Chapter 52 Being Tracked

Martin sneered, lips pulled back, "Does he, a grown man, need you to accompany him to buy clothes? Afraid of getting lost?"

"...?" Patricia really wanted to reply, "What's it to you?" But with Randy by her side, fearing his wild imagination, she forced the words down.

Seeing her not answering, Martin's expression grew even more unpleasant.

Alan and Luke were sitting the edges of their seats, unable to bear it any longer. Alan mustered up the courage to speak, "Boss, we haven't resolved the matter of the new product launch yet. Should we go back and handle it first?"

Martin ignored them completely, his hawk-like eyes darkly fixed on Patricia, as if he wanted to drill a hole right through her.

With the boss remaining silent, Alan and Luke didn't dare to leave and could only obediently sit there.

The atmosphere was oppressive, suffocating.

Patricia seemed oblivious to Martin's gaze, her attention solely on Randy.

"Randy, you're not feeling well, so you can't eat spicy food, and you need to take a light diet! Try these crab meatballs, I've tasted them, they're quite good! And there's also steamed crab with egg yolks!"

The more she ignored Martin, the darker his expression became.

Suddenly, he spoke, "The Langley Group's new product launch was sabotaged. The rival company, the Thompson Group, took the opportunity to hold their own launch event. But then, someone sent the relevant departments’ information showing their products didn't pass inspection. Their products were investigated, causing the stock prices to drop, while the Langley Group's stock prices started to rise again."

Casually, Patricia replied, "Oh! That's good, congratulations!"

"The person who sent the information to the relevant departments was C!"

While saying this, Martin's sharp eyes blinked, never leaving Patricia's gaze.

As expected, upon hearing the name C, Patricia's action of picking dishes for Randy froze for a moment before she regained her composure and said, "This is your company's matter, it has nothing to do with me. There's no need to report it to me."

Martin noticed every subtle change in her. He became even more certain that Patricia knew C and knew him well.

"You know C, don't you?" His tone was incredibly certain.

Upon hearing that she knew C, Luke became visibly excited.

"Madam, you really know C? Can you introduce him to us? I've never admired anyone in my life, but C is the first. I really want to meet him and learn from him."

Patricia lowered her eyelids, concealing her guilty conscience, and answered with an awkward smile, "I don't know C and I have no idea what he does!"

Luke lowered his shoulders in disappointment and sighed, "I thought I would finally get to see the real face of C..."

Patricia's expression on her face was almost unable to hold it together. She couldn't imagine how Luke would react if he found out that C was a kid under five years old.

Lunch finally came to an end in a stifling atmosphere.

Martin suddenly said, "It's a change of season, and I don't have any clothes. Come with me to buy some clothes!"

"..??" Patricia pointed at herself, "Me?"

Martin raised an eyebrow and asked, "Who else?"

Without hesitation, Patricia immediately refused, "No! You should have Alan accompany you. I need to go back to the hospital with Randy."

Upon being called out, Alan was startled, imagining the scene of going shopping with the boss, and his scalp tingled.

Martin looked at Randy. Randy received his message and immediately pulled Patricia, saying, "Mommy, I don't have clothes either. Let's go and buy clothes with Daddy! Mommy has such good taste, the clothes we pick together will surely be very good-looking."

Patricia looked at them skeptically, "Don't you both wear custom-made clothes?"

Randy's face froze for a moment, then he quickly regained composure, "Even custom-made clothes can get a bit monotonous after a while! Mommy, will you come with us or not!"

Patricia smiled wryly and asked, "Is your heart not hurting anymore?"

Randy pretended not to hear the sarcasm in her words and shook his head, "It doesn't hurt anymore! With Daddy and Mommy by my side, it won't hurt!"

Patricia looked helpless on her face. Although she knew they had some hidden intentions, she had no choice but to reluctantly agree.

As they walked out of Basque Taste, Alan and Luke took a deep breath, feeling like they had just escaped from the gates of hell. It was the first time they realized how sweet the air could be.

Martin instructed, "I'll leave the chip matters to you. Call me if you have any questions."

Alan was afraid that Martin would come back to the company with him, so he eagerly said, "Sure, you have a great time shopping. Luke and I will take care of it."

"Hmm!" Martin nodded in satisfaction, and with Patricia and Randy, he left. Finally sending Martin off, Alan and Luke felt rejuvenated and quickly made their escape.

Martin drove Patricia and Randy to the largest mall in Ivara City.

On the ground floor were various snacks. As they walked along, Randy was like he had discovered a new world, full of curiosity with every little thing he saw.

"Mommy, what's that? It looks delicious!"

Patricia knew that he had been confined to home and the hospital since birth.

With Martin's personality, he wouldn't have brought him to a place like this, so she felt sorry and said, "This is takoyaki. Would you like to try? I'll buy you some."

"Yes, I’d like some!"

Patricia immediately bought him a portion. The two of them took turns taking a bite.

"Eating was such a delightful experience."

"Mommy, what's that? It smells so good!"

"That's tofu, you can't eat it! Once your surgery is successful, well come here and eat it together."

Randy was very obedient, so when Patricia said he couldn't eat it, he didn't. He didn't fuss or make a scene, and instead walked to the next food stall.

"What about this? Is it pudding?"

"No, this is cheesecake. Do you want to try it? I'll buy it for you!"

"Yes, I want to try it!"

The mother and son continued walking and eating, while the forgotten Martin followed behind like a resentful person.

Finally, Randy remembered Martin and handed him a piece of cheesecake.

"Daddy, would you like to eat this? It's really delicious."

Martin was pleased and was about to take it, but Patricia pulled his hand back.

"Your Daddy doesn't eat this kind of thing, you can eat it yourself."

"......?"

Randy didn't doubt her words, so he took his hand back and took another bite, looking disappointed.

"Daddy, this cheesecake is really delicious. It's such a pity you don't eat it."

Martin stared at Patricia with anger in his eyes, as if he wanted to kill her. Taking advantage of Randy's distraction, Patricia turned back and made a funny face at Martin.

Martin's anger dissipated when he saw her childishness, and he couldn't help but smile, his laughter reaching his eyes.

Even though they had already had lunch, Randy and Patricia had a taste of all the snacks they could find.

After trying everything, their stomachs were almost bursting.

After filling their bellies, they took the elevator to the fourth floor, the men's clothing section.

Little did they know, a figure had been secretly following them, capturing their photos and sending them to Debbie with a message, "Teacher, come quickly. Patricia is actually shopping with Mr. Langley and Randy. She's so scheming, using Randy to compete with you for Mr. Langley."

With that, the sender also shared their location with Debbie.

Debbie quickly responded, "Keep an eye on them, I'll come right away."
