Chapter 712 Danger Lurks Everywhere

There really were surveillance cameras in the house.

Patricia was startled. She exchanged a glance with Martin, holding her phone, and followed the small red dot, inching toward the center of the house. When they reached the location of the surveillance, the red dot stopped flashing.

Patricia looked around.

This was the center of the house, and there was nothing here.

Where could the surveillance be installed?

Just as Patricia was puzzled, Martin had already brought over a chair, took off his shoes, stood on the chair, and removed the ceiling cover.

On the light strip, he found a miniature pinhole camera that looked exactly like a light hole.

Patricia broke out in a cold sweat.

The surveillance was installed right here.

No one would have thought there would be surveillance here.

It was terrifying.

They didn't even know when it was installed.

Martin removed the pinhole camera.

Fortunately, they hadn't done anything during this time, or everything would have been exposed.

Just as Martin and Patricia sighed in relief, another red dot lit up on the phone app.

Martin and Patricia held their breath.

Patricia whispered, "Is there another one?"

Martin nodded, took the phone, and following the red dot on the phone, found another surveillance camera in the air conditioner vent.

Then they found another one in a flower pot on the balcony.

After removing three cameras in a row, Martin and Patricia were still not at ease. They used the app to search around again and finally found another one in the bathroom mirror.

A total of four.

After removing all the surveillance cameras in the room, Patricia was drenched in cold sweat.

She said, "This is terrifying! There were four cameras in our room! When were they installed? We didn't notice at all."

The surveillance cameras were removed.

The tracking bugs on the phone were also removed.

Patricia finally dared to speak.

Martin's face was stern. "I'm afraid there are more than just four cameras in our room in this house!"

The Koch family mansion was so big.

If someone really wanted to monitor them, they wouldn't just install cameras in Martin's room.

There could be cameras all over the Koch family mansion.

Every move they made was being watched.

Patricia asked, "What should we do?"

She anxiously scratched her head. "What kind of power does Hunter have? We've already captured him, so how can he still do this?"

Martin speculated, saying, "He must have an accomplice."

Patricia held her breath.

She asked, "Really? Why didn't I see anyone the day he took me?"

When Hunter took Patricia, although her freedom was restricted, she was only not allowed to leave the house, not locked in a room.

During that day and night, there was clearly only Hunter.

There was no sign of Hunter's accomplice.

Martin thought for a moment, feeling something was wrong, and quickly said to Patricia, "Have Charles check Riley and Sebastian's phones. Their phones might also have bugs installed."

Their phones were custom-made.

They had multiple layers of firewalls.

So installing trackers or bugs on their phones was actually very difficult.

Only someone extremely skilled in computers could remotely operate without being detected, like Charles.

If it were an ordinary person, not only would they be blocked by the firewalls, but they would also be immediately discovered.

However, they didn't even know when the bugs were installed, which showed that the other party was a very formidable person.

Patricia nodded and sent a message to Charles, asking him to check Riley and Sebastian's phones.

After a while, Charles's message came back.

Charles: [All cleaned up!]

Charles's reply undoubtedly told them that Riley and Sebastian were in the same situation as Patricia and Martin.

They were also being remotely monitored.

Patricia immediately called Charles.

The first thing Charles said was, "Mommy, you and Daddy must be in trouble over there! Otherwise, why would Riley and Sebastian's phones have bugs installed?"

Patricia knew Charles was smart and that nothing could be hidden from him. Continuing to hide the truth would only make Charles worry more.

She replied, "Yes! We have indeed encountered some trouble! But it's not something we can't handle! I'm calling to ask you something."

Charles asked, "What is it?"

Patricia asked, "Is there anyone as skilled as you in computers?"

Charles laughed proudly. "Mommy, you finally admit I'm a genius! It would have been better if you praised me earlier."

Patricia quickly agreed, "Yes, yes! Our Charles is the best! A child prodigy who can not only protect me and your dad but also Declan and Maria. You're amazing! Our family can't do without you! You're my strongest support, and I love you."

Charles suddenly felt a bit embarrassed.

Why did hearing Patricia say these things make him feel nauseous?

It felt like sarcasm.

He said, "Alright, stop making me sick!"

Patricia forced a smile. "Then hurry up and answer my question."

Charles replied, "Of course not!"

Patricia was puzzled.

Charles said, "In this world, in the field of computers, not only is there no one who can surpass me, but there's also no one as skilled as me! I'm in a league of my own. My apprentice, Brian Mitchell, is so talented and was hired by Daddy with a high salary as the best programmer, but he can never compare to me."

Although there was some narcissism in his words, it was indeed the truth.

Patricia asked again, "How many people can remotely install bugs on phones?"

Charles said, "I don't know many now! But the world is big, and there are many hidden experts! Finding them would be difficult. However, I can strengthen the firewalls on your phones so that no one but me can install any programs on them."

Hearing this, Patricia's eyes lit up.

She said, "Really? Then install one for Riley and Sebastian too! And check Ryan and Lucas's phones, and strengthen their firewalls as well."

Charles replied, "OK! Give me a few minutes!"

In less than ten minutes, Charles's message came back.

Charles: [Done! I've cleaned and strengthened the firewalls on the phones of you, Daddy, Riley, Sebastian, Jeremy, Kaleb, Ariel, Lucas, and Ryan! You can talk freely now.]

After getting a definite answer, Patricia and Martin finally sighed in relief.

Martin then called Ryan, asking him to quickly go to Country M and told him the name and address of the mental hospital, asking him to find a man who looked exactly like Hunter.
