Chapter 102 Charles Finds Out the Truth

After rushing back home from the hospital, Patricia finally saw Charles.

Seeing the unscathed Charles, she couldn't help but embrace him tightly, her eyes filled with tears, her trembling body overflowing with excitement, "I've finally found you, this is great! I thought I would never see you again in this lifetime. If something happened to you, I really wouldn't know what to do."

Charles tightly wrapped his small arms around Patricia's neck and lightly pecked her cheek.

"Mommy, don't worry, I won't let anything happen to me! I was careless at that time, I didn't expect someone to attack us at the kindergarten gate. Otherwise, I wouldn't have let them succeed."

This incident was truly the biggest humiliation of his life.

Patricia held his little face in her hands, repeatedly checking to ease her worries.

Charles knew what she was concerned about, removed her hands, and smiled, "Mommy, I really didn't get hurt. I'm so clever, how could I let myself get hurt! The kidnapper who abducted me was so stupid, I fooled him around. He even wanted to give me sleeping pills! But he ended up taking them himself every time."

"Really?" Patricia always knew he was very clever, but she didn't expect him to have pulled off something like that.

Charles nodded vigorously, "Of course it's true! When the cargo ship finally docked, if they hadn't given me a sleeping pill while I pretended to be asleep, I would have jumped out long before my dad arrived."

Hearing his words and seeing that he was indeed unharmed, Patricia finally let go of her worries.

"Quickly tell Mommy how you've been all this time! Is there anything else Mommy doesn't know?"

"Uh-huh!" Charles nodded vigorously. He knew that if he didn't explain everything to his mother, she would surely start imagining things.

So, he pulled his mother to the couch and recounted everything that had happened after the kidnapping.

Towards the end, Charles's face was filled with disdain, "Mommy, you have no idea how clueless Luke is! I intentionally let him track my IP address several times, but he couldn't find me! He's really dumb."

Patricia defended, "At that time, your father had all his people focused on finding you, and he didn't assign anyone to Luke. He was willing but not able!"

Charles pouted and felt a mix of disdain towards Luke, who was known as one of the world's top programmers.

He believed that Luke wasn't as amazing as he was made out to be.

"......??"

After chatting for a while, Charles remembered something and grabbed Patricia, asking, "Mommy, did you tell me before that when you divorced Dad, you didn't take the divorce settlement check with you?"

Patricia nodded, "Yes! I left the check on the bedside table."

Charles narrowed his eyes, and a frosty expression swept over his face, "Dad always thought you took the check with you."

"......??" Patricia was confused for a moment and didn't react immediately.

Charles analyzed for her, "Mommy, you didn't take the check, so you thought you returned it to Dad, but Dad believed you took it with you."

Patricia understood, her eyes widening in astonishment, "So, someone secretly took the check? It's worth a staggering one billion dollars!"

Charles watched her silently, smiling. His expression said it all.

Patricia exclaimed in shock, "Who has the audacity to secretly take Martin's check? One billion US dollars!"

Charles looked at Patricia calmly, "Do you think the household staff can freely enter and leave the master's bedroom?"

"......??" A thought flashed through Patricia's mind.

Charles asked, "On the day of your divorce, besides the staff, who else was there?"

Patricia blurted out, "Debbie..."

Charles chuckled.

He chuckled with cunning and scheming intent.

"Besides her, who else can freely enter and leave your and Dad's bedroom? Even if it's the staff, they can only enter and clean after receiving orders, right?"

After his analysis, Patricia immediately understood.

"She's just as malicious as ever."

Charles grinned, "It's a bit too early to discuss these things now. I'll go find evidence!"

After saying that, he hurriedly ran back to his room.

Jade listened in shock, "Patricia, what kind of prodigy have you given birth to? Is he really only four years old? Could he be reincarnated?"

A four-year-old child should only know how to eat candy, right?

Like Fannie—

As she finished speaking, she subconsciously looked towards Fannie, who was sitting on the couch, happily eating a lollipop.

Proudly, Patricia said, "Charles has always been intelligent. I've had his IQ tested, and it reached an impressive 180."

"......??" Jade, whose IQ had just passed, fell into deep self-doubt.

Soon enough, Charles emerged with a laptop in his hands, placing it on the coffee table and kneeling on the floor. His slender fingers began swiftly typing on the keyboard.

Curiosity got the better of Jade, and she leaned over to see what he was doing. But she couldn't understand a single thing.

She couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated.

"Ugh, I feel like a four-year-old has surpassed my IQ!"

Patricia consoled her, patting her shoulder, "Don't worry, you're not alone. Even the world-renowned programmer Luke has been surpassed by him! So, there's no need for you to feel inferior."

"......??" Jade looked at her disdainfully and smiled wryly, "Thanks for the consolation!"

"Hehe!" Patricia chuckled and began discussing dinner plans with Jade.

After they had decided on a place, Charles had already finished with his results.

"Mummy, I found it! Three days after you and Daddy got divorced, Debbie's overseas account suddenly had an extra one billion US dollars. She used that money to participate in usurious lending, and over these years, she has made more than fifty million US dollars."

Once again, Charles astonished her.

"This...you found it just like that? Just by fooling around on the computer?"

This was too incredible!

Patricia looked at her speechlessly, "Don't be so surprised! Charles is even more talented than that!"

"......??" Jade was shocked.

Patricia no longer paid attention to her and sat down next to Charles.

Pointing at the data on the computer screen, Charles explained, "This is the record of deposits in her overseas bank account from five years ago, followed by every transaction she made. On July 10th, she withdrew ten million dollars; on August 2nd, she withdrew five million dollars; on September 10th, she deposited fifteen million dollars; on October 1st, she withdrew twenty million dollars..."

Charles counted each transaction for Patricia.

As they descended, Patricia's expression grew increasingly somber.

Back then, she didn't take Martin's divorce compensation out of pity for her fragile self-esteem and pride.

Little did she know that it would only benefit Debbie, while her ridiculous self-esteem and pride brought her and her child nothing but suffering.

If she knew the money would be taken by Debbie, she would definitely have forsaken her self-esteem and pride.

Jade listened with boiling blood, anger rising within her, "This Debbie is truly shameless. I'll tell Martin about this during dinner tonight, otherwise he'll continue to believe that you took that money."

"But why should she benefit from such a large sum of money for free?"
