Chapter 90 Killing to Protect Oneself!
Martin's body was covered in wounds, not fatal, but they were shocking to look at.
Alan couldn't believe it. Boss was injured like this, yet he didn't seem to feel any pain. It showed how strong his conviction was to enter the waist-high weeds.
After tending to his wounds and changing into clean clothes, Martin rushed to the emergency room without delay.
Patricia had already been taken to the observation ward. Martin arrived there and saw Patricia lying quietly in the hospital bed.
His tense nerves suddenly relaxed, and an unprecedented sense of satisfaction emerged, causing him to unconsciously smile.
"How is my wife's condition?" Martin asked the doctor.
The doctor, being clever, changed the way he addressed Patricia immediately,
"Mrs. Langley spent too long in the sea, which caused the injured areas to fester. However, her condition is stable now. Not a serious condition, timely cleaning and medication will not leave scars. However..."
At this point, there was a pause. Just as Martin's heart had just settled, he became anxious again.
"However, what?" Martin asked fiercely.
"However, Mrs. Langley has exhausted her physical strength and needs proper rest. Her diet must be light for the next three days, and after three days, she should consume nutritious food and drink more soup. I will also administer some nutrient injections for her."
"Okay!" Martin acknowledged the doctors orders.
Martin looked at Patricia with concern, unsure of what she had experienced during her disappearance. The thought of what she might have gone through made him furious.
After the doctor left, Martin stayed by her bedside without moving a step.
Noticing that Martin hadn't eaten, Alan took the initiative to buy him some food. It took a lot of persuasion before Martin reluctantly ate a little.
Perhaps he was too exhausted.
Martin stayed by the bedside until late into the night and eventually fell asleep, unable to hold on any longer.
…
At the same time, at the Watson family mansion.
Debbie was fast asleep when her phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Sean.
Nonchalantly, Debbie answered the phone, "Why are you calling me so late? Those two little brats were sent away smoothly."
Sean hurriedly said, "Something unexpected happened. Patricia escaped by jumping into the sea, and Grant hasn't managed to rescue her yet. Martin came with his men."
Upon hearing his words, Debbie suddenly woke up completely, her drowsiness evaporating instantly. She sat up on the bed.
"What did you say? Say it again." Debbie asked with a sudden tremble.
Sean repeated his words patiently.
"What should we do now? Martin caught Grant, and everyone on the cargo ship is implicated. Grant's right hand was cut off, and he and the evidence were taken to the police station. He's now looking for me everywhere!"
Forced to maintain her composure, Debbie asked, "What about Patricia? Is she dead?"
As long as Patricia was dead, even if she was sold to Japan, it wouldn't matter.
That way, no one would compete with her for Martin, and Charles's secret would never be discovered.
"Um...after she jumped into the sea, she somehow ended up on a deserted island and then Martin found her. I don't know if she's alive or not," Sean replied.
Debbie's eyes narrowed coldly, and her grip on the phone tightened suddenly. Due to the excessive force, her knuckles turned faintly white.
"She's not dead?" Debbie asked in a deeply vial voice.
Sean didn't have the mindset to discuss this topic with her. Changing the subject, he said.
"Whether she's dead or not doesn't matter. What's important now is that Martin is looking for me everywhere. Can you find a way to send me abroad? If Martin catches me, I'm as good as dead."
"Send you away?" A glint of menace flashed through Debbie's icy eyes.
"Yes, I can't leave because his people are guarding everywhere—land, sea, and air. I need you to find a way to get me out of here. I don't want to be caught by him."
Thinking about Grant, who was left with only half a life, and even the crew members unrelated to this matter, Sean feared for his own life now more then ever.
As his right hand had been disabled, if he were caught by Martin, he would definitely have no way out.
He didn't want to die yet.
Debbie slowly curled up the corners of her mouth, her smile seemed almost fake: "Alright, where are you now? I'll send someone to get you out."
"Thank you, Miss Brown!" Sean paused and added, "Miss Brown, I'm planning to run away now. I have no money at all. Could you give me some? I'm not asking for much, just five million dollars."
