Chapter 916 I Can Marry Her Right Away

After a quick look, Lisa lost interest and yanked Quentin back to the couch.

Only Oliver stayed hyped, "Hey Dad, Mom, you think one of these dudes could be my future bro-in-law?"

Lisa got all riled up, jumped up, and shoved him back to his room. "Your bro-in-law can only be Austin! The guy your sister's into is still a vegetable, lying in bed, can't even move! I don't get her. Austin's a great guy, but she likes a veggie."

She pouted, "Get back to your room and hit the books! If I catch you out here again, I'll break your legs."

Oliver stuck his tongue out and obediently went back to his room to do his homework.

As Lisa shut the door, she reminded him, "Listen, no matter what you hear, you stay put. Put on your earplugs. You're in high school now, and those entrance exams are coming up. Nothing's more important than your studies. Your dad didn't get promoted 'cause he didn't have a high enough degree. You gotta study hard, no matter what."

Oliver yelled, "Got it! You can't do it yourself, so you dump all the pressure on me. Hannah's the only one who's nice to me."

His voice got cut off as the door closed.

Lisa was used to his whining and didn't bother to respond. She went back to the couch and plopped down.

Just as she got comfy, the door opened.

Hannah's palms were all sweaty. She wiped them on her clothes, grabbed some shoe covers from the cabinet, and handed them out. She squatted down to help Charles put them on, but he stopped her.

Charles said, "I got it! You're not my servant; you don't need to do this. It'd make me feel bad!" His voice was super low, only the four of them could hear it.

Randy had already put on his shoe covers. He took the ones from Hannah's hand and smiled, "I'll do it!"

Once everyone had their shoe covers on, Hannah led them inside.

From the moment they walked in, they could tell something was off.

Hannah didn't care about anything else and immediately brought a chair for Charles to sit down.

Even though he didn't complain about the pain while climbing up, his tight expression showed his leg hurt a lot. He was just toughing it out so Hannah wouldn't worry.

Randy politely placed the gifts they brought on the table.

Randy said, "It's our first visit, and we weren't sure what to bring. Hannah said you weren't in great health, so we got some health supplements for you."

Lisa glanced at them dismissively, pouted, and said nothing.

Stella had heard from Hannah that Lisa favored Oliver and didn't like her, so even though they hadn't met, she already disliked her.

As for Quentin, he had threatened to kill himself to make her marry Austin, so she couldn't like him either.

Despite this, to get their approval for Charles and Hannah, she politely greeted them as she entered, "Hey! I'm Hannah's classmate, and we live in the same dorm. My name's Stella."

Lisa had heard the name before, but since Hannah didn't mention it often, she didn't have a strong impression.

She genuinely looked down on them. Her gaze swept over them disdainfully before quickly moving away.

When she got a good look at the three of them, a flash of amazement crossed her eyes.

Charles, sitting on the stool, and Randy, standing beside him, looked almost identical, like they were copied and pasted.

They were tall and well-built, with chiseled facial features, refined and elegant, clearly of high status.

Even though they were only wearing simple white shirts and dark trousers, their innate nobility couldn't be hidden.

Not only were they handsome, but even their hands were perfect, which were broad and long palms, distinct knuckles, and slender fingers.

The only difference between them was that Charles, who was sitting, didn't look as healthy as Randy, with slight dark circles under his eyes, indicating he hadn't rested well.

It had to be said that in terms of both temperament and looks, they were indeed better than Austin, even if not by a huge margin.

And if that wasn't enough, the girl who called herself Stella was so beautiful that it was hard to look away.

She was only wearing a simple blue T-shirt and black jeans, with no other adornments, but she was stunning. Her eyes sparkled like stars, filled with countless tiny lights, and her features were exquisite.

People are visual creatures. Seeing something beautiful inexplicably lifts the mood, and even the tone changes unconsciously.

Lisa asked, "Did you come to congratulate Hannah and Austin on their wedding today? If so, you might be disappointed! She backed out."

Lisa got angry just thinking about it.

Charles took Hannah's hand and, without beating around the bush, said directly, "She won't marry Austin. I'm her boyfriend!"

Quentin had been looking off to the side, not giving them a glance.

Hearing this, he turned his head in disbelief, "What did you say? Say it again?"

Charles reiterated seriously, "Hannah is my girlfriend. She won't marry Austin! I'm here today to sincerely ask for your approval for us to get married. I'm serious; if Hannah is willing, I can marry her right away."

Lisa's voice became sharp as she stood up from the sofa, "Do you know what you're saying?"

Charles remained calm, "I know exactly what I'm saying."

Lisa's face darkened with anger and she said, "Do you even know what you look like? A cripple, and you want to marry my daughter. What right do you have to marry her? I think you're just using your looks to seduce her. I'm telling you, I don't agree."

Quentin was dumbfounded by them, "Didn't you say you liked a vegetable? How did it turn into a cripple? Can't you like a normal person? You always pick someone with a defect."

Charles was stunned.

Hannah was also stunned.

Quentin pointed a trembling finger at Randy, "Even if you chose him as your boyfriend, I wouldn't be this angry. At least he has a healthy boday. They look exactly the same; why not choose him instead of the cripple?"

Charles was silent.

Randy was stunned.

Hannah was also stunned.

Stella almost couldn't hold back her laughter, her facial muscles twitching from trying to suppress it.

Who knew Quentin and Lisa could be so humorous?

Could feelings be controlled?

Could you just choose whoever you want?

And Randy would have to agree too!

This family was really something.
