Chapter 32 The Meeting of Three Children.
Patricia suddenly came to her senses remembering Martin's previous actions to her. She struggled desperately in fear. "Martin, what do you want to do? Let go of me!"
But Martin was already like a mad beast, ruthlessly ravaging her lips, the fiery kiss traveled down to her neck, as if he wanted to release all the suppressed anger at once.
Realizing his intentions, Patricia was truly scared. As tears began to stream down her face, they dropping onto Martin's face below.
The tears falling against his flushed face gradually brought Martin back to his senses, looking at Patricia with tears in her eyes, her disheveled clothes. Guilt and self-reproach engulfed him.
He couldn't believe that he, who had always been cold and ruthless, would be reduced to this state, he had lost all his inhibitions.
He, who was usually composed, unexpectedly lost control and almost had a sexual encounter with her. What was worse is that he was on the verge of forcing such an encounter on her.
"I'm sorry!" Martin said breathlessly.
Martin tried to calm his rapid breathing, suppressing the restless surge of emotions. He wanted to tidy up her clothes, but she pushed him away.
"Martin, you're shameless!" Patricia shouted at him.
Deep feelings of humiliation engulfed Patricia. She felt that Martin had trampled on her dignity and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. Clutching her torn collar tightly, she hurriedly fled from the study.
Her departure left a lasting impression in Martin's mind. He remained silent, unable to comprehend how things had escalated so fast and eventually turned out this way.
His gaze unintentionally fell to the ground, where a button lay silently.
It was the button he had forcefully torn off just now. He squatted down and picked it up—
On the other side of the mansion...
Patricia returned to her room, the residual warmth of Martin’s kiss still lingering on her lips. She rushed into the bathroom, continuously rinsing her mouth with cold water.
It was Martin's scent, the one she used to love the most. But now in this moment it only made her feel humiliated and uncomfortable.
She washed her lips for quite some time, almost to the point of breaking the skin. Looking up at her disheveled reflection in the mirror, she couldn't understand why Martin would treat her this way.
Wasn't the harm he had caused her five years ago enough? Did he need to humiliate her in this way now? Patricia wondered.
The consequences of being too heartbroken often resulted in insomnia. Tossing and turning in bed was inevitable and she only fell into a deep sleep shortly before daybreak. When she finally woke up, she felt dizzy with a severe dryness in her eyes.
Seeing her in this state startled Randy, who quickly asked with concern, "Mommy, what's wrong? Are you sick? Should I take you to see a doctor?"
Patricia shook her head. "I'm fine, I just stayed up too late last night."
Randy kindly suggested, "Then let's not go to the amusement park today. We can go next time. Rest well today."
Patricia smiled and comforted him "It's alright, I'll just wash my face! You go downstairs and wait for me. I'll be there shortly."
Randy stared at Patricia for a while, making sure she was okay before leaving.
After he left, Patricia dragged her tired body out of bed and went to the bathroom to splash cold water on her face. Only when her mind became clearer did she start getting ready for the day.
Her condition was not good and on the other side of the long passage, Martin was no better.
For the first time in ages, Martin experienced insomnia. His eyes were bloodshot and dark circles formed beneath them.
During the meal, the two of them remained silent and even the air around them became cold and heavy as if frozen.
After breakfast, Patricia gave Randy his medication, she also prepared the medication for noon and the evening, preparing to take the little one out for the day.
Reluctantly, Randy looked at Martin and pitifully asked, "Mommy, can't Daddy come with us? I want Daddy to come with us."
Martin adjusted his collar and eagerly prepared to accept the invitation.
But Patricia decisively said, "He's busy and doesn't have time!"
Martin looked at Patricia and noticed how much she had changed compared to five years ago.
Disappointed, Randy lowered his head and said, "Okay then! Let's go!"
Patricia took Randy and left, leaving Martin sitting alone on the couch.
On the way to the amusement park, Patricia sent a message to Jade, asking them to meet at the entrance of the park.
To avoid being recognized by Randy, Charles wore a duckbill cap and a face mask, only revealing his big eyes.
Patricia parked the car and led Randy to the entrance of the amusement park. From afar, they could see the three people waiting at the entrance.
