeing his anger, Debbie clenched her teeth and lips, unwilling to leave just like that. She sneakily glanced at the closed door and boldly wrapped her arms around Martin from behind, pressing her cheek against his back.
"Martin, we're already engaged. Can I move in and live with you? I want to see you every moment." Debbie cried.
Martin pried her hands off and moved slightly to the side, creating a bit of distance between them.
"It's not the right time for that now, maybe after some time." Martin said directly.
Debbie's eyes turned red with grievance.
"When will it be the right time then? We've been engaged for five years! Do I have to wait another five years?" she said, her voice filled with frustration.
Martin didn't want to answer that question and calmly explained, "Let's wait until Randy's surgery is successful."
Debbie unwillingly hugged him again. "Randy's illness might never fully recover! Are you going to let me wait indefinitely while he's still not well? I'm already twenty-six this year, how many more five years do I have to wait?"
Martin subtly frowned, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes, but he didn't push her away.
Throwing away her sense of shame, Debbie gathered up her courage and said, "Martin, can I stay tonight? We've been engaged for five years, and I want to fully become your woman."
Hearing her words and imagining that scene, Martin felt a wave of disgust rising within him.
He once again released Debbie's hands.
"Let's discuss it later." Martin said.
These brief words were like building a thick wall between them. His indifference chilled Debbie's heart halfway.
Unwilling to let go of this excellent opportunity, while Martin wasn't paying attention, she tiptoed and unexpectedly embraced his neck, pressing her red lips against his thin ones.
Martin's eyes immediately narrowed, and a hint of hostility emerged. Before he had a chance to push her away, the door suddenly opened.
Martin saw Patricia standing at the doorway and instinctively pushed Debbie away.
Caught off guard, Debbie fell to the ground, using her hands to break her fall.
There was a crisp sound and a sharp pain shot through her wrist.
Martin had no time to attend to her as he looked at Patricia. A touch of panic appeared in his usually composed eyes.
"Why are you here?" he asked.
Patricia glanced casually at Debbie lying on the ground, feeling an inexplicable touch of pain in her heart. She sneered,
"I'm sorry for interrupting you. If you can't wait any longer, please remember to lock the door next time. Luckily, it's me who came in. If it were Randy, it wouldn't be beneficial for his mental and physical health."
Finishing her words, she leisurely walked into the bedroom, picked up the phone from the bedside table, left expressionlessly, and considerately closed the door behind her.
A surge of restlessness surged deep within Martin's heart.
Suddenly, he found Debbie, lying on the ground, to be very bothersome. Debbie was filled with grievances, her wrist was now red and swollen.
"Martin..." she called out.
But Martin showed no signs of sympathy. His face was filled with hostility and impatience.
"I hope similar incidents won't happen again in the future," he said, as he dialed John the driver.
"Take Miss Brown to the hospital," he said, and hung up the phone.
Not long after hanging up, John arrived. Debbie, with red eyes, reluctantly looked at Martin.
If it weren't for Patricia giving birth to Randy for Martin, she would truly believe he couldn't perform.
Over the years, no matter how she seduced him, he was always indifferent. Damn it, which part went wrong? She cursed inwardly.
As she left, passing by the kitchen on the first floor, she saw Patricia teaching Randy how to make custard.
"Mummy, is it like this? Did I do it right?" Randy questioned with the sweetest look.
"Yes, that's right. Randy is really smart..." The mother and son got along harmoniously, creating a warm atmosphere.
Debbie slowly clenched her fist, consumed by jealousy. Once at home, she angrily started to smash and destroy things to vent her anger.
"Why? Who does Patricia think she is? Why is she competing with me..." Debbie questioned loudly.
Manda and Gavin were having breakfast.
Seeing their daughter leave joyfully and return angry, they immediately understood what happened.
Manda asked with concern, "Did you encounter Patricia in the Ellenstein Villa District?"
At just the mention of Patricia, all of Debbie's grievances poured out, and she held onto Manda as she cried.
"Mom, when will Patricia disappear? If she doesn't disappear soon, she will steal Randy and Martin away! Do you know? Last night, the three of them actually slept on one bed. They spend every day under the same roof.”
Debbie continued as she sobbed “What if Martin develops feelings for Patricia over time? Even if he dislikes Patricia, with Randy intentionally playing matchmaker, there will come a day when he falls for Patricia. I love Martin so much; I can't be without him."
Manda tenderly hugged her, comforting her back, "My dear daughter, please stop crying. It hurts me to see you cry!"
Gavin noticed the bandage on her wrist and his expression cooled, "Did you get hurt?"
A sense of humiliation made Debbie tremble.
"It's all because of Patricia. She's a disaster. Nothing good happens when you meet her."
Gavin narrowed his eyes with a menacing smile,
"Don't worry, Daddy has already made arrangements. Patricia will disappear completely soon and will never appear in our lives again. I won't allow anyone to take away what belongs to you."
Debbie immediately turned her anger into joy, "Will she really disappear soon?"
Gavin smiled slyly, "Yes, I have everything planned. In three days at most, she will disappear completely--"
