Chapter 1111 Sophistry

Austin was extremely nervous inside. However, when facing Charles's probing gaze, he still appeared very calm, without showing any signs of panic. "Charles, why are you looking at me? I didn't send those messages!"

Charles suddenly snapped out of it. Indeed, although Tina and Austin had sent many messages, none of them mentioned 'Austin' by name.

In fact, to avoid implicating Austin, Tina hadn't even saved his phone number. It was clear that she had memorized Austin's number long ago.

No wonder Tina was always so meticulous. She did everything flawlessly, making it very difficult to find any clues from her.

However, knowing how cautious she was, how could Charles not have a backup plan? Charles gave Austin a sinister smile. His smile was eerie and sent chills down Austin's spine.

Austin's heart pounded hard, and he felt a lump in his throat. He had a feeling that Charles was fully prepared this time; otherwise, he wouldn't have come to him so recklessly. But now, he could only adapt and respond carefully.

Charles dialed the number that wasn't saved in his contacts. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

Charles raised an eyebrow, feeling a bit of admiration for Austin.

Austin was very smart. Unfortunately, his intelligence was not used for good but for doing bad things.

Austin maintained his composure and smiled back at Charles. Ever since he killed Violet, he had thrown the phone he used to contact her into the river and turned off the phone he used to contact Tina.

He knew Charles would definitely take action. Sure enough. In just a few days, Charles had found him. Fortunately, he had been foresighted.

Tina, who had been struggling non-stop, quieted down when she saw the call didn't go through.

Charles smirked and asked, "Do you think that by turning off your phone, I won't be able to find you?"

Austin pretended to be clueless, shrugged, and said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You might not know, but I installed a virus on Tina's phone! Any phone that contacted hers would be infected."

"What?" Austin's face changed instantly. He didn't know that Charles had planted a virus on Tina's phone. He had been so careful!

Hearing this, Tina started struggling again, her eyes red and glaring at Charles, wishing she could kill him.

Charles said, "I know you two are cunning. After all this time, I haven't caught any evidence against you! So, how could I not have a backup plan? Tina is good at hypnosis, right? Since I arranged for Emma to take care of her, how could I not be on guard?"

Tina was stunned. From the beginning, when Emma handed her the phone, it had already been infected with the virus. And she had no idea.

But hadn't she hypnotized Emma? Could it be that Emma wasn't hypnotized? She quickly dismissed the thought. No way. With her skills, the hypnosis couldn't have failed. So, where did it go wrong?

Charles seemed to guess her confusion and generously explained, "From the start, the phone Emma bought was already infected with the virus. Emma didn't know! She had a recorder and tracker on her all the time. I knew her every move."

Tina instantly understood. So, Charles knew Emma was going to buy a phone for her, and when Emma entered the store, the clerk, under the pretense of getting a new phone, handed her one that was already infected. And Emma, unaware, brought the phone back to her.

She had thought her plan was flawless. But she had fallen into Charles's trap.

Seeing Tina's eyes gradually fill with despair, Charles finally felt the satisfaction of revenge. He took out his phone and quickly tracked the phone's location using the tracker.

The tracker showed the address as Sunset Bay Rose Garden Manor. Austin's body went limp, his hands dropping powerlessly. It was over! In the end, he was one step behind.

Charles said, "Alan, please go to Rose Garden Manor and retrieve the phone!"

"Alright! You all wait here; I'll go right away." Alan nodded and was about to leave when Charles called him back.

"Alan, wait a moment."

Alan stopped and turned to look at Charles. "Mr. Watson, any other instructions?"

Charles glanced at Austin, his lips curling slightly, and said, "Take Lassie with you! We need both the evidence and the witness."

It was time for Lassie to see Austin's true colors.

Last time, Austin had tampered with his car, causing him to become a vegetable. Out of guilt for Austin, he had kept it a secret until now.

Now, Austin had committed so many heinous acts and even killed the fake Violet. Although telling Lassie the truth would be cruel, continuing to hide it would be even crueler. If Austin wasn't brought to justice, more people would get hurt.

Hearing that they were going to tell Lassie, Austin panicked. "What does this have to do with my mother? You can't..."

Before he could finish, Charles said coldly, "Do you think you can still hide it? Did you ever think about her finding out when you were doing all those terrible things?"

With that, he gave Alan a look.

Alan understood and nodded. "Got it!"

Ignoring Austin's protests, he walked out while calling Lassie.

The call was quickly answered. Lassie's tired voice came through. "Alan, what do you need?"

Alan politely said, "Mrs. Moore, I need to go to Rose Garden Manor for some business. You need to come back immediately; this matter requires your presence."

Lassie's puzzled voice came through, "What business do you have? I'm at the hospital now, so..."

Alan, not giving her a chance to refuse, quickly said, "Mrs. Langley will be there soon. Once Mrs. Langley and Ms. Reed arrive at the hospital, you can come over! This matter requires your presence, and I'll personally come to the hospital to get you."

Seeing how serious he was, Lassie couldn't help but ask, "Did something happen? Is it about Hannah?"

Violet was already dead! What could be so important? She only cared about Hannah now.

Alan didn't directly answer her question but said, "We'll talk when we meet!"

"Alright!" Seeing he wouldn't say more, Lassie agreed. "Call me when you get to the hospital, and I'll come down!"

"Got it!"

After ending the call, Alan immediately called Patricia, asking her to take Stella to switch shifts with Lassie.

An hour later, Alan successfully picked up Lassie from the hospital parking lot. The accompanying bodyguards had already gone ahead to wait at the entrance of Rose Garden Manor.