As soon as Fannie saw them, she excitedly ran towards them. "Randy, mommy..."
Patricia helplessly covered her forehead. Her daughter was always so lively and could never keep things quiet for long.
Randy looked up and asked, "Mommy, who is that girl? Why does she know me and call you mommy?"
Charles held Fannie's hand and whispered, "If you want to be captured by that bad man Martin, then you can continue calling like that."
Realizing her mistake, Fannie immediately closed her mouth and stood still in her place, afraid to move.
Patricia made a gesture to Fannie, indicating her to be quiet. She had already prepared her words. Leading Randy over, she pointed at each person and introduced them one by one,
"This is mommy's best friend, Jade. These are her two children, Charles and Fannie. Jade and I know each other for a long time."
Then, she introduced Randy to Jade and the others, saying, "This is my son, Randy."
Fannie, being quick-witted, gave Randy a big hug right away. "Hello, Randy! I'm so happy to finally meet you. Patricia has talked about you so much and now I can see you in person."
Randy, being used to his solitary nature since childhood, felt overwhelmed by Fannie's enthusiasm. His face turned red, unsure of where to put his hands and feet.
Charles sensed his discomfort and pulled Fannie away, politely extending his hand to Randy. "Hello, I'm Charles. I'm older than you, so you can call me big brother."
This warm atmosphere was unfamiliar to Randy. He timidly looked at Charles, not knowing how to respond.
Patricia noticed his unease and knew that his world only consisted of a few older relatives, with no friends or siblings. She crouched down, smiled, and said,
"Mommy knows that you've never had any friends before, that your circle only consisted of Daddy and Auntie. But it's alright because they can become your friends in the future. They are all nice people, I'm sure you'll become good friends with them and be able to talk about anything."
Randy obediently nodded. Charles and Fannie each held one of his hands.
"Randy, let's go play together! Have you been to the amusement park before? It's so much fun here with roller coasters, water rapids, pirate ships, haunted houses, and Star Wars..."
Fannie spoke endlessly as she introduced all the rides and activities, her eyes sparkled with excitement as she spoke.
Their affectionate gestures made Randy's whole body stiff, making it difficult for him to walk properly. But despite that, their touch unexpectedly warmed his heart, as if they had once been this close.
They were the closest of family members and couldn’t help but want to get close to each other.
Patricia and Jade walked behind. As Jade stared at Randy's figure; she was amazed.
"He really looks exactly like Charles. If it weren't for Charles wearing a hat and a mask, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart if they stood in front of me," Jade commented.
Patricia smiled and said, "They're actually quite easy to distinguish! Charles has lively and intelligent eyes, while Randy has pure and clear ones. They're completely different." These were things that only a mother would notice.
Jade widened her eyes in disbelief, "You can tell that? You truly are their mom!" she giggled.
Patricia smiled and said nothing, following the three little ones closely, afraid of accidentally losing them.
Charles and Fannie were very enthusiastic. Fannie stood at the entrance of the haunted house and couldn't move her feet, saying,
"Charles, Randy, I want to go in and play."
Charles rolled his eyes, saying, "How childish. Everything inside is fake, what's there to play with?"
Fannie pouted and coquettishly said, "But I want to! I want to go in and play, will you guys come with me?"
Charles shook his head, "I won't play, it's too childish. I want to play in the Star Wars area."
Since Charles refused, Fannie could only turn her hopes toward another person, so she held onto Randy's hand, pleading,
"Randy, will you accompany me? I'm scared by myself!"
Looking at Fannie's watery eyes and blushing cheeks, Randy's face turned red with embarrassment. His mind went blank, and he nodded in agreement without thinking it through.
Patricia looked at Jade and asked playfully, "Are you going to play in the Star Wars area with Charles, or will you go into the haunted house?"
Without hesitation, Jade said, "Of course I'm going to play in the Star Wars area! I'm scared, I don't want to go into the haunted house."
After dividing the tasks, Patricia accompanied Fannie and Randy into the haunted house, while Jade accompanied Charles to play in the Star Wars area.
Little did they know, at the moment they separated, Martin, Carter Moore, and Ryan Parker appeared at the entrance of the amusement park--