"Five million dollars?" Debbie clenched her teeth, a cold gleam flashed in her eyes.
Sean shamelessly continued.
"Yes! All the money you gave me before went to secure Grant’s services, and the rest of it was frozen. I'm going to a foreign country, how am I supposed to survive without money? Besides, the Watson family, being so wealthy, shouldn't care about a mere five million, right?"
Debbie's eyes filled with a murderous intent, "Fine, I'll bring you the check!"
She didn't expect herself to agree so readily. Sean quickly gave her his address, fearing that she wouldn't be able to find it, he even sent her a location pin.
After ending the call, Debbie tossed her phone onto the bed, and her expression began to twist with a ferocious rage.
He wanted to leave! Fine! She would personally send him off. Debbie thought as her anger grew.
Only dead people can always keep secrets.
Debbie took out an automatic fruit knife from the drawer and put it in her handbag. She changed into a long black windbreaker, wore a black outdoor sun hat, and a mask with sunglasses, then quietly left.
Manda, who came out to drink water, happened to see her leaving. When she wanted to call out to her, Debbie had already closed the door.
"Where is Debbie going?" she wondered.
Manda returned to her room with a belly full of doubts.
Following the location, Debbie found Sean hiding in a secluded village.
The once arrogant and domineering Sean was now destitute and pathetic, like an eagle with broken wings, losing all its former glory.
When he saw Debbie, he immediately greeted her.
Debbie opened her handbag and took out a five-million-dollar check.
"This is a Swiss bank check with five million dollars. I've arranged for people to send you to Country M. Get ready quickly, I'll take you there."
Sean took the check and carefully inspected it, only after confirming that it was genuine did, he put it in his pocket.
Impatiently, Debbie urged, "Hurry up, it's about to dawn. Do you want to be discovered?"
Sean smirked and suddenly hugged Debbie, his hand exerting a deadly force to rub against her, his mouth biting her earlobe while his hot breath sprayed on her neck.
"I'm leaving soon, and I probably won't ever come back! I still can't bear to leave you! Before I go, let's cherish this moment, and it'll be something to remember in the future."
His touch instantly ignited the fire inside Debbie. She closed her eyes and enjoyed it, her breathing gradually becoming heavier.
Being engaged to Martin for five years, he had never touched her. She was an adult with needs, but due to her status, she had to suppress her desires.
Her longing grew. Later, she met Sean.
In order to make Sean willingly do things for her, she offered her body, and eventually they became bed companions.
Whenever she had a need, she would find Sean.
Although Sean was unattractive, he had great stamina, satisfying not only her needs but also indulging her in various games.
There's no denying that they were extremely compatible in bed.
If Patricia's affair hadn't been exposed, she might have maintained this relationship with him indefinitely.
Unfortunately, now that things had been revealed, she could only let go of Sean to protect herself.
To be honest, she felt quite reluctant about the matter. Before killing Sean, she felt she should enjoy it one last time.
After so long together, Sean knew her too well and knew that she had already fallen for his advances. He pulled apart her clothes and delved into her...
An hour later.
Debbie and Sean were both exhausted and covered in sweat.
With a satisfied expression, Sean dressed and passionately kissed Debbie's red lips.
"You seductive woman, I've played with so many women, but you're the most seductive! To be honest, I can't bear to part with you. Once the heat dies down, I'll definitely come back for you." Sean promised.
Debbie calmly put on her clothes, hooked her handbag on her shoulder, and proactively embraced his waist.
"Take care!" Debbie said softly.
Sean thought she was reluctant to leave and boldly squeezed her rounded buttocks.
"I will! After I reach my destination, I'll contact you!" Sean promised.
Debbie nodded and said in a tender voice, "Hmm! I will miss you!"
Her heartfelt confession greatly satisfied Sean's vanity and made him feel elated.
Seizing the opportunity, Debbie slowly reached into her handbag, pulled out a fruit knife, and mercilessly stabbed him in the kidney from behind.
